Great job, looks like a hassle to get to the spark plugs, was thinking of buying a Nissan Versa, but after seen your video I better get a Corolla 🤣 thanks for sharing your experience
Nice video.... it showed a few people I knew something about what I was talking about...they didn't know where the spark plugs were, and they argued with me about the coil packs on the top of the plugs...(I paid attention to a mechanic that was working on one, and it paid off) cause they surely didn't have a clue awesome 😎
It is definitely not a first time a manufacturer put an intake manifold over the spark plugs. I do not expect this from a Japanese manufacturer though. Transverse mounted V6's are the worst. Thanks for watching.
Once you've reassembled everything just sit in the car and turn the ignition key on to light up the dashboard lights (don't try to start the engine) Wait 2 seconds then switch it off. That's all that's needed to re calibrate the throttle position to the Ecu. Now it's ready to run.
and even worse the injectors are under there too, and there are 8 of them. i think of them on my moms 2018 Micra has gone bad cause there is a misfire on 4 and I've already replaced the plugs and coils. I found that the bracket for the wire harness was installed on the car wrong as there was a tab from it left between the intake manifold and the engine potentially causing a vacuum leak from factory.
When you do a video you need someone to tape it and talk while you are doing because your body cover the whole thing! Let the viewers know what size of socket, too!
My intake manifold bolt is stripped from the bottom ones i tried a stripped bolt kit n no luck even took it to Nissan n they tried to charge me $600 to just take out the bolt
I can see the pcv valve on this is located by the side of the valve cover and connected via a hose to the Intake manifold. On mine pcv valve is located by the side of valve cover and it’s connected via a hose back to the valve cover. Do you this could cause oil going into the intake manifold always
A spark plug socket. They are specific sockets and have a rubber ring or a magnets so that they hold the plug and pull it out when you lift the socket out. They only come in two sizes, this, and most cars, use the smaller size
The instructions for the spark plugs are to turn the plugs down all the way by hand first. Then to tighten, turn another half turn or 180 degrees. The instructions were shown on the box at 6:50
@@MG3R why? Tight is tight on spark plugs, with a manifold you have a gasket to evenly compress but not destroy, but if you put every plug in with a dif torque but they were all tight enough to stay but not so tight that the threads get warped then theres absolutely no difference
Need some advice. Hopefully you get this... 2013 Nissan Versa 1.6 sv Have an issue with engine misfire. Got a code P0300. Replaced all spark plugs and coils. Went for a test drive. Everything was smooth until I was on my way home. One of the coils melted. The 4th coil to be exact. Got the code P0304. Replaced it with a new one but now the car won't start. It will crank but will not start. Battery keeps getting drained of course. Also the battery was already weak charge prior to replacing the coils. Not sure what to do. I'm trying to remove the alternator now to get it checked. Fuel pump works inside the tank. I can hear it when I turn the key on. I'm stuck.
This is a tough one. It sounds like there is an issue with your coil ignition circuit. I would first check the harness wires and connections going to the coil packs for any type of damage. I would also remove and inspect the spark plug on the cylinder that burnt the coil for any damage or cracks on the porcelain part of the plug. As for the car not starting. I could be possible that when the coil burnt it may have damaged another ignition component somewhere further up the circuit. If none of the spark plugs are firing, I would look into components that provide the signals and power to the coil packs. Igniter or ignition control module, camshaft and or crankshaft position sensor and so on. I am not to familiar with the ignition circuits with this model of car but these are some of the things that come to mind for me when trouble shooting spark issues on vehicles with coil packs. I hope some of this was helpful. Thanks for commenting.

Depends on the year, but also you’re talking about a price difference in the thousands for 5 minutes of work
Most all those new lil cars r the same … an some harder than others

How did you re - calibrate the throttle Body ?
Just say recalibrate throttle body and the computer will do it for you. 😅
My mom has one of these. I have a Ford Escape where you remove an engine cover, and it just pops right off. I think I will keep it.
2:35 "Re-Calibration procedure for unplugging the throttle body" Did you need to do this? How is this done?
No need to do that i unplug it n re pluged it back n i turned the key right before it wants to start n waited for a sec n it turned on fine
Omg all of this just for spark plugs? It's a nice car I'm not going to lie but why nissan made it so difficult to fix 😭
It is definitely not a first time a manufacturer put an intake manifold over the spark plugs. I do not expect this from a Japanese manufacturer though. Transverse mounted V6's are the worst.
Thanks for watching.
You haven't see a 2003 VW Jetta GLX V6 ! It is quite a task to do the Sparkplugs too, manifold sits also on top of the plugs.
Welcome to the wonderful world of compact cars 😉
I had to put a electric rad. Fan on my 2017 versa talk about a tight fit
If you think this is bad just wait until you have to replace the ac fan motor in one of these cars. 😂
Awesome detailed video how do you recalibrate the throttle body after you finish tuning it up?
Once you've reassembled everything just sit in the car and turn the ignition key on to light up the dashboard lights (don't try to start the engine) Wait 2 seconds then switch it off. That's all that's needed to re calibrate the throttle position to the Ecu. Now it's ready to run.
Awesome instructions man.@@harrybrown3657
Your video's keep getting better and better!
Great job. Now I will attempt my 2013 versa nightmare. Subbed.👍
Thanx doing mine for the first time on my own
Usually had lube and go do it but thought I could with ur help on the basic TIA

Need to speak each step and mention socket sizes.
It would helpful if you would say what size bolts and what the gap is if no gap then say so????
How Do you calibrate...? For throttle body
How soon would they need to be done after the check engine light comes on?
When you do a video you need someone to tape it and talk while you are doing because your body cover the whole thing! Let the viewers know what size of socket, too!
amazing demonstration.
Am trying to find these on amazon for a nissian note......any help Please
My intake manifold bolt is stripped from the bottom ones i tried a stripped bolt kit n no luck even took it to Nissan n they tried to charge me $600 to just take out the bolt
U made it look easy bro damn i was willing to do it intill u said u didnt want drop the plug in the cylinder so never mind ill pay
It won’t literally fall in the engine lmao
I need help I did exactly what you did but I didn’t replace my coils
Awesome. Thanks!
hi friend, can you please tell me what tools are needed to do this job? i have a 2014 versa too
Very helpful video that intake is a pita
I can see the pcv valve on this is located by the side of the valve cover and connected via a hose to the Intake manifold. On mine pcv valve is located by the side of valve cover and it’s connected via a hose back to the valve cover. Do you this could cause oil going into the intake manifold always
I re calibrated the throttle and made sure my cables were good and same spark plugs I had. Do you think the coils need to be changed ?
I recommend to replace the intake as will the hole part isn't that much
Pcv valve? Is it that purple thing on the left side?
Yes.
Did you use gasket sealant or no?
I did not apply any type of sealant on the intake manifold gasket when I reinstalled it. The gasket itself was still in really good shape.
@@mechanicallyreclined643 Thanks!!
When to change the plugs and now Im inspection the manifold what this sucks
I wish he would tell us what size sockets he using for the plug
A spark plug socket. They are specific sockets and have a rubber ring or a magnets so that they hold the plug and pull it out when you lift the socket out. They only come in two sizes, this, and most cars, use the smaller size
Stupid you didn't even say what size plugs are these .you must put emphasis on the non obvious
So no need to get air filter box and throttle body out of the way... Interesting oh sorry I saw at the end upper air filter box part is off
What did you torque bolts down too? Torque setting used?
Which bolts?
Thank you
How many screws are they in the back and how many total to take intake off
I replaced my plugs but it's still misfiring, what could it be? Will over tightened plugs cause it to misfire?
Most probably a pencil coil on one the cylinders.
Which cylinder is misfiring? Try switching the coil to a different cylinder and see which cylinder is now misfiring
What size socket?
How can I remove the injector please, could you make a video?
Your spark plug tipe are you using is NGK IRIDIUM??
I bought 4 plugs today. All the options were iridium just different name brands like autolight, NGK and so on
i realise you didn't use the torque wrench on tightening the spark plugs, instead used it on tightening the intake manifold screws, why
The instructions for the spark plugs are to turn the plugs down all the way by hand first. Then to tighten, turn another half turn or 180 degrees. The instructions were shown on the box at 6:50
@@mechanicallyreclined643 i still would prefer to tighten all 4 at the same torque spec. just personal preference
@@MG3R why? Tight is tight on spark plugs, with a manifold you have a gasket to evenly compress but not destroy, but if you put every plug in with a dif torque but they were all tight enough to stay but not so tight that the threads get warped then theres absolutely no difference
how often should I replace them?
Approx every 100,000 miles
Bro ia that 1.5L engine?
What is the spark plugs code #?
1.6L
Man, i went to a dealer they told me that they need to order special tool to be able to open the coil pads 😂
4:59 I don't want to go home either.
Need some advice. Hopefully you get this...

Check the electronic fuel pump sensor.
Fuse under the hood, 15 amp fuse
My car won’t turn on
hand tight is kinda subjective isn't it?!!!
Yes but the 1\2 turn should cover and differences is hand strength
It is a pain
