I'm glad we have all these people denouncing glass panels.. I appreciate that they know far more than the manufacturers, airlines, and the FAA and have single handedly uncovered a massive conspiracy that has made it impossible to buy new aircraft with steam gauges.. not only that, the airline industry is actively spending billions to reduce safety in the cockpit by getting rid of those trusty old gauges!
Only 3/4 rich mixt on takeoff? What ff do you get on takeoff roll?
This plane does not like full rich. If you notice in this video, we had a high fuel flow warning (fuel flow gauge in the red at the top of the scale) even at the reduced mixture setting. According to my A&P there is no way to recalibrate the mixture to make the full rich setting a lower flow so, we just don't use full rich. This method is applicable to this particular plane. I don't advocate this for other planes unless they demonstrate this behavior.

I purchased a DA40 G1000 to fly for a year until my Cirrus is ready for pick up in Knoxville. 50 hours into my training I still can’t land this airplane consistently. Frustrated!
