  • In this video we will be showing how to change the front speakers in a 1986 Toyota Pickup. In this truck we did not drill into the door and utilize the factory speaker input.

    Will the OEM stereo/receiver even be able to utilize/power the kicker speakers to make a noticeable difference?

    Black electrical tape should be outlawed. Solder & Heat Shrink or Quality Crimps (Not Wal-Mart crimping pliers & connectors). Swage type crimping pliers & connectors with heat shrink! Any job worth doing, is worth doing properly!!!

    Question... can those speaks fit inside of a 1988 Toyota Corolla??? If so please let me know

    • @BlazzinTech

      I would check crutch field website to see if this is what fits in your car! if they are 4" I'm sure these will work.

    By chance do you know if this is the same for a 1992 Toyota pickup?

    • @matthewstorm5188
      @matthewstorm5188 Год назад

      Not quite. Although the 1992 truck uses the same size speakers in the same location, they mount to the dash panel rather than the dash itself.
      One thing I should say is that, if upgrading speakers on a 1992 pickup, it is best to use speaker enclosures from a 4runner of the same generation. They bolt right in and GREATLY improve sound quality.

    this is such a pain for me, I'm going to have to remove my glovebox to get to my right side speaker. the left side speaker was easier. I'm going to have to play around with it and see the best routt.

    The brown interior is hideous.

    • @x2Dubz
      @x2Dubz 4 года назад +1

      I think that's actually the rarer Tan interior. 80s toyota interiors were just gross. My 85 is blue with blue interior and I know someone with an 88 4runner that's red with red interior. Both factory

      I actually like the brown interior. I had a Cream 1980 Corolla and the brown interior was a nice contrast.
