Just a quick note, you need at least level 2 Charge speed skill for elemental hammer otherwise you are missing a lot of damage from the second swing of your combo.
Hammer isnt as bad as some people think it is. Its super fun and has damage, more people should join the bonk gang! Amazing Builds Noc!
Indeed! Hammer has gotten an absolutely wild upgrade with Element over the past 3 updates. The DPS is over 40% higher than before TU1 wich is pretty crazy.

What's crazy is anyone complaining about any weapon, they are all miles faster on kill times than they were in Iceborne, with way more movement than any other entry 😂

Thank you for your builds. I have a question about my strength hammer build, what would you recommend between impact crater and impact burst?, if I always use keeping sway.

I generaly recommend going with Impact Crater on Strength Hammer Builds.
But if you're using a Build without Mail of Hellfire for the extra 35 ATK on Red Scroll, you can also run both Impact Crater & Burst. Since switching Scrolls wont have you loosing ATK in that case.
@8:20 another ways is when u have a friend who solely uses the Malzeno Hunting Horn for pretty much infinite purple with the sharpness extension and regen it has on it. I was able to drop master's touch, handicraft, and razor sharp out of my builds for when I'm playing with him. Letting me focus on even more dmg skills, granted ik not everyone has a HH main as a friend to constantly play duos with but if you do, you can make the builds so much nastier then they already are here in ur vid 😊
Also p.s. I do love ur vids cuz they helped me see what I needed in order to start optimizing my hammer builds since I didn't start using hammer til after I was MR200 lol.
Indeed ^_^ Having a HH user with one of the Sharpness melodies can free up alot of room in a Build and add to it in other ways 👌🏽

@YokaiNox I honestly hope that we get a blend of world and rise mechanics wise. Like worlds clutch claw with the part softening mixed with the wire bugs for movement and being able to wall run on anything not just vines and the switch skills.
And as far as decos go I REALLY hope we keep the crafting system for them and don't go back to RNJesus cuz it took me til MR85 HR450 on world to get a single atk deco, I honestly hated that so bad lol. But on rise since releasing for xbox I'm now at MR120 HR360 and I have not hated a single moment of any part of the game (obviously worlds maps are far superior but comparing world to what was originally a Switch game is redundant).

Though i personally wasnt a fan of the softening up via Clutch Claw.. Since it was essentialy just an extra step before dealing damage, that was a given up untill that point. But the Clutch Claw definitely had some cool aspects about it !

Hey! sick guide. Quick question for second buid : would like to take the path towards this one, but im kind of struggling with the real hard bosses. So seeing id have to farm primordial / shagaru.. not happening. Any recommendation for a budget set, that is around master rank 30~ ish?

For Element Hammer you 100% want to have purple Sharpness due to the damage multiplier! Purple increases Elemental damage by 10% more than White, wich is a massive buff at very low cost.
For Raw Damage/Status Builds having White Sharpness is fine.

You best alternative Helmet untill then will be either the Lunagaron or regulat Teo Helm, based on wich has the more benefitial Slotage for you personaly right now.
The waist is gonna be a bit tricky, because the Virtue (Risen Shagaru) Coil is insanely valuable. Best replacements for now would be either Rathalos or Anjanath. Those have very different Skills though, so you'll have to adjust things a bit.

Lance Builds are still holding up very well, because not much has changed for that Weapon type. But there's a very high chance that there will be another Lance Build Video for Endgame aswell.

Hey Nox, love your builds. One question, is mail of hellfire critical? I do not have expert jewel 4 unlocked yet and was thinking of replacing the talisman with it. And augmenting for mail of hellfire is sooooo hard based on experience.
Hey there 🖐🏽No worries, the Mail of Hellfire is just icing on the cake for the most part. As mentioned in the Video you can absolutely just use a Crit Eye Talisman or something of similar value & then try to go for MoH via Augments later down the road as you go.
The Builds will function just fine without it 👍🏽
The one thing to keep i mind, is that it will be more important for the Element Build, since a 20% boost to Element is very high due to the all of Hammer's high base Elemental values.

Ey bro i got one question. Im making the last hammer build and i got buildup boost on the virtu coil. I noticed that primordial greaves already have critical boost.
Im looking for critical boost on the greaves but i have not got anything yet. Is it possible to get critical boost on the greaves or not?
You can get it on literally any piece. Doesnt matter what it is.

@@YokaiNox I've made all the builds and I'm wondering if I could remove dereliction since the builds already have frenzied bloodlust as a draining health skill and have it still work?
@@JiffyJames06 The one that drains Health is the regular Bloodlust. Frenzied Bloodlust gives an extra Wirebug. You can remove both of those on the Element Build if you like.
But sadly Dereliction absolutely has to stay!
Because Bloodlust only drains your health untill you land a certain amount of hits and then is deactived for 1 minute. Loosing Dereliction will drastically lower the overall DPS because Strife will be active far less as a result.

Thanks to you, I made my own similar, I call it star killer build but the only thing I can't get is the talisman for mail of hellfire. There's the regular hellfire cloak but no mail of hellfire. Can I unlock it or is it only for the armor?

Mail of Hellfire can only be found on Talismans with the Vigor Melding (It's RNG. The Skill cant be selected, so it will take a bit of luck). But with Augmenting you can get it on any Armor Piece aswell though 👍🏽

is a handicraft lvl 4, critical bost lv 1 with a level 3 and level 2 slot talisman good enough to use the narga option for raw damage xD ?
It is 😄You'll ofc have to adjust some of the skills/decos acordingly though.
Awesome looking builds man! But I kinda hate Dereliction lol... any leg recommendations to replace that on the elemental build?
You can in theory just run the R.Valstrax Legs as a good overall option. But it will noticably lower your overall DPS since Strife requires Red Health to be active consistantly (Bloodlust doesnt realy do enough for it over the course of a hunt).
As an alternative you can run:
3 Piece Primordial Malzeno + R.Kaiser Helm & ScoMa/R.Shaggy Waist.
Core skill setup would be the same (minus Strife & Dere).
[Aim for Mail of Hellfire, Charge Master, Element Exploit, Crit Element & max Affinty + Critboost.]

Can you play courage style hammer on build 2? If does did focus still a good skill or had to replace it?
You absolutely can if you want to👍🏽(But courage realy shines with Element)
Focus wont make alot of since then, so you can remove it.

You can use Element Hammer with Strength playstyle aswell, but it will definitely do less damage than Courage + Element Hammer.
(The fast charging in Courage Style is super effektiv with the Charge Master Skill for Element Hammer.)

@@xsh0ked9 That's definitely a solid Build to use untill you can use some of the newer Armor Parts. There is 1 Armor Part you can get already that will greatly improve the Build you're using right now. The Silver Rathalos Chest! It has Element Exploit Lv 1, wich is the sweet Spot for the Skill and will give you 10% extra elemental Damage when attacking weakspots. + It has 1 Lv of Crit.Element & the Slots are 4-3-1, wich is incredible! (It also has Fire Attack Lv 3 as a free bonus) It's gonna be one of the best Armor Parts for any elemental Build you can make right now.

4 months late, but you can just do anomaly investigations to get risen shagaru lol. At first i had this thought too, but then i just did anomalies, which just unlocked shagaru for me after a day.
Raw is the way.
Wouldn't "wirebug whisperer" improve the damage of "Impact Crater" silkbind attack as it increases the recovery rate of wirebugs, allowing you to use it more often, plus the bonus of keeping the third wirebug around for longer?
On paper it definitely sounds like Wirebug Whisperer Lv 3 would be great for Raw Hammer, especially with extra Wirebugs. But Sunbreak's Endgame changed that quite a bit. Monsters are to fast and move too much, to actually get enough value out of Skills that make Impact Crater usable more often. It's an Attack eant for large Opening only now & the Hammer also has other combos that deal the same, or even more Damage in the same time. Impact Crater also leaves you pretty open afterwards, wich can become a real problem once you get past Anomaly Lv 250.
I personally still love using the Attack, and do so quite often. But mathematically & practically it's not a move that should be prioritized, or be the "go to" Attack of the Hammers Moveset.
@@YokaiNox I see. Wish Impact Crater was a bit faster. Just a jump high in the air, maybe 1 forward spin for inertia & then immediately down while in that spin. Gravity, hammer weight & inertia from spin creating the sense of weight/impact behind the attack. Spin pretty much ends with a slam on the ground.
@@LumenPsycho Exactly. If it wa 15-20% faster, the Skill would see alot more use in Endgame runs.

After that one the next stop would be this:
- Lunagaron Helm
- Ingot Chest X
- Anjanath Arms /HR Valstrax Arms
- Anjanath Helm
- Ingot Legs X
And after that you can jump into the 2 Hammer Build Videos for Sunbreak on the Channel (This one here & the previous one).
As far as Raw Damage Hammer goes, Strength is just the better option for it.
If you watch the Sunbreak Hammer Build Videos, there are some explanations as to why that is.
It's mainly comes down to Skills, Attack speed & Switch Skills that just apply diffrently to Strength & Courage Style.

I played World/Iceborne hammer a lot, which is basically just strength style, so when I unlocked courage in base rise, I only used it, cuz it was something new and fresh, and got used to the fast charge/combo style of it. But I'm usually not one to look up monster specific element weakness and try to build for those, so I was just doing all that with a basic raw damage bone tree hammer lol
IIRC, in world, most monsters were weak to dragon element, so it was pretty safe to just make a dragon element build and use it for general hunts. Is that the case for rise/sunbreak too? Or did I just hallucinate this fact lmao
@@homertex7353 While Dragon is still a very common weakness for most Wyvern Type Monsters, elemental weakneses are becoming alot more spread out now. In theory you can still do it, but running a Dragon Element Build on everything is going to seriously limit your damage potential now!
You can definitely run a Raw Build with Courage Style if you enjoy the playstyle! You'll be leaving some damage on the table, but at the end of the day, you're winning if you're having fun! 😊 Do whatever feels good! 👌🏽

I guess there's no harm in making 2 builds, one for raw and one for general elemental use.
But that's something future me can worry about, when I'm actually in the stage of the game where I can actually make more optimal builds ✌️
For the raw build how are you getting the +20 sharpness & still getting all that atk ?
When you unlock new Augment Slots melee weapons get extra sharpness by default. So you basically get extra sharpness for free, just by adding the Slots.
new player here. yeah I know both build are nice and fun but which one do more damage? the raw one or the element one? assuming I am fighting a dragon type monster and using dragon element hammer vs raw hammer with both of your build?
That is way too "general" of a question. It will always come down to the exact weaknesses & hitzones of the Monster and how well you can utilize the different playstyles (Courage & Strength style). You can deal about the same damage with both Builds overall, so you can pick wichever style you prefer playing. So the real question will be: wich style are you better with right now ?

Hey 🖐🏽The more important of those 2 Skills is Critical Eye. So for now you can use the regular Expert 2 Decos to get your Affinity as high as possible.

@@furbixou774 No problem at all. Yup, they are better than previous Builds. These are the 2 strongest Builds you can make for Hammer in Sunbreak. (The only thing more powerfull would be using the Heroics Skill aswell, but that is usualy only used for speedruns, since you will be down to 30% Health the entire time.)

Nope, no mods ^_^ I also show another Talisman that you can use insted of it right at the start of the Video 😄You might have missed it.
Mutiple different Talismans will work here. The one i recommendet in the Video was a Critical Eye Lv 3 [Slots: 2-2-2]. You can use the Cyclus Melding Method to farm that one easily. You'll have to get Mail of Hellfire with Augments then though.

@@goldentyrant4822 All of the "unique" Skills like Frostcraft, Builup Boost, Mail of Hellfire, Dereliction, Wind Mantle etc, can be found on Talismans since TU5 by using the Vigor Melding (They cant drop in any other melding method).
The only Skills that do not exist on Talismans now are Heaven-Sent & Blood Awakening.

@@YokaiNox ok one last question so one thing I’m not a fan of is health draining skills (dereliction and bloodlust). Are there any safer versions of these builds or would I just drop one of the life draining skills via augmentation?
@@goldentyrant4822 That's is gonna be difficult because Strife is one of the essential Skills here (it gives you +10-20% Element depending on the Lv). And Strife relies on you having red health (any amount). That's why the Build has health drain Skills, to make Strife active 100% of the time.
But no worries, I can give you a different alternative 👍🏽 2 Questions for it though.
- You still want an Element Hammer Build ?
- You want 0 Health Drain, or do you mind if it just has Bloodlust ?
I've been using a dragon conversion nuclear synergy build
Dragon conversion lvl3, strife lvl3, furious lvl3, dereliction lvl2, blood awakening lvl1, bloodrite lvl1, partbreaker lvl3, Bloodlust lvl1
My element that was the greatest was 336 so far.

Is strength hammer still relevant after TU3? asking because the PS5 just got caught up and never done elemental hammer
Definitely is 👍🏽Build 2 is for Raw/Status Strength Hammer. Overall Courage elemental Hammer is slightly ahead, but Strength keeps up pretty well.
I got about all the elements weapons. Just got to get the right augments and weapon augments. Dama rng. The elements builds including the raw damage build will kill monster under 10 minutes id you skilled enough.

@@Leviathan1000 Any Status Hammer can be used with the Raw/Status Build in the Video. Specifically making a Build to inflict Status ailments with Hammer sadly isnt realy worth it in endgame.. The only one that performs kinda decently is the "Dreamy Bear". I'm personally realy hoping to see some stronger paralysis Hammers in MH Wilds cause it's a great status to have on Hammer.

How do you add master's touch in the upgraded versión?
By using the Slot upgrades after Augmenting. You can check the Augment section of the Video to see my upgrades from Augmenting.

You will easily have enough room to fit it into the Build once you augment it.

Does the Elemental Hammer build work with status elements like Paralysis Hammers?
For Status Hammers just use the Raw Damage Build 👍🏽 If you want to add more Paralysis to it, you can switch out the Peak Performance Decos for that. You can use it with both Courage & Strength Style.
The elemental Build is specificaly set up for Element Hammers, so it wont translate well to Status.

For Bloodlust you will only need Lv 1. Anything more than that is not realy necesarry.

I have seen a lot of people using the Hyper nova hammer instead of the Narwa one.
I know it doesn't necessarily beat the Narwa hammer. Just thought I'd ask if it's worth using at all.
It has a lvl 3 rampage slot so you can use elembane and argument for max element.
I believe it's actually beats narva when elembane is active

As for Narwa or Nove Hammer, that's a realy interesting topic i've been working on with the reddit meta team. The best way to answer that question is: Nova Hammer is a Sidegrade. It's not better or worse^^
Wich of the Hammers is the more optimal choice will depend on mutiple different factors for each individual Hunter.
Nova has better Slotage, but significantly worse Sharpness that you will have to make up for, because keeping purple is a huge deal for Elemental Hammer.
It comes with a nice Lv 3 Rampage Slot for easy access to Elembane, but the 20% less Element kind of even that out again in the end.
So it will come down to 3 things:
- How consistant can you make use of Elembane ?
- Do the Slots on the Nova Hammer offer a significant benefit for you personally ?
- And can you fit in enough Handicraft + Sharpness Managment Skills to run it comfertably ?
[With this Build you can choose for yourself and run both Hammers comfertably. I use Narwa for Anti Species Deco option & Nova for Hunts were I know I will be able to have Elembane active for atleast 90% of my Hits. Narwa can even drop Master's Touch completely depending on playstyle here - offering some additional Slots]

nova is 100% better. narwa is too costly especially with the gap closure due to element slots for qurio used for rampage

Nope, i think that was one of the very few Videos were i actually did not show the full Switch Skill setup i was using 😄
It's completely up to personal preference on Hammer! The only thing i suggest never taking out is Water Strike.
not sure how one set of element and 2 from kushala give you two times the amount none of my weapons get that much for a 20 percent boost. like dragon conversion, dragon heart, max dragon element gets you to almost 200 element not sure how your getting almost twice that from just 20 percent buff?
It seems you you missed ALOT here! 😅
This Build has a minimum of 65% increased Element by default.
- Element ATK Lv 5 (+20%)
- Kushala/Teo Blessing Lv 2 (+10%)
- Mail of Hellfire Lv 3 on Blue Scroll (+20%)
- Strife Lv 3 (+15-20%)
(And then you also get additional Element from Burst, aswell as Bloodlust at times)

Nope, but there will be another CB Video for a pure Phial Damage Raw (Impact Phial) Build & a possible Sidegrade Build for Element might be addet aswell.
Came back recently and wanted to upgrade my sets, realized all the decos require me to grind those awful anomaly quests to level 200 to get the materials...
Good thing is, leveling to 200+ is now waaay faster than it used to be^^ You can get it done decently fast 👍🏽

@@Ramingor The simplest way is to go for Quests with the highest Point multipliers that you can complete recently fast & consistantly (Wich will ofc be different for everyone based on expirience & skill level).
For around AR 200 Gold Rathian, Furious Rajang, R.Teo, & R.Chammy are pretty good targets that are "easy" to kill quickly. Any kind of Time restrictions, Player Number restrictions & Faint restrictions will increase the points.
Otherwise just keep an eye on the Anomaly Research Requests for the Bonus Points. If it's a Monster that falls into the 6 Star Tier or above, it will likely be worth going after !
Multi Monster Quests are worth it if the secondairy Target is either easy/low health, or has good Wyvernride Attacks.
For Example a Quest with R.Teo + Rajang. Both Monsters will have reduced Health due to it being a Multi Quest, and Rajang can take a big chunck off R.Teo's Health for free with his Wyvernride Attacks.
And here us ps5 users gotta wait till August 28 for the rest of the updates, damn

It's a decent choice. But mathematically it cant beat Scorned Magnamalo overall. Foray has a tiny uptime because the Poison on the Lucent Hammer is super low. Monster's will only get poisoned 2 or 3 times at most before they die. And the Purple Sharpness is 20 Hits less + The stopping power that comes from Blasts going off is very benefitial Hammers in general and also to get Partbreaks quicker, wich in turn helps with Bloodawakening.

The only place were there's a clear winner is on fights against Elder Dragons. Scorned takes the clear win against R.Valstrax, Teo, Chammy & Velkhana. Lucent takes the win against R.Shaggy & Kushala.

@@tenmonsters6404Since the Decos are all listed already there's nothing realy to be changed. It's already optimized for damage as it is. But you can exchange the Decos for anything else if you like. Are there any comfort or personal preference skills you like to have in your builds?

It's just RNG. Best way is to do Investigations that drop alot of Amber Essence so you can re-roll the Augments & get the Skill you want as fast as possible.

I'm gonna asume you're talking about the Element Build ? For Meta Element Hammer ATK Boost isnt a priority. But i explain & show in the video that you can still add it later (maybe you missed it or didnt watch fully).
And the 2nd Build has ATK Boost Lv 7 anyway, since it's a Raw Build^^

are the weapon augments all elements?
For the Element Weapons it's all available Element Augments, + 1 Attack Augment.
Well i think this doesnt make sense. I have the same armour and talisman and all the decos. Why doesnt it even have nearly the same skills as even the budget version. Also the slots in the augment screen in the uprgraded version dont resemble the worn armour. I dont look at the slots before and after the augment i refer the slots to before augmentation. Those slots arent on the same armour in my game. I watched it multiple times and it doesnt add up.

Slots can change very often when augmenting. But are you're sure you're realy using the same parts ?

@@YokaiNox well i should have said wich one i was trying. It was. The first one i guess. I just looked at the first build with the upgraded version then there came the augments and the slots in this didnt match the armour not because of the augment but in general. I have to say i play my game in german so some stuff is called different therefore i googled it and looked at the stats and extras of that item to get the right one. So far this worked with every build i made from the internet. Anyways i got a set now and this isnt important now. Have a nice day 😄

Completely up to personal preference & playstyle on Hammer. You can use whatever you like most.
The only Switch Skill you should never remove is "Water Strike".
Hammer magnamalo is better whith amatsu hammer?
Do you mean is the Magnamalo Hammer better than the Amatsu Hammer ?
For Raw Damage, yes. Because Mangamalo Hammer can use the Buildup Boost Skill.
Amatsu Hammer is still good though.
How to get layer bear hammer
You have to unlock the Bear Hammer by doing Villager Requests from Kamura.
HOW DID YOU GET THE TALISMAN WITH MAIL OF HELLFIRE??? I cannot find it with the melting pot, what can I do? It is not even in the list for the talisman, I can read this ability only in the sinister armor, I dont know what to do, christ!!!
Talismans with Skills like Mail of Hellfire, Frostcraft, Berserk, Dragon Conversion for example can only be found with the Vigor Melding. You can not select Skills there. It's RNG, but luckily the drop rates for Mail of Hellfire arent that bad ^_^

@@marcomolendini7364 Any time, no problem at all! 👍🏽Burst is not essential. But if you're making the Element Build then it is nice to have for extra Damage.
Powder Mantle is also not essential, but a great bonus for damage. The Powder Mantle Explosion can do 800-1000 DMG here. If you dont have these 2 Skills, dont worry about it.

@@CensorShtTube Never stay in yellow if you can avoid it. No matter if you're using Strength or Courage Style, always go straight into blue stance and attack from there. Yellow is realy only used for non-charged stationairy attacks right now, when trainsitioning out of blue via the i-frame stance switching move.
you can not slot in 85 element from crafting ,that hammer come with 76 ice not 161 and it in white so your saying that's its base element no weapon in the game comes close to having that much base element elemental damage is only 1.6 base so you modded its base then applied the buff that active on hit and made if buff its number. this video is bad and misleading

Full Element Augments on Hammer give you +85 Element when it also has all Slots unlocked (because unlocking Slots gives you free bonus stats on all weapons). It's right there for you to see ! 😂(76 Base Element + 85 when all Slots are unlocked & you give it full Element Augments = 161 It's basic Math) There is nothing missleading or moddet here. You are literally the ONLY person who has somehow missed this in the Video and thought something strange like modding or whatever. @@slayer31397 It's actually completely up to personal preference on Hammer. I personally always run Impact Crater and switch between Keeping Sway or the Spinning aerial one (I always forget the name xD). Water Strike should also never be taken out!
