My own Grandpap used to make us toy cars like this also, when my brothers and I were kids.
His original finished products were never quite as nice as this one, (after restoration), though; as pap wasn't too concerned about putting nice finishes on them for us.
Although; he certainly could've done so if he'd wanted too! He did hand paint them for us, but although he did Auto-Body work for a living, he wasn't nearly as good with a spray can and brush, as he was at spray painting cars!! 😊
Even so, I really wish I still had some of pap's toy cars today, but unfortunately, he simply soldered those cars together, and thru the years, the solders on each began to fracture, and they fell apart to varying degrees, & after I left home, someone threw all the remnants of them away.
I'm nearly 54 now, and I have to say, videos like this one, make me wanna try to learn how to make a few of my own!! Maybe I'll do just that!! 😊

What a beautiful antique toy it's a shame you didn't restore it properly. You didn't take it apart down to its tiniest piece to remove rust and then rust proof it. Sad lost for the toy car.

    1. Would not straightening the bent wheel have been easier and more perfect if you had removed it from the axel.
    2. You sprayed on the colour directly without any primer what is reason?
