This is absolutely incredible news. I was hoping the crime dog got in eventually! Dude was a MONSTER in the 90s and did it with that classic 70s power hitter body. Definitely no PEDs! Congrats
Fred! A great player on some of the great Braves teams of the Nineties. A great guy and a gentleman. Congratulations. Edit: He was a perfect cleanup hitter for the Braves.
Don’t know you never watch a baseball game I am Fromm Trinidad’ and Tobago but just happen to be scrolling through what a humble gentleman wish there could be more of you in sporting activities god bless you
Couldn’t happen to a nicer dude. Congratulations Fred. Love the charismatic attitude. Still a kid at heart. Not just the “Crime Dog”. Also known as the “Fire Dog” because of that first night in Atlanta.
Thatta boy Freddie! Look at that smile He’s so proud to be elected And as a Jays fan I’m proud he got in Wonderful player Consistent, hard worker and a great guy
@@brianconnelly1238 Guessing your an 80s baby too, huh? Them Giants ain't making life very easy on yous this season. I know we're division rivals but I'm actually starting to feel bad for new yorks fan base-- football and baseball. Yous can't catch a break! Every one of your teams is stinking it up! Should've never gave Daniel Jones that huge contract bro. He's not the guy!
I don't think Fred gets his due respect. 493 HR. 10 years of 30 or more. Played in the steroid era and was never suspected or accused of using PED's. He should have been in long ago.
Fred McGriff has and always will be a favorite. I miss that era of baseball and still have Crime Dawg's rookie cards, just looking at them bring backs a flood of good memories. Class act, great speech, and well deserved HoF induction.
I was born in atlanta the year the braves came to atlanta..1966..i remember watching hank Aaron as a kid..But my favorite braves player will always be fred mcgriff..He didnt show boat or dance around when he hit a homerun fred was all about buisness and his buisness was helping the Atlanta braves win a world championship in 1995..Thank you fred for the great memories in Atlanta and all of your career .God bless you..🏆
I played with Fred. Always a gentleman. Always a friend. Probably one if the nicest guys I ever met. THIS is the kind of man kids can aspire to be like.
Somewhere right now, Barry Bonds in crying in a corner. He celebrated too early in 1993..moking the braves saying they wouldn't catch them. Then the crime dog joined the team and they did indeed catch them. Now Fred is in the Hall of Fame and Barry is not. That's GOT to be damaging his ego right now.
Well deserved and long overdue. But I'm thinking if he had played 1 more season and hit 7 more home runs he would have been in on the first or second ballot. Not that it matters now.
493 home runs (without steroids), I would say is more than just pretty good. If it wasn't for a strike season in 1994-1995 he would probably have had 500 home runs, and been in the hall of fame years ago.
Such a great man, human, and representative for MLB - LONG OVER DUE
Isn’t it nice to see a truly good guy up there?
not 2 mention Fred looks like he's only 40 years old even though he's 60.
He's FINALLY in and I couldn't be happier for him!
Loved Griff and the Braves back in the 90s
Fred McGriff was one of my First Favorite Baseball Players, he was one of the reasons I became a Atlanta Braves Fan.
I feel you on that one. That 1995 squad was loaded, especially on the mound!
Was at Crime Dog's first game with the Braves. The stadium caught fire.
Wow he got cut in High School. Awesome he kept working to get better. Congratulations Crime Dog
Hats off to the “Crime Dog”! Well deserved. Thank you for the memories in Atlanta!
What a fantastic human being. Congrats, Fred!!
This is absolutely incredible news. I was hoping the crime dog got in eventually! Dude was a MONSTER in the 90s and did it with that classic 70s power hitter body. Definitely no PEDs! Congrats
Congrats Crimedog you are now an official baseball legend well deserved
Thank you Fed for some great years especially for the Braves. You deserve it Fred!
Jordan was cut from his HS team and So was Fred True Greatness in never giving up and improving yourself
Loved watching this guy with the Braves in the 90s. Great player. Greater person. This was long overdue.
Thank you Mr McGriff for all the professionalism and class to the game.
Fred! A great player on some of the great Braves teams of the Nineties. A great guy and a gentleman.
Congratulations.

Darn tootin! Once upon a time, there was a fire. And the rest is history.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer dude. Congratulations Fred. Love the charismatic attitude. Still a kid at heart. Not just the “Crime Dog”. Also known as the “Fire Dog” because of that first night in Atlanta.
GOAT, Love Freddie McGriff, Thank You Legend for all the memories, Truly Deserved it

Very happy for you, Fred. This is where you belong. Congratulations. Great speech.
The Crime Dog! The man could hit, no matter which uniform he was wearing.
As a kid, even as a Phillies fan, I valued my Fred McGriff cards like I did my Jordan cards and special editions. Way to go Fred! Woo hoo!
I did too my man

A gentleman and a fair player. humility springs from all sides.

Strike stole those 7 homers.

Couldn’t have happened to a better soul! Congratulations Crime Dog!

Awesome speech, Fred. You are a true gentleman and great player. A true hall of famer!
Congrats brother! I’m so thrilled you’re in the Hall. Followed your career since your debut. 🎉
Great speech, by a great ball player, more importantly, a great speech by a great man
I'm happy for him. He deserves it. It was great watching him play against the yanks back in the day. Congrats, Fred McGriff HOF
Whooooo!!!!!!!! The Dawg is in the house!!! Congrats Big Dawg!!! Go Braves!!!!!!!
What a great player. Well-earned place in baseball immortality!!
The crime dog epitomized consistency. When he got ahold of one it went a country mile! Well deserved induction into the hall of fame.

It is hard not to tear up knowing his journey. I am so happy for him and his family.
Congrats crime dog, you’ll forever be one of my favs! Loved you in the ATL, and that follow through, none like it.
I’m a lifelong A’s fan. I remember my cheeks clinching when we had to face him 😂. Long overdue. Congrats to the Crime Dog 👍
Congrats Fred. A true professional and great player.
I had the pleasure of caddying for him great golfer and an even better person. Much love Crime Dog !
I remember watching him when I was a kid play for my Dodgers (2003). Dang it’s been 20 years since he retired. Time flies.
Un orgullo para los fanáticos de los Leones del Escogido en la pelota de invierno Dominicana donde también bateó. Viva Fred McGriff.
Y tambiém para los Caimanes del Sur
I played with Fred. Always a gentleman. Always a friend. Probably one if the nicest guys I ever met. THIS is the kind of man kids can aspire to be like.
No ya didnt
As a young teenager, I used to always emulate his follow-through swing playing baseball (with a tennis ball) on the street. He had a super cool swing.
Dude I loved his helicopter swing
The Crime dog .True professional.Absolutely crushed the ball .
Merecido Fred . Dios te bendiga
Recuerdo 1995 Atlanta campeón de MLB🇵🇦
Class Personified!
Merecido!!!
Long over due. He was just so consistent for so long. Hated him playing my Reds, but man was he fun to watch.
Beautiful Swing Sir You Were Wonderful To Watch .
Congratulations!! How about we induct Albert Belle in the HOF soon.
About time McGriff got inducted. Took long enough. McGriff is the player that got me into baseball when I was a wee lad of 8
Crime Dog!
Atlanta legend
Beautiful.
Fred was one of my hero's he played the game correctly shouldn't have taken this long!!
What a class act.
ABOUT DAMN TIME
Congratulations🎉
Crime Dog McGriff
⚾️ 🏟 💪
Long overdue, McGriff is IN!!!
So happy for the Crime Dog!
The GREATEST....
Dude had the name of a home run hitter
Part of the great mid 90's Atl lineup.
Crime Dog 👏👏
What channel was this on? I didn’t see this today?!!!!
Its a damn shame it took the committee this long to vote him in.
W mlb go Los Angeles
congrats to the crime dog for his hof induction
Long overdue !!!
Congrats

McGriff should have been a HOF a looooong time ago! Better late than never.
Tom Emanski must be so proud. 😂😂
Now that's getting RESULTS
Way Overdue!
Stubborn old Goose Gossage just won't let go of that big ol' thick handlebar mustache! 😂
Finally MLB got it right
He should have used the Tom Emanski Baseball World cap for his plaque.
He probably should've had a Devil Rays hat on the plaque
I wonder if anyone has asked him what it felt like to get rung up by Eric Gregg in game 5 of the 1997 NLCS.
Can u do Astros Vs Athletics
CRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME DOGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!
Well deserved and long overdue. But I'm thinking if he had played 1 more season and hit 7 more home runs he would have been in on the first or second ballot. Not that it matters now.
I'm sure it means even more that he was voted in unanimously by former players after the writers failed to elect him.
❤
100% FIRST CLASS
Took them long enough
The Hall of Pretty Good!

“pretty good” players don’t hit 493 home runs and hit .300 in the postseason. he should’ve been in Cooperstown a long time ago
@@MondayTage 50 playoff games is WAY too small a sample size for a mere .300 average to be considered good
