Thx for the great tips! My #1 tip is do NOT spend time outside in the daytime!! But say at the beach, wear long sleeves, rashguards, total sunblock apply every 2 hours, huge hat, umbrella. I wear an SPF shirt and UV face visor when walking my dog daily! Fav UV visor is the Bluestone one
Thank you for your great tips as always! It would be great to have a tips also on how to deal with people looking at you in a weird way when you protect yourself from the sun the way we with melasma usually do, meaning face shields, sun umbrella and big hats. I am living in a sunny place and I like to play sports outdoors. It is challenging, but I don't want melasma to limit my life and my amusements. I use a face shield when playing volleyball or trying to play in the evening. Your skin looks gorgeous! Your efforts are paying off:)
Definitely don't let melasma limit your life. My efforts to protect my melasma from the sun may get a few strange looks, but I find that easier to deal with compared to seeing my melasma patches flare up
My tips are... I don't look at yourself first thing in the morning. For some reason if if I am discouraged, i put ss on first thing in the morning after brushing, then I put some concealer on.
Do you think the face shield from Amazon is legit upf 50+? Has it protected you from the Sun? I am a bit wary of buying it on Amazon because it’s a quarter of the price of the certified upf ones.
I first posted about this face shield visor in 2021. Shortly after, a doctor on IG tested this exact face shield with the use of a UV camera and showed the Waycom sun visor provides UV protection. (@beatuy_unplugged). So I feel comfortable not only using it, but also recommending it and providing the link. This is of course, not a substitute for sunscreen, but rather to use in conjunction, to improve protection

You have a very mild melasma condition it’s seamless. Thank you for the great tips!!
Thanks. My melasma has been well managed in recent years after I became serious and diligent about protecting my face from the sun

There are really cool umbrellas that can attach onto patio chairs. I'm unsure if they're upf certified though, but it's worth grabbing.
Great idea
Thank you for incredible video
