63 Houston, TX. I was fortunate enough to have seen Dire Straits Live when they were at their peak. Most AMAZING Concert I've EVER seen in my entire life.

Mark Knopfler wrote this about a busker (street musician) he would meet in the subway in London. Johnny was always going to make it big, ever the optimist despite the set backs and violence hence the line "Do the song about the knife". M.K. has written over 300 songs. He is a master songwriter and musician. Don't know what happened to Johnny. Hope you do more Dire Straits Rainey, there's loads more great stuff from them out there.

Who told you that? The character Johnny is fictional.

Hey love your reaction guys. Great channel. I recommend the song Calling Elvis from DIRE STRAITS-Live "On The Night" 1993. Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler, the lead guitarist as a solo artist has sold over 120 million albums. Dire Straits are well loved throughout their career and have so many iconic songs. Cheers guys all the best from Australia 🙂🎸🎸🎸

The great super-energy dude in the bare feet is Jack Sonni . We lost him at age 68 this year.
Broke my heart 💔Today would have been his 69th birthday.

I saw them in Montreal when I was 8 years old about a week after the iconic Wembley show. Jack Sonni had a good run. Could have lived longer, but there's no doubting he lived well--and I'm not talking about money!

😂 I'm so old (59) that I forgot this was used for ABC Sports Bloopers! 😳 What's even scarier 🤣 I remember seeing a lot of actually happen in realtime. These Bloopers were from World Series, Super Bowls, Finals, etc. 🤣 I'm so old I remember when Soccer wasn't popular. 😉 Notice no Soccer Bloopers from any World Cups. 🥰🐰

For a performance that really gets the crowd involved you have to listen to "Queen's set at live aid". Freddy Mercury had the crowd in the palm of his hand! Best 26 minutes of music ever done on stage.

64 years young. You have to go through a lot of ups and downs before you can become successful. Walk of life, baby!

This is why I stopped listening to music reviews…young people stopping performances and adding comment that they think is so relevant instead of listening to great musicians playing what now are classic memories!!! Hey kids…it ain’t all about YOU!!! Try some respect for quality performances and give the totally talented and gifted musicians some appreciation and hear the total tune before adding your dribble! Try enjoying the tunes…some of these music videos were just lame…even in their time!!!

@@caoilte8097I enjoy watching young people listening and becoming aware of great music and musicians…but you don’t review a book after having read it half way through…or review a movie by watching the 1st half…there are those reviewers who understand you critique the whole rather than the half…apparently these guys don’t get it…guess you don’t either
