Thank you very much for this video. I have an 07 Nissan Sentra that is very similar to this motor. Thanks to you I can now install my intake manifold gasket myself and save some money. Peace from Ft Bragg. 🙏🏾
Awesome videos dude. My son has a 2010 versa….#3 cylinder miss fire. Parts will arrive from Amazon tomorrow. This will save him a bunch of $….he might owe me something for labor though, lol. Very well done sir, and thanks for including plug gaps and torque values as well!
Hey, this was super helpful, thank you. I changed out everything in July. You mentioned at the end that you didn't hear a high idol. What would a high idol sound like? My car started throwing a code P0507 and I'm not sure where to start. Maybe the manifold? I have the same make and year as your car.
How was the carbon build up on intake valves? Sorry I know this video is old but at 156k miles I could only imagine. I have a 2014 Versa thats direct injection and wish I would have known it before I bought it.
Plugs and gasket are not much. About $30-40. I didn’t replace any coil packs which could be very expensive depending where you purchase. I did all the work myself so I cannot comment on typical labor cost for this work.
You can if you want as an added layer of protection. I have never disconnected the battery to do spark plugs. The OEM Nissan repair manual does not state disconnecting the battery either for this scope of work. I only way I would see you running a risk of shorting something out for this work is if you have exposed wiring.
Removing Intake is gravy.. Takes 10 mins...It's letting it sit for 3 hours to cool off....And don't buy cheap coils.. You will be back in there replacing them...

Wish I saw this before I did my sparkplugs. Good reference video, thank you.
I just did all of that on my 09 Nissan Versa thanks to you. Thanks from Miami, Florida.
Good information. Thanks for that. It will help when I do the same job soon.
Man! Thanks so much, was looking for the pressure specs on the bolts everywhere, couldn't find it in the manual.
Great vid and narrating. I am going to this soon.
Thanks! Getting part to do the same on my kid's Nissan Cube! This was very helpful!

Great video! 👍
Great video and information
What’s the spark plug gap setting?
I changed mine today and what a mess with the Permatex Black RTV Silicone.

These engines have 2 injectors per cylinder. No carbon buildup on the intake valves.
What year versa is this? how long do you think it would take to just replace the intake manifold gasket and valve cover gasket set?
This is a 2009. I would say 45min-1 hour conservatively to do the job. Depending on experience and the tooling you have.
my valves are tapping -2009 versa what to do ?
Good job, thank you.
hello, will an Nissan note HR15 engine 2011 fit in an Nissan note 2006 (HR15) ??
Thank you!
You sure you got the right spark plugs? They've should've been pretty much pre gaped
How much does the job cost. Spark plugs, coil packs, and gasket?

Aren’t you supposed to disconnect the battery so you don’t accidentally short something out? I’m a noob here so real question lol

Why didn’t you show the pattern of the valve cover tighten down 😅

Why no RTV?
RTV is almost never needed when gasket is properly fitted and bolts torqued properly. I rarely ever use it and have never had a new gasket leak.
These engines are not bad, just the CVT so unreliable.
Did this step for step.now I can't get the car started again...urrgghh
Thank you very informative
