With this Vegas crash, he has to be close to overtaking Sergeant in the Deconstructors championship, in a way shorter time span. No offense to Franco; I think he is a very talented young driver and has a promising future in F1, but all this hype has come from one kind of lucky outcome in Baku: three cars were taken out on the last lap, resulting in almost all his points.
Return the chip and take the cash for a local charity, great video . Guess the film production is paying for the whole parking lot if they have car towed. Probable just as much cash if not more than to rent rooms in one hotel. Great video love the difference location you shot from on that track.
Oh Vegas, it will be 72 degrees this afternoon, perfect weather and time for the race. Come on F1, it is too cold here in late November for a night race !
Yeah and it's also crap that the timing is damn inconvenient for many of the people watching from USA. Qualifying and race at midnight Central Time... 🤔
F1 is not expanding now because Greg Maffei is retiring but because Michael Andretti has been removed as owner of Andretti Global. He was the one "bad for the sport". Andretti was running out of people to p*ss off in the paddock... and being scrutinized by the Federales in a criminal investigation surely did not go down well with the folks in Detroit who are writing the checks.
Red Bull have a real problem with that second seat . Perez's performances are bad but they refuse to promote Yuki but their preferred replacemment Liam is n't beating Yuki . The best thing that could happen for F1 is for Red Bull to buy out Sainz's Williams contract allowing Franco to stay at Williams but I can't see that happening.
He has only done 3 races and the 1s P19 to P9 COTA thanks to Daniel PU penalties, Mexico Tsunado crashed in Quali after Haas set their times and Liam hadn't and crashed in the race corner 1. In Brazil Lawson was spun by Piastri and the 10 penalty split Yuki and Liam. So Liam is close to Yuki and only has $125K in damage for the wing Colapinto took off. Yuki has $2m. Yuki has 4 years in F1 and Liam has 8 races in total. That is why they know he has the minerals.
Latifi, Sargent and now Colapinto. Williams need to pursue Piere Gasly by now. With his record of not destroying his car the Williams Garage will beg for Piere Gasly
Latifi and Sargent were dead last or crashed at the end of the race without any opportunity to get ahead. If Franco had finished that qualifying lap, not only would he have finished it with a purple in the third sector, but he would also have gotten into Q1. Only in the Latifi or Sargent dreams would have been that a possibility.
You make mistakes in F3 and F2, not in F1, make a few in F1 and you are out. They are starting to come to F1 too young and too inexperienced. This is counter productive.
Yeah... Sure. Do you know what Kimi, Mika, Michael, Ayrton, Alain, Nigel, Nelson, Max, Lewis, Sebastián, Jenson, Fernando, Damon, Jaques, and Niki have in common? I have seen all those drivers crash. Do you know what else have they done? They became world champion the next year.
so sad to see Checo's performances - he has shown time and again he has/had the goods. So what is really behind this? Would love to see you do a little digging on this. Maybe he is just over it but I can't help feeling theres something else.
Franco is definitely a talent, he just needs more experience, hope he gets a drive in the future, especially if Checo will lose his seat, LatAm will want more representation on the grid.
@@74_pelicanseveryone was a rookie at some stage. He finished higher in F2 than Colapinto, and has had a bunch of testing, and has done a lot of simulator work and just knows the team well. Max fought on track with other drivers IN RACES and had small crashes, he crashed once in Monaco FP and once in Monaco during race with Grosjean. And Franco is on no shape or form anywhere near Max’ talent 😂 that you compare them 😂😂😂 ludicrous
Williams have had driver destruction issues for years. Latifi onwards. They keep engaging. juniors who lack experience in open wheel racing cars. Carlos will be a rare experienced driver joining in 2025. Gasly still hasnt damaged a car at all...all year.
Honestly he's still scored 4 times the amount of points Sargeant did in a fraction of the time so I think he's still worth the RB seat, Red Bull would be too soon I think.
You're right - give the kid break. He has shown real talent but there may be one or two flaws in his driving at this level, ;orbably as much about inexperiene as anything. Flaws can be fixed and cars can be fixed . He needs a lot of time in a simulator and some real coaching over the next year which he will probably spend as a back-up driver. . His potential is great imo. I much prefer watching talented youngsters like Franco fight for glory and fame - than watching the growing parade of yesterday's stars who have lost it using F1 like a retirement home. Keep up the great reports Kym,

Franco came in with zero pressure and expectations and performed like it. Then he started feeling the pressure from the new attention and talk about a drive in '25, and it's gone a bit pear shaped. F1 fans are too excited to crown new young drivers, but you need to see how they perform under pressure before you know what we got.
It was interesting watching senior drivers, Hamilton, Verstappen, Hulkenburg and Magnussen decline the media photo op. Is it just me or could there be a correlation between the amount of social media F1 drivers do and their on-track performances. Case in point; after each time I’ve seen Oscar Piastri doing media stunts on RUclips (go kart racing Pedro Acosta and reversing tractors on Jeremy Clarkson’s farm) he has had a mediocre (for him) F1 performance. It would interesting to hear the driver’s opinions on the effect of meeting media obligations on their driving performance.
Because he’s crashed 4 times now in 7 race weekends, which is pretty much what Logan was doing, granted Franco is doing a much better job from a results perspective but the swap was meant to reduce the damage bills and has failed to do so
It’s F1, you’re only as good as your last race…and it’s been two races in a row he’s had big crashes, which he can’t afford especially when his looking to secure a seat for next year, unlike the other drivers that have a contract.

You are making excuses. Nothing hit the floor, he hit the wall on the left
@Redlingstein Just check the numbers instead trolling, smart ass
@@Redlingstein Just listen the audios between Franco and Jego before the crash, asshhhhhhole
Whom ever lost the chip more than likely won't miss it. Put it on the Crap table and if you win either have a little extra fun or donate it to a local charity. Kym as always thanks for the great content!
he is way too fast to ignore.
He crashes fast yes….
4 crashes in 6 races. That is not fast…. That is over 3 million in damage costs…. That means no money for car development, no spare parts…
Baku FP1, BRASIL twice, Now Vegas.
Franco is not ready for F1….
Everyone saying they want young drivers, well this is quite often the result. How many cars has he destroyed already? Same with Yuki. He wipes cars down the wall regularly and that is one reason why he will never partner Max in the Red Bull.To finish first, first you must finish.
if they let him go for this years performance... perez should go to jail for a week for this years performance xDDD
Only a week?
The smell of Marijuana and the complaints had me weak 😅
The complainers got striped at the gates
yeah lol its not banned in vegas
I don’t understand keep the vice at home or away from public events not everyone wants to smell marijuana everywhere they go. If you’re driving at 200+ mph and still smell it somethings wrong.
Then when they the race out the calendar people get mad 🤷♂️
Franco future was allways i'm doubt for 2025, never to 2026.
4 cars destroyed in 6 races+ 1 quali. That is usually not a good sign regardless of rookie or not.
Yuki could have just flown to Mexico and come across with no problem or ID
😂😂
he has to take the risk , he is an f1 driver .. vamos !!!! 🇦🇷🇦🇷
Oh boy you think it’s okay to crash 4 times in 6 races and create over 3 million in damage costs…
VOWLES had given him 1 order… DO NOT CRASH……
As F1 driver You don’t risk it all in each situation… A REAL F1 DRIVER KNOWS WHEN NOT TO RISK IT….
Franco is no real F1 driver…. Hé is overhyped and out of his depth in F1
Shock, horror. Highly hyped rookie goes from hero to zero in a day then probably back to hero next week.
So glad I follow teams and not drivers, way less frenetic and a part of F1 that seems to be largely ignored by the media who fuel the obsession with one driver or another.
@@sultanoftippoo3857 Most people care much more about the drivers, it's the human element above all else. It it what it is.
@ absolutely agree, so glad I’m not “most people”
Well, even if you're fast, if you're going to bin your car every second race, you won't have a car to race with and your team can't afford to keep you.
It's Nyck de Vries all over again!
Always has been 😂😂😂
He’s a lot less arrogant than de Vries was
Nyck: 11 races, 2 points.
Franco: 6 races, 5 points.
It doesnt look like the same to me.
No it isnt tf
the problem is that journalists had painted him as the new Senna because he had scored 2 points... we need balance in life... go Ferrari always
Doesn't need to rush in to a seat could do reserve and practice sessions...
Kym, Great seeing you last night and thanks for coming in Papi’s to say Hi to your fans, Scott and Khristy
In the UK if you were to keep it (or spend it, which is classed as taking ownership) it is a crime - Theft Through Finding. Doesn’t just apply to money, it can be used for anything you ‘find’ that doesn’t belong to you. Chances of getting it back to its owner are tiny, I’d either just donate it to charity as is, or have a bit of fun in the casino and donate any winnings. Let the Aria know what you’re doing, they might make a donation too in return for the PR!
My thoughts exactly….
Yesterday worth $20 million - today, slightly less so. And he’s dropping daily. Sell your shares in Colapinto industries NOW.
I like how everyone conveniently forgot that Crashstappen was a thing. All Rookies crash. The slow ones get cut. The fast ones turn into your Verstappens and Leclercs
Switch the Miami and Vegas race on the schedule. Geez!
Now that Greg Maeti is gone F1 can expand. Him holding a grudge against Michael Andretti was bad for the sport.
@@aoife1122 Well said
Stop believing fake fantasies
Pérez performances are not bad. He is 1,2, 3 places behind the world champion in most races.
That picture of Aníbal 💙💙💙
Wow that’s a quick turnaround on this vid Kym. I’m only just waking up from my night at the track! Back at it this afternoon.
Latifi, Sargent and now Colapinto. Williams need to pursue Piere Gasly by now. With his record of not destroying his car the Williams Garage will beg for Piere Gasly
Well they have Sainz and Albon next year so they'll have experienced drivers now
Latifi and Sargent were dead last or crashed at the end of the race without any opportunity to get ahead. If Franco had finished that qualifying lap, not only would he have finished it with a purple in the third sector, but he would also have gotten into Q1. Only in the Latifi or Sargent dreams would have been that a possibility.
Latifi and sargent are no where near colapinto. He continues to out perform alex palbon.
He was fair flying in that last lap, just pushed it a bit hard and made a mistake
Great stuff mate , love it. Thank you sir
Love your pictures! Yes, so many colors ♥️💙🖤
Sad but stark reality.......hero to zero in a millisecond........wishing Franco all the very best healthwise....stay safe........
love those high motion photos of paris! the colorss are amazing!
Franco will learn, just pacience
Franco wrecks equipment. That's a big problem.
Cough* crashstappen *cough*
9:44 bet it on black
so sad to see Checo's performances - he has shown time and again he has/had the goods. So what is really behind this? Would love to see you do a little digging on this. Maybe he is just over it but I can't help feeling theres something else.
The best F1 informations always from you, Kym! 👏🏼🙂↕️Thanks a lot! Hope Franco is doing well! 🙏
Franco is going to be great. -- Nice photos Kym
You people expected Franco to be the second coming of Verstappen. Brasil was horrid and this is just a rookie mistake. Bad luck I guess.
Franco is definitely a talent, he just needs more experience, hope he gets a drive in the future, especially if Checo will lose his seat, LatAm will want more representation on the grid.
Hope they've got an audio recording of Yuki's reaction to being detained for two hours.
i agree with @leeshand "Charity gamble the chip! Give proceedings to Valteri's Charity."
Alpine were trying to get Colapinto and ditch Jack Doohan for next year but they mite have a rethink and stick with Jack
Because jack has proven his f1 ability
@@74_pelicanseveryone was a rookie at some stage. He finished higher in F2 than Colapinto, and has had a bunch of testing, and has done a lot of simulator work and just knows the team well. Also that Junior program needs a clean graduate into F1. Zhou had to pay his own way, and Piastri… well Webber did the right thing.
I reckon he deserves a punt from Alpine.
Kimi, Mika, Michael, Ayrton, Alain, Nigel, Nelson, Max, Lewis, Sebastián, Jenson, Fernando, Damon, Jaques, Niki... I have seen all those drivers crash.
Do you know what else have they done? They became world champion the next year.
Anyone that saw the video of the Wiliiams factory putting the cars back together, sanding down carbon fibre mod-podge fixes, knows the Dorilton guy is looking like that knowing - "we've no spare parts" - If Franco isn't racing tonight, it's not because of the crash, it's that they can't glue the parts back together again, as half of it was epoxied together in the factory before the race.
Well this certainly wont help his career

Give the kid a chance, Williams has a long way to go anyway.
There's genuinely no sport or serialized event with worse media than F1. Crazy!
Unfair that people are now questioning if he is ready for f1, people forgetting that he is still a rookie.
He's faster that Sargent, but equal in write off crashes.
A couple of races ago people were saying Williams would drop Albon for Colapinto.
Local Nevadan here. Cash that chip! Finders keepers
Fame went to ColaHypeJob's head. Strutting around the paddock like he's the next Senna was never going to end well.
It is better to be fast and have accident than be slow and safe. Anybody remember the guy with a nickname Crashstappen?
Max didn’t crash himself into the wall 4 times in 6 races, like Franco now has done 😂 But haters liked to talk down on Max and called him names yes, like your as Max hater.
Max fought on track with other drivers IN RACES and had small crashes, he crashed once in Monaco FP and once in Monaco during race with Grosjean.
And Franco is on no shape or form anywhere near Max’ talent 😂 that you compare them 😂😂😂 ludicrous
@@Redlingstein Sorry but you are commenting your imaginations, and I'm not going to entertain that.
Re the Aria chip. Chase should put it in his pocket and cash it next time he walks by the Aria. Then, take the old man out for dinner!!
Can there be an issue with the car design if theres being so many crashes with different drivers
Williams have had driver destruction issues for years. Latifi onwards. They keep engaging. juniors who lack experience in open wheel racing cars. Carlos will be a rare experienced driver joining in 2025. Gasly still hasnt damaged a car at all...all year.
Stil mad that you gave us hope over Daniel post
How's the new camera?
Why? Because he crashed? Jesus Christ people what happened to nuance? Certain drivers crash all the time and no one even dares to ask questions.
This is RUclips….
There is no nuance, just opinions by the bucket load (really big buckets I hasten to add)
Checo crash almost every race.
Because he’s crashed 4 times now in 7 race weekends, which is pretty much what Logan was doing, granted Franco is doing a much better job from a results perspective but the swap was meant to reduce the damage bills and has failed to do so
Mick Schumacher was slagged off for these kinds of crashes
It’s F1, you’re only as good as your last race…and it’s been two races in a row he’s had big crashes, which he can’t afford especially when his looking to secure a seat for next year, unlike the other drivers that have a contract.
I think Franco got potential, when he starts placing and winning races people’s perception will change
4 crashes in 6 race weekends… over 3 million in damage costs…. Baku FP1, BRASIL 2 crashes and now Vegas. Francois overhyped and overrated. In F3 and F2 he was mediocre. Franco is not ready for F1….
And your delusion abt winning races 😂
I know all about Vegas Kim I used to live there for 2 years, The cold at night and dry air. I'm also a press photographer for Getty.
I lived there for 1 1/2 years 1980-1982 and went through two winters. I was surprised that the LV races would be held late at night because I was familiar with LV's cold winter nights!
How are you getting on with your new Canon cameras?
Finders keepers...tell him to go gamble with it !
I watched qualifying last night and COL made a mistake on that turn that led to the crash
