Kojic acid soap was the best thing for my Melasma since I first started using it 7 years ago. I still use it every 3 days while in the shower. Let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse off. Love it!

Just wow! Learned a bunch when I thought I knew quite a bit. And also was so fantastic to hear about the starting point story of the company.
Now is Jennifer's melasma suppressed on the forehead for example?
It would be so good if there was a powder form of the sunblock. I personally buy and mix powder zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to powder on, but would have loved to buy a clinically prepared formula instead.

Yes, Jen has the melasma on her forehead under control! Vitamin C, Fade Bright and Fusion daily in conjunction with peels of course. They do make some makeup/powder foundations that have an spf. However, usually it is a low spf of 15 ish.

The same treatments can be applied for PIH as you use with Melasma or any other hyperpigmentation. Melanin inhibitors like our Fade Bright 2x per day. Retinoids each evening such as Fusion A .15 and SPF 50 during the day. Other ingredients like Vitamin C can be brightening as well. A dermatologist can also prescribe some hydroquinone in a very high % for you for short term usage. Remember it is going to be a process... not a quick fix. Take photos so that you can SEE changes happening to keep yourself motivated. If your skin tolerates it well, chemical peels can also be used. Mandelic 40 is a milder, weekly peel that is very good for pigmentation. A stronger peel like Jessners can be done monthly to treat this as another option.
