I'm using on the needed spots now, at first daily on whole face for 3 or so weeks. I'm not planning on re buying it either, Im thinking to try "mussely"(?) after the Cyspera tube is empty. Also, I'm using "Brightalive" by Zein Obagi to keep melasma under control, esthetician said its very helpful for maintenance and to keep it from re appearing, will see in few month, or in the Summer! Just started whole experiment in September 2020. I also did IPL, small brown spots are gone on cheeks, nose... my melasma mostly on forehead... I'm big on sunscreen!!! Hi Amy, thanks for the video showing us your result using Cyspera cream. Your skin looks great 👍🏻.
    May I know what is the color of the Cyspera cream? Is it the cream in white or skin tint color or transparent color?
    Is the cream oily cause I have got oily skin?
    So it is like a 15 min mask before washing it off? Is it easy to wash off?
    Thanks and hope to hear from you!

      Hi Akina. Cyspera cream is white and goes onto the skin like a cream. It does not have a typical mask feel to it, but it is washed off after 15 minutes. And it easily washes off with a gentle cleanser. The cream does not feel oily. I did not find any information about this product that indicates it is not recommended for oily skin. I hope this helps. If you’re black or a brown person, I wouldn’t recommend hydroquinone for people of darker skin tones because it’s the standard and it works but when you stop using it then the results will revert and pigmentation worsens. Tell me if you find any other products that helped your melasma though

    • @investinyourface
      @investinyourface  3 года назад +1

      @@Deandrax Research shows Hydroquinone up to 2% is safe for all skin types, including dark skin tones. Higher strengths can be more effective but pose possible greater risk of adverse effects in black skin as you stated. The best bet is to always consult with a dermatologist. The last thing anyone wants is to make melasma worse. For non-hydroquinone products check out a line by a skin pigmentation expert, Dr Wollery-Lloyd called Specific Beauty. @investinyourface  3 года назад +3

      Rita, thank you for your questions! 1. I am a big fan of SkinCeuticals. The formulations are based on research and address specific skin conditions including hyperpigmentation. I recommend Discoloration Defense. Check out their website for the ingredients and science behind it. 2. I do not have experience with Musely. But I have read about their online dermatologist service and the 4 formulations of their spot cream. Telemedicine is so common now and I do not have a problem with online dermatology care, but Musely hydroquinone concentrations are as high as 12%! I am hesitant to get behind high concentrations without oversight of an in-person dermatologist and even then, my personal maximum is 6%. Studies have shown, high concentrations of hydroquinone increase the risks of rebound hyperpigmentation. 3. Hydrafacial has been used to treat hyperpigmentation and dark spots. I cannot find any research to support its effectiveness on melasma. Like you, my concern would be the potential of making my melasma worse. Best bet is to consult a provider who performs Hydrafacials and who also has expertise in melasma. Hope this helps :)

    • @investinyourface

      The pigmentation of melasma patches can darken at anytime during or after any treatment from common triggers such as sun exposure and heat. Melasma is chronic and recurring. I’m about to start treatment with cyspera. I really thought that by now scientists, Drs etc would have found a way of completely curing this awful condition. They all say we are so advanced etc etc…. But I don’t know if I truly believe them as they are making billions from ppl who suffer from all sorts of things melasma is just one of the most expensive and time consuming on the list not to mention how it really hurts when something doesn’t work.😞😞😞😞

      Joan, I can't disagree. $169 for 1.75 oz. is costly. For me the product lasted for the initial 16 weeks of treatment then another approximate 8 weeks of maintenance. So breaking it down, about $28 per month, seems less painful. But the upfront cost...$$$. And with no guarantee of results. I hear what you're saying...
