I really enjoy the Sovl videos, but I gotta say the first video in each run does drag with the in depth explaining of every basic mechanic. Maybe just a "if you're new to Sovl go watch [X playthrough] where I explain how everything works." Would make the first video a lot more watchable for anyone who has already seen some of your runs or are familiar with the game already. Obviously that isn't to say that you shouldn't explain mechanics that are unique to a given faction/race when relevant, i.e. undead not routing upon losing combat resolution.
The analytics I can see reveal that every part 1 has far more new viewers than returning viewers. As long as that is true the beginning explanation will likely stay as there is more value in the explanation for those new than what is lost in the veterans having to hear it again.
if you take the upper start and go down first, and after always up, you go through the same amount of battles but one elite more. so more gold but not at the first shop.
Oh you're right. My instinct to take the triple battle before the first shop got the better of me there. It is very nice having max gold for that first buy though.
