    *Ok cool, but how do you change a bad vocalist to a good vocalist in GarageBand?*

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  2 года назад +4

      Hire a new vocalist? 😎

      You have to first go into this app called “real life,” it’s a really immersive game with great graphics but pretty mediocre gameplay… Anyway, then you have to activate a plug-in called “practice” and wait for it to do its magic. It works pretty well most of the time. The only bad thing about it is it takes a while to finish fixing the bad vocalist, plus some bad vocalists have a bug where they refuse to accept the “practice” plug-in, or they only run it for so long before booting it…

    Pete great program. I think this is really important segment. I SUCK at keyboards but I can “make” chords by ear and this will really help. THANK YOU

    The most interesting thing I know in GarageBand is that the edit chords button was around since version 1!

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  2 года назад +1

      Really? Didn’t know that as the chord strips mode only got added in version 2.1 o thought? Very cool.

      @@PeteJohnsMusic Wait. I think I got that wrong. I think the edit chords button was added the same time chords strips mode was added.

    I have a tip on how to edit 'dominant⁷♭⁹' chords in Chord Strips mode, as they don't have 'dom' by default.
    Edit - At 3:58, the B♭ as the bass note is silent unless you hit the very bottom key on said strip. The top five white keys are just playing E-⁷; but I'm sure you're well aware of that. 👍🙂

    Hey Pete I’ve been listening to a lot of music here on RUclips lately for my own personal recording purposes.. but mostly isolated vocal tracks.. A few here and there with just vocals and backing tracks.. for instance Godsmack song “I stand alone”.. just to get a better feel and train my ears a little more on EQ, vocal doubling or more, and effects..what is your thoughts on this?…

      @PeteJohnsMusic  2 года назад +1

      Hey there. Yes it’s pretty cool doing this if it’s helping you out. Be careful listening to too many soloed or isolated tracks as it’s often better to hear tracks mixed in with other tracks as things like EQ will sound very different when mixed in.

    Great thank you ..but your using midi
    On wave how do you change keys..?

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  2 года назад

      Hey there. Actual samples audio is quite different from triggered MIDI. You’d need something like this for changing audio files.

    When we’re using one of the Audio Unit (AUv3) instrument, we don’t have the chord strip & exiting the chords.

    Thank you for the video! But…. I am missing key bb/a# …?

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  Год назад

      It will be there. Some you’ll just need to dial in and make sure you’re using either the flat or the sharp.

    Sorry to bother you, but using one finger, two or three and changing the sound, doesn't it come out on my ipad?

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  2 года назад

      Depends on the instrument. Some have only one patterns but some like piano and organ have three variations.
