EUCERIN is amazing, the tinted sunscreen is lovely and none of these are expensive.
I've been using the anti-pigment dual serum, as well as both the day and the night cream (for about 3 weeks now), and my melasma definitely faded significantly within the 1st week. I'm sorry this isn’t working for all melasma sufferers, melasma truly sucks! As for me, I am planning to continue using all 3 products, and hoping that the results will last and won't reverse like what happened to me after i tried hydroquinone.
Probably stuck with this regiment for life to keep suppressing melanin overproduction, but for now it's totally worth my money and effort
We are great full to your insight and truths … thank you …total trust in your knowledge 🙏🏾
🙏🙏
Amazing product I use this on my son’s face and arms , he suffers from tiny white spots. I had a client in my spa who was a dermatologist and I asked him what I could use and he said eucerin it’s helped massively 🙌🏻 x
yes it helps especially if you used it for about 3 months to a year.
Right up my alley. Very informative. I'd be interested to know your opinion on Dr.Shah ,Dr. Idriss products both came out with their own hyperpigmentation products. As well as Skin Better Science!
SkinBetter science isn't bad, I do use it for some patients from time to time. Not seen the other doctors' products that you mentioned but if they're white label then they're really nothing special at all and not even worth a second glance I'd say.
And thank you for the kind words ☺️
Another Banger!
🙏🙏
Great video as always Dr. I like your style of presentation - to the point and informative!
Dr, I have melasma and have been using hydroquinone along with tret and azelaic for the past one month. Seeing good results so far. My question is can i use Eucerin for pigmentation during the hydroquinone break period? Thanks in advance!
Absolutely 💯
@@Dr_Abs Thank you!
When searching for Eurcin, I found different types of Eurcin and ones that have alot of other ingredients in it as well, which I'm not a fan of. So, which kind of Eurcin are we to look for when treating hyperpigmentation? Eurcin Anti-pigment? Pls advise, TY!
After watching thia video I bought it. I started 4 weeks ago and can definitely notice an improvement on my melasma. Finally something that works on my skin. I am now wondering if I should keep using in all my face or just my darks spots.
Dr.Abs! What are your thoughts on mesoestetic® skin-care line ?❤️
Pretty average at best, for me
Hi docteur what do you think about dermatoller around eyes and eyelids for thin skin?
Can I use an AHA BHA toner before putting the the eucerin thiamidol night cream. The toner has 2% glycolic acid 2% salicylic acid, and ginseng.
This could be life changing for me. Thank youuuuuuu 😄😄🙌🏼🙌🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
Hello Doctor Abs what about Caudalie anti taches? products
Oh this is exciting! I'm definitely going to try this regimen you suggested, thank you! Would this also be a good thing to use for leftover acne marks? (pink/red ones) Or does it just work on melasma/sun spots?
Thank you 😊 I think Rosacea ideally needs diet intervention personally. But devices like LED can help a lot. I think dermalux led is more powerful than ipl for this actually. I'm not a fan of just handing out steroids and the like tbh.
Hey Doctor, could you please make a video on Sirolimus vis a vis Sunekos?
For maximal effects what would be the best approach with regard to Sunekos, Sirolimus and a potent retinoid ( Tret/ Tazar) ? Could these be used as a combination or is there a relative "one stop" or "fewer steps" solution that you could use to keep it simple and still get the maximum effects.
How could this be incorporated into the standard"Trifecta" - i.e Cleaner, Sunscreen with(out) moisturizer and Retinol/retinoid along with miscellaneous procedures like AHA peels and RF microneedling.
Could you make a template routine incorporating all these elements that we can customize based on our individual requirements ?
PS: I stumbled onto your content about a week ago...and AM GLAD I DID. Thanks for the detailed skin lecture on how Sunekos works , really good stuff. God bless. Lots of love
I started using Thiamodal 2 weeks ago - can it also be used with Alpha Arbutin?
I had a consultation with you yesterday. It was very thorough and informative. More affordable than I expected. I can’t wait to try my products.
Hydroquinon has negative effects on the liver and kidneys long term use. Does Thiamidol have any negative effects? I can’t find any but very mild in my search.
- I am from the state of Eminem and cars 😂.
Haha glad it helped Marissa! No side effects that I know of, no.
@@Dr_Absthank you
8 mile.
Thanks for the info! What therefore would you recommend as more budget options please? 😊
Eucerin is cheap enough to be honest. Any cheaper and the product isn't worth making.
@@Dr_Abs Will the dual serum alone work or do we need the day and night cream as well?
I have never heard anyone explain in such detail , very interesting thank you
Hydroquinone, Kojic Acid, Ascorbic acid work!
Dr Abs - how long can you use Thiamidol for?
And do you need to buy the serum, day cream and night cream.
Please will you let me know. Many thanks.
I think you should be okay with using it long term. If you buy the full set, I suspect you'd get a quicker result but I haven't tried it personally.
@@Dr_Abs Thank you for answering a question I just posted, I think you're saying that the dual serum alone will work fine without the other two creams.....Thank you so very much, once again. Your videos have helped me tremendously.🌹
What a pity that they added perfume. A bit ironic as they say side effects are mild contact dermatitis..
Hello Doc! I am using Retinal and cysteamine to fade my hyperpigmentation. It is working slowly and very subtly. Would you recommend adding this product to my routine? Thank you 😊
Cysteamine is useless. Been using for months with no effect. Too expensive and yet useless.
Dr. in your videos there are 4 solutions for hyperpigmentation 1. Vitamin c 2. The obagi set 3. Hydroquinone 4. The eucerin products - and I want to ask please which of them making the best result and maybe I can mix some of them together? Thanks you very
Good question, it does depend on each patient but I'd say probably hydroquinone and Eucerin seem to be the strongest at the moment. Both have very different prices so they suit different budgets. I probably wouldn't mix them together, personally.
Is Thiamidol more effective than Monobenzone? MB is a tyrosinase inhibitor that also apparently induces apoptosis of melanocytes, but it doesn't seem to be readily available anymore.
I suspect it is
Any Eucerin?
How about for retinol-induced hypo-pigmentation (skin lightening)?
Gosh I can't find the name of the product. Thank you for your videos thanks! ❤
Also is it ok to use with rosacea or other pink skin rashes? Thanks again!
Eucerin is the company and Thiamidol is the ingredient.
I think it would depend on the cause of those things. Potentially need to treat the rosacea first but can't tell without a consultation unfortunately.
@@Dr_Abs yes thanks. I don't think have rosacea because my pink rash is all over my body. We have several Eurcein products here. So I was wondering the exact product you were referring to. But maybe all of the products have this ingredient? Thanks again❤️
Oh I see, if you go to the Eucerin website, you can click on thiamidol and it'll show you all the anti-pigment products that have the ingredient in :)
@@Dr_Abs THANKS for your time! ❤️
Ive heard that nitruos oxided removes darl spots.
What would be the best choice to lighten buttocks, glycolic acid toner or aha 30% bha 2% peeling solution?
Toner
My wife has dark pigmentation spots, she has been using Good Molecules discoloration correcting serum and has had great results, it is relatively cheap
Thank you for the info. Does you wife have melasma, or just hyper pigmentation? I wanted to make sure before buying the products. Thank you.
@@wendytsui0 She hasn’t been formally diagnosed, she has dark Asian skin and dark spots, which look like melasma to me. the dark spots have definitely faded, some gone completely in just 2 weeks. She has very sensitive skin, typically breaks out with any acids etc, she has had no reactions with this product.
@@Rawprawned Many thanks. Maybe I will try it since it's very cheap. Thanks again.
I used the Good Molecules product also. My dark spot did fade after using the bottle up, but now has come back. Fyi, I am light skinned.
@@janeta3509 Thanks very much for your info.
I bought this because you recommended it under a previous comment I made. I have melasma and post acne marks, so I am giving it 3 months to see results.
Please come back and tell us your results!
@Jettypilelegs I intend to. I made photos of my before so I want to give it 3 months, as they say in 12 weeks you can see its true effects.
Id love to hear too!
@@Dr_Abs Oh, absolutely. Thank you again for the recommendation.
@Dr_Abs So I started using this Eucerin Thiamodol treatment on April 16th, and I stopped using it last night, May 9th. I now have lighter patches (hypopigmentation) around my upper lip and chin. I will go back to my old routine of using a cocktail of tyrosinase inhibitors (glycolic acid toner, Niacinimide, alpha arbutin, azelaic acid and retinal), as thiamidol may not be agreeable for my face. I will, however, continue the product on my knees to see what the effects are.
I used the Eucerin product for long (6months) and had absolutely 0 improvement on my melasma. I tried so many products and acids and the only thing that really works for me is hydroquinone.
Which product did you use? I am using the dual serum plus both, the day and night cream, and this is definitely working for me! My melasma isn't gone, but faded significantly. I am about 3 weeks in
Yes that one and everything else that exists outside of hydroquinone and nothing worked. Hydroquinone and tretinoin used to be my only solution but now even this treatment is not showing the same results, so now I am starting cysphera.
Hello Dr. Abs, Are there any recommendation for AT-HOME COLLAGEN STIMULATION product /Device ? 🙏❤️
Dermaroller from Amazon, needle length depends on the skin
@@Dr_Abs dermaroller OR micro stamping which is better doctor?
I prefer rolling but there's room for both if needed. The technique is more important than the device.
@@Dr_AbsThank you doctor❤
Can you use the vit c before the tret/hydroquinone concoction. Also can the eucerin moisturizer be layered after?
Another question, do you recommend the sandwich method (moisturizer, tret, moisturizer) when acclimating to tret?
Depends on the patient, sometimes yes. But also there's only so much that can fit through the pores - too many layers and you're not absorbing stuff.
I’ve been taking msm and organic horsetail … internally.. when I tell you MY SKIN is literally glowing like insane … have u dealt with these supplements
I have. But I wouldn't class them as essential nutrients, personally. Glad you've done well with them though.
I hv pigmentation a small amount on both cheeks.. Plz do let me know what to do
Does this work on sun spots??
Dear doctor do you have hydroquinone cream pourcentage to advise?
4%
I have many spots on my face, some are flat and some are bumpy, not sure if they are all moles or if some are sun spots. I use sun protection and retinal, but do you think this product can help with them? :/
Also, greetings from germany. :)
Naturlich!
Hehe, danke! :)
Which of the eucerin products do we use for the face
There's quite a few options. There's day cream, night cream and also dual action serum at the very least off the top of my head
Hi Dr. What do we here in India use ? Have horrible pigmentation.noghing makes it better.please Help.
Can try what's in the video
This ingredient seems game changing. I’m planning to tackle the hyperpigmentation on my body from my young days (when I wasn’t as much of a sun screen fan). Was planning to order hydroquinone mixed with .025 Tret this week, now thinking about adding thiamidol to the mix- do you think these products can all be used together?
Probs better to mix thia with tret I think. But do check with the manufacturer if there's any contraindications to mixing the thia with other things to stay safe
@@Dr_Absthank you!
Can you put some light in your videos please
De how about Tri luna uSA
Dr....ive just used Transexamic face serum by minimalist in India' but my skin became darker .pl help .
Use Tyrodin instead, it has 10 % T-Acid
I have tried multiple products and nothing has completely cleared my Malasma/hyperpigmentation. I have tried Eucerin, Mosley, the spot treatment, Tretonion, the ordinary etc and I still have spots on my face that seem to not disappear. Please help! What would you recommend
It's not about a single product that clears everything. It's about a complete package - this product could be one part of that. Sun protection, skin/gut microbiome etc are all important too. Diet is probably the single biggest factor but also too big to go into a comment.
@@Dr_Abswhich product would that be, are you referring to hydroquinone?
fadeup tough skin condition so called melasma
What’s the best way to get hold of Tretanoin please? I can’t seem to find a reliable dermatologist in my area.
By the way I love your videos!
Thank you ☺️ Id be happy to prescribe it in a virtual consultation using the link in the description if that helps.
@@Dr_Abs apologies as I should have thanked you for your response! :) ok I will book a consultation:)
Used this and it did nothing to my melasma. Hydroquinone still maintains its place, down side is the hyperpigmentation comes back.
Very interesting! I wonder how many are in the same situation as you
how many months you used it?
Yes, the tyrosinase inhibition by hydroquinone is temporary. This is well known.
Do you have to cycle off of this after a few months like hydraquinone?
Nope, can carry on if still needed
I used for 6 months did nothing. Thenbtried it again, still did nothing
I have dark spots Don't know how I got it.

Interesting...
Can it be used along with azelaic acid?
I think so, but double check with the company as it's a very novel ingredient
I started using it along with azelaic. Let’s me how it works. Azelaic was initiallly prescribed by my dermatologist.
Dr Abs - can I still apply a vitamin C serum before applying Thiamidol serum and Thiamidol day cream? Please advise.
Theoretically yes, but then you get less penetration of thiamidol
@@Dr_Abs Thank you so much for your reply. Much appreciated.
Thiamidol did nothing for me. Hydroquinone 4% works best!
I finished 4 bottles of that Eucerin serum and they did nothing to my melasma unfortunately.
Interesting! I wonder what combo u did it with and whether it was supervised by someone like myself
Euricen is worst formulation waste of money I used for 1yrs nothing changed..
But still dermatologists suggested it...
@@pinkymartis7456if it isn't working for you, doesn't necessarily mean that the product is bad or something is wrong with the formulation. It has worked for me. I guess, different bodies react to the same ingredient differently
@@Dr_Abs I use it only in the morning as a first step, then sunscreen.
IPL is quite effective.
Would you know if Thiamidol products causes rebound hyperpigmentation when you stop using them. Hydroquinone is known for doing that.
Rebound isn't because of the product, it's because the cause hasn't been removed
@@Dr_Abs Having watched a few videos on removing hyperpigmentation, it seems the rebound effect is due to melanocytes being angered. Not because the cause has not been removed. So I guess my question is whether this rebound can also occur with Thiamidol.
What causes the angering though? There's a cause for that too independent of the ingredient used
Is Kojic acid safe and effective to use for Melasma? Have seen some bad outcomes on YT- was stated "they failed to use it properly."
Potentially, yes. But it's not the ingredient - it's the ingredient for that person at that time in that way of using it. It's impossible to get personalised advice from a comment and no consultation unfortunately, sorry
@Dr_Abs
Ok thanks!
My face is darker than my neck
Is that from using Thiamidol?
@@user-ek5cr1en1f no

Thank you 🫶 I’ve been using hydroquinone 4% and retinol, didn’t see a big shift, but I added in the thiamidol and suddenly the 3 together worked fast, I saw it working. The hydroquinone though was making my skin sore, so now I just use the thiamidol and retinol at night. (but the night one) I use the serum day, and spf during the day. 🫶
