Nice profit !!! One factor in your favor is being able to wait out for parts and painting that the original owner can't afford. I had one of these (I am from the USA) as a rental back in September out of Manchester Airport to travel in northern England and Scotland. I reserved a Clio or = from Avis with auto transmission. (I drove an Audi A3 in Ireland in May with stick, too much hassle to use stick for me especially in traffic). I guess for whatever reason, perhaps a deal from Renault, it was a hybrid. Got 15 miles per Liter (60 miles per US Gallon), it handled well, road well, I was quite pleased with it.
As a mechanic its something you need to do is keep the nuts and bolts in order i learnt from a old school mechanic years ago if you are doing a big job get a big bit of cardboard and put the bolts and nuts into it and write where it come from, and the nuts separate on a bit of paper and write what its from, and if its not a huge job just put them in order on the bench from start nuts and bolts on the left and finish on the right and then you now to always start on the right when putting stuff back together
You can only buy water-based paints now unless you specify it's for either a classic car or a truck... On your price breakdown - never seen more honesty. You deserve every penny.
@@howardsportugal who enforces this? Is it like the creosote "ban" where it could still be purchased in industrial volumes? Or G-rated tungsten bulbs "not for home illumination"?
You guys are the only salvage repairers I'd buy a vehicle from, excellent skill and attention to detail. You bring em for sale sorted and repaired to perfection 👌
Speaking personally, I don’t mind seeing you skilfully doing things I’ve seen you do many times before. No apologies required, no editing - at least not on my account. Keep doing what you do!!
Turned out really nice, that colour really pops! Really looking forward to the GTR repair, poor Dean was really struggling to find someone to do the jig work, can’t wait to see Chris getting stuck in to the repair. 😊🛠💪🇬🇧🇯🇵
Hybrids do not have to make a noise, my Renault Austral is silent in EV mode. Fully electric cars have to make a noise. The range on the dashboard is how long before you need to fill up with petrol. They don’t have a specific EV range as it’s depends on driving style and how much regeneration you have wound up.
The availability of parts and the knock on effect with hire cars etc is probably a massive factor in the fact that so many cars are getting written off these days!
Good evening Rob and Chris, lovely result, excellent work from you both. The little Renault will make someone a great car. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged.
We had a guy in France in to do some work. When we come back everything he needed parts and tools was laid out neatly on a carpet. The work was first class.
It's now got a better paint job in the engine bay than factory! Hope the person that buys it uses it rather than straight onto Autotrader for a profit.
I'd forgotten when you started on that car as it had been so long since you first showed it . Great job as always guys . Lovely looking car and colour 👍
That’s a lovely little car right there guys nice color I think to! And what a great price for someone as well a brand new car with few hundred miles for that price awesome fellers!!.👍
New tool box do like chaps! For Christmas do you fancy doing a year review ? Highs / lows, best profit / least profitable ? Walk around the site to show how developments are going? A Q & A maybe ? Sorry don’t want much but it’s like your part of an extended family! Happy either way hope your both doing well
This is a lovely brand new Clio with no miles. It was worth the wait for the parts and with it being a new car there wouldn't have been many 'brand new secondhand' parts anyway. A great profit Gents and it makes up for the odd one where you didn't do so well, all part of business as you both know. Thanks Rob and Chris for the final video on this little Clio, great colour too. 👍👍
Great job again fellas the clio is looking very smart some one is going to get a nice motor 👍 take care and stay lucky and healthy looking forward to Wednesday's video 📹 already 😊❤
Parts on back order seems to be pretty common. My wife's Captur was hit by a taxi and nearly a month on the body shop are still waiting for parts to complete the repair
thats why a lot of new cars do get written off due to the amount of time to wait on parts plus hire car costs...sorry wrote this before rob said exact same thing..lol
Still got the just running in sticker for the window. What a smashing excuse the pun little car you nailed it and will continue to nail it Great to see and what content crack on
"Puff a bit of paint in" , "Moody plates" last week and of course the classic "Brand new second hand battery" its fascinating to learn all this trade jargon
This seems to be the sign of the times with hybrid cars🤷 Until everyone jumps on the Salvage cars like other RUclips bloggers and that’s when buying a hybrid car will not be financial!!! It’s been happening for the last 4 years since Mat Armstrong SRUK & others been on RUclips. But atleast this channel tells the truth and is 100% transparent 👍🙏🙏🙏
Top job guys and another cracking result. £14500 for what is essentially a new car, bargain. Almost tempted to try being fastest finger on this and buy it for my granddaughter who will soon be 17.
When you say the vid will be on left or right…..it never there 😂
@@RumpleXstillXskin Chris is counting money. Keep forgetting

Is it a running joke that I’ve missed, where Chris is meant to put the link up in the corner, but fails to 100% of the time 😂

@jamesbrett6518 yeah...silly legislation!

I wish I was as organised as Chris. I start with good intentions but, well, you know. 🤣
Good workshop practice👍
@ Yes, I have heard of that! 😇
I just love the attention to detail here: how many repairers simply wouldn't bother?
One minor insurance claim in 50 years of driving. This year my premium up 40% and it’s easy to see why. Brilliant work by the lads.
Speaking personally, I don’t mind seeing you skilfully doing things I’ve seen you do many times before. No apologies required, no editing - at least not on my account.
Keep doing what you do!!
Lovely job on the paint match.
14K...wow whoever buys that car wins the lottery. That is insanely cheap and it is basically brand new.
The attention to detail is fantastic and the sign of a pure craftsman at work and the joint team effort in the finished product well done❤
Turned out really nice, that colour really pops! Really looking forward to the GTR repair, poor Dean was really struggling to find someone to do the jig work, can’t wait to see Chris getting stuck in to the repair. 😊🛠💪🇬🇧🇯🇵
Amazing result, could've added a few thousand and still left enough for the next man. Lovely car.
And next the Gtr, loving the collaborations loving your work
Lovely car, tidy profit that very well deserved!

I witnessed this car getting collected by Rob and now its all put back together! Another banger, love the videos.
I can't wait to see you both start on that GTR. I've seen the vids on it from when Dean had it and wana see it back on road. Another great video!!!! 👍
I live in France and I have one of these cars, same colour to. Best car I’ve ever had. So economical and easy to drive.
Wow well done lads what an amazing profit and a cracking little discounted car for someone! Everyone's a winner. Really pleased for you both.
Quality at high level requires the organized way of working as Chris is proving.
Great attention to detail as usual chaps, painting the inner flitch, you wouldn't get that up in Alum Rock
😂😂
That car is looking great now. Paint work is lovely

What a car what a profit fully deserved
Got to remember it’s a cat S which 30% less value so £14k is bang on
I was guessing £15k. I think that's a really fair price, good work well done lads. 😊
We had a guy in France in to do some work. When we come back everything he needed parts and tools was laid out neatly on a carpet.

Chris always does a amazing job Great video Rob and Chris well done guys
Top work guys, and a great colour.
Fantastic result for you fellas, well deserved for all your hard work.
It's now got a better paint job in the engine bay than factory! Hope the person that buys it uses it rather than straight onto Autotrader for a profit.
Lovely jubbly rob and Chris, can we get a workshop tour again soon ? And all your personal projects if possible?

Another fine job Rob & Chris has done again. Keep up the great work you both do, I for one really appreciate it lads.
Even with the fancy office the boys are happy beside the fire in the garage 😂

A lovely little car, I am a Citroen/DS Automobiles nut like but I do like some of its French cousins offerings.
Excellent job both of you that's going to be a nice Christmas bonus well done guy's.
Chris' bolt tip is what I do with Ikea assembly - group all identical fixings together. Makes it so much easier
Great to see the car all done and what an awesome result. Good little Christmas bonus boys. Quality
Really enjoyed this series on the Renault Clio like you said it was a bit stop start but that doesn’t matter, well done boys 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Hello Chris & Rob , so well deserved for you both. Great result for you and the future customer!! Best wishes from Lincolnshire "Happy Christmas"!!
I never say this, but you've undersold this by a mile. Lowest I guessed was 17K. Lovely car btw

At that price that should fly off the shelf. Brilliant repair.
Still got the just running in sticker for the window. What a smashing excuse the pun little car you nailed it and will continue to nail it Great to see and what content crack on
Another good one lads, restored to factory condition... 👍♥️🇬🇧
Paint , might be very expensive ,, but its stands out in a row of cars ...goodness knows what it costs to do a whole car
"Puff a bit of paint in" , "Moody plates" last week and of course the classic "Brand new second hand battery" its fascinating to learn all this trade jargon
Great value for such a new, low mileage example. Always a gamble, but many would pay 16k I imagine at least, well done.
What a lovely job Guys factory finished
😮wow nice one boys 👏👏👏 well deserved again 👌👌👌
Incredible bargain and lovely colour
Great video, as always, boys. Looking forward to the GTR. Cheers and take care.
You lads deserve a winner or two, so well done with this one. Patience paid off!
Well done guy's a nice Christmas bonus. You both deserve it. The car looks amazing 👏 👍
Great work! Looking forward to the Nissan GTR !
Is it lurking under the blue tarp, ready on the frame machine???
@malcolm6951 I reckon 😀
Could do with few more like that. Brilliant.
Hello Rob and Chris, what a result,it's a nice looking car now,the price when you bought it was a bargain for a 24 reg.
This seems to be the sign of the times with hybrid cars🤷

Lovely little car fully loaded as standard now nice guys
Lovely sporty car for someone looks beautiful
A brilliant job well impressed
No wonder car insurance is going through the roof, writing a brand new car off for that?
Madness.
Brilliant as always gentlemen 👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Thanks Rob and Chris for this 👍👍👍 i'm lookin' forward to Dean's (Saving Salvage) GTR 👨🔧❤🔥
Maybe that is why you have Pain in Paint? Great work and attention to detail as usual 👍👍
Top job guys and another cracking result.

Check the insurance cost first. £2200 for my 18yrold daughters 1.2 polo. lol
@ Yeah insurance is crazy expensive for new 17yo drivers. Just need to suck it up and pay it 🤷♂️
