      That’s literally word for word what I was thinking while watching this. The man ruled the stage. This is just an unbelievable performance. Never saw him with VR but I was lucky enough to see him with STP from about 20 ft away, dead center on the floor of 2,300 seat venue (the Warfield) in San Francisco in 2010, a few years before he passed. My brother flew up from Texas because the show he’d planned to see there got canceled after Scott went back into rehab. Wasn’t sure which Scott we’d get since he’d just gotten back out, but we got the sober one. They were awesome, and Scott just fucking killed it the whole show. What. A. Performer. Still one of the best shows I’ve seen. And the Giants had won the World Series a few miles away about an hour before the show started, so the crowd was well lubricated and in an exceptionally good mood.

      First of all, They’re not a Super Band, they’re a bunch of semi washed up rockers.
      They’re not playing anything that would get a mosh pit going, their not in touch with the strong rhythm’s, bass , riffs, etc. that get young crowds going today.
      Young concert crowds don’t want a guitar solo, they want a cool rhythmic riff that builds into a frenzy

      @@anandmorris Well you can’t please everyone . What’s your definition of a “Super Group “??
      To me it’s not a bunch of Semi washed up musicians that got booted out of the actual good band.
      They are all trying to hard, and it looks like their trying to prove something, and the actual passion and feeling just isn’t there. You might not see it , but I do.

    • @anandmorris
      @anandmorris 10 месяцев назад +4

      @soupystevesguitarartsextra3697 they didn't get booted out, they left.
      Whatever it is you are "seeing", its is a complete fabrication of your mind. If you had been an ultra successful musician yourself, had experience in such popular bands, i would be able to take your opinion a little more seriously. I think it could be you are slightly washed up yourself, having never even made it in the first place.

      Oh shit I didn't know that. I knew that Cornell was in "Temple of the Dog" with Eddie Vedder, but that's it. "Mad Season" with Layne Staley was a supergroup too, I think.

    Scott channeling his inner Perry Farrell during the intro. And then you can clearly see him battle the monkey on multiple close up exhales! Brilliance in the downfall. 😞

    Why haven't I seen this live version of Slither? VR is at their absolute peak in this vid and Scott nails the vocals from 1st note to last! You can't deny "Jungle" as a rock anthem of all time securing a place in history for Guns & Roses, but I still think Scott was a much better fit for this band than Axel. This is an example of rock & roll at it's finest! So glad I found and thanx for posting :)
