Lyrics
Hey
Hey
Hey
When you look you see right through me
Cut the rope, fell to my knees
Fallen, broken every single time
Always keep me under finger
That's the spot where you would chew me
But I see sometime pleasure in my mind
Yeah, here comes the water
It comes to wash away the sins of you and I
This time you see
Hey
Hey
Hey
When you seek me you destroy me
Rape my mind and smell the poppy's
Fallen blood in every single time
Always keep me under finger
That's the spot where you might linger
But I see sometime the pleasure in my mind
Yeah, here comes the water
It comes to wash away the sins of you and I
This time you see
Like holy water
It only burns you faster than you'll ever dry
This time with me
When you look, you see right through me
Cut the rope, fell to my knees
Falling and bloating every single time
Yeah, here comes the water
It comes to wash away the sins of you and I
This time you see
Like holy water
It only burns you faster than you'll ever dry
This time with me
Hey
Hey
Hey

When you can’t get a song out of your head. Masterpiece.
Thats the issue when a production its that good its atemporal you can listen this in 10 years and still gonna rock
When you don't want it out of your head that's a masterpiece ✨️ 👌
Exactly!!
@@nathanielbables8652 Yep. You said it far better than I. All the best.
Sid Vicious Jr, AKA (Scott Weiland) Had One Excellent song to his Credit, but only the real Talent was Duff and Slash, but Scott did this song Justice, but as far as I'm concerned, this was his best and Finest he ever did! Drugs will get you one of 3 ways, it'll kill ya, It'll Break Ya, and it can ruin everything you ever Dreamed about growing up wanting that Perfect Piece of Property, then having some great friends over with their tools, & in some cases brought extra framing Carpenters, drywallers, 2 Electricians, I men as long as the beer and Liquor didn't run out, my friends built my dream home for free, but that Ice Cold Beer Cost me several thousand bucks, but I had a warm and dry home, but the ex took it from me but I wore or less gave it to her so my sons wouldn't have to worry about having a roof over their Heads. Depression comes in several Million Different ways and can hit us all anytime, anyplace! Peace OUT!
Velvet revolver one of the best gigs out of hundreds I’ve been to , real rock n roll. Fantastic while it lasted
RIP Scott :(
Fuckin drugs...
Nobody's sure if the drugs were the cause of his death, but now he can finally rest of his own demons
:'(

hello jordi
Jordi hola que hace jaja :D
Scott leaning on a shredding slash right before the chorus hits is an image that will live forever in my mind. Something so simple, but so fucking cool.
Nobody had stage swagger like Weiland...NOBODY! RIP Scott and thanks for the ass kicking tunes!!
actually he moved a lot like Mick Jagger
+Stacey Munsey Nobody moves like Mick Jagger :-), actually I thought Iggy Pop first time I saw this video.
+D. Scott Whitaker Damn straight, especially at 3:27
Heroine my man it’s called heroine
Bolan is easily tops
Slash has THE most awesome hair in rock and roll!
+Gertrude Flabbersham and the best riffs/solos!
+Panos Siatras Mmmmm, no.
+An. S. well i guess its subjective, but i like his overall style better than anyone's else.
Panos Siatras Yes, he is a good guitarist, but maybe nos the better.
+Gertrude Flabbersham Illl give it too ACDC guitarist Angus Young nobody beats that guy in how much he tries to please a crowd, slash is great tho no douubt
Seriously my fav parts when Duff yells "AYY" 😂
Raven Castleberry And when he yells "ayyy lmao"

Slash has such great stage presence, I know that’s weird to say, but he always in a great groove.
Actually....spot on!!💣💥🤘
Why would that be weird to say?
Give credit where it's due 🙂
Huh? How’s that weird? That’s common sense
@@mr.smithgnrsmith7808 just an odd way to describe a man like Slash that’s all lol
nothing weird about that....i have listened to slash since the 80's and he may not be the most virtuoso player but 90% of what he does makes the song a better song....a real legend of the guitar!
It's crazy how talented Weiland was, going from STP to Velvet Revolver, the contrast between them is astounding. What a chameleon he was gonna have to listen to some of his solo stuff as well.

Right?!
Scott was so exytemely talented!
I love Core, that's my favourite. If you listen to how much range there is on just that album! Both with his vocals but also the songs and the lyrics.
He does everything from Pearl Jam to Soundgarden.
Then there are songs like Interstate Love Song, Atlanta which is more ballad like. People also like Sour Girl. I dont.
And then VR who is clean rock'n roll. Damn did he nail it! Slither, Fall To Pieces!
And his Christmas Album!! He sings with a clean classic voice like Sinatra! Damn he was one of a kind!
And that show he did put on while on stage when he was at his best!
No one was as charismatic as Scott Hot Stuff Weiland!
RIP bro.
+Give it up for Jackson Heights own, Mr. Randy Watson THAT boy was good...
+Give it up for Jackson Heights own, Mr. Randy Watson Nice pic. RIP Scott
+AdiDoinStuff Yeah, good and terrible.

+Give it up for Jackson Heights own, Mr. Randy Watson...BEST.NAME.EVER. i was saw Coming to America again a few days ago. That movie still cracks me up. Eddie & Arsenio were fucking funny as hell in that
I recently started listening to an artist with a unique voice that I loved and I had no idea it was him and someone who is no longer with us. So sad and such a tragedy he is gone. RIP.
It's heartbreaking to see the transformation of Scott from STP when he was buffed and cut to Velvet Revolver when he's just a waif of his old self. You can tell that addiction has taken hold and I wish he had found a way through it!! Such an amazing group!
Beginning at 2:42, and for the duration of Slash's solo, Slither becomes everything GnR would have been at this moment on some alternate timeline I desperately wish was our own.
This song still kicks ass in 2019!!!
Yes it does.
Yes!
🤘🏻
Oh yes
This song will still kick ass in 2029.
Scott was fkn amazing man
I can only imagine what it was like to see this band live. The stage presence must be unreal.
Rest in Peace Scott. We'll miss you.
Masterpiece! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
This is one of the best songs I have heard in a very long time.
RIP my beautiful man.
You are missed every day.
Poor Scott. He met heroin and he never got away from it. Such a talented guy and such a sad shame.❤️
It wasn't in his system when he died.
@@martineshamzin7535 Not what I heard but either way he died far too young.
That is one awesome band, a good lineup all around .
Wish I could watch this video for the first time again...back in 2004.
Legendary band
Legendary song
Legendary venue
Legendary video
Legendary human

Just shows how powerful a performer scott Weiland was and why they wanted him for velvet revolver. One of my 90s music idles just with his style and talent. He will be missed.

What a voice what a group !!!
Still love this song. Video feels like they're in the catacombs under Paris. Cool.
this always makes me want to drive my car real fast..rip Scott Weiland
This is seriously the most killer solo Slash ever did
I'm just gonna say that Slash, in this band. is like you've never heard him before. Whoa...
Epic of Epic Epicness!!!
How many of us been in a love/hate deal...Lotta passion, lotta fire...
Hence, Velvet Revolver.
Amen.
Funnily enough, I remember I was a sophomore in high school (which was like almost 10 years ago, da'gum! How time flies) and I was just getting into Stone Temple Pilots, and VR, and I remember being in the car with an old friend of mine, having told me that Scott Weiland had just passed.... I was in shock and couldn't believe it..... while Scott may be gone, his work will forever remain a testament of a true one of a kind musician
he is a legend...a fucking legend
It would be awesome if GNR start playing some Velvet Revolver songs now that Slash n Duff are back
axl tyler they do a few of velvet and a few from chinese democracy
Axl is best kept away from these sounds as it has no caliber for them ... he is no Weiland
@@vinyldiary6664 by a long shot Scott was way better
they did Slither on some concerts I've heard. Doesn't sound the same with Axl but I enjoyed that it was done. Like everyone in GnR is at peace now with the past. It's on RUclips somewhere.
Saw them live during their "not in this lifetime" concert this year - GNR did BOTH this song and black hole sun by soundgarden
I loved that they paid their respects to weiland and cornell
Not something i expected from GNR - but only made made me appreciate them even more.
I still love this album
That’s rock n roll at its best.
Miss you Scott 😭😭😭😭great damn singer. Very talented very missed!!
What a masterpiece
Never got weird enough for me 😊
Yes they had something special for a minute ☄️☄️
You know what song is amazing you go to bed it's in your head you wake up it's still there and start off where you finished your whole day it's still in your head that's when you know you've got a damn good song these guys are legendary I wish these guys met in the early 90s could you imagine the amount of albums I could have had and all that amazing music all them guitar riffs a girl Can Dream!♥️
I love the part where everything goes silent and the guitar sounds like a monsters stomach
Forgot this song existed!
0:33 Miley Cyrus??
WICKED WORK!!!.......EPIC!!!
Great song. Hot men. Purrrfect!
The ironic thing about grunge and what it meant to music, it was a repeat of the greats of the late 60's. Histories greatest artists taken from us way too early. Kurt, Chris, Andrew, Scott, Jim, jimi, mama Cass and Janis. So many great ones gone way too soon.
this is music.
Man, Scott was basically undead when they made this song. Heroin ain't so chic.
Ya he shouldn't have been looking like that as young as he was in this video, if you look at older photo's he was a lot heavier and actually somewhat attractive. My opinion! Drugs killed it all.
I was scrolling through the comments to see how far down I'd have to go before finally someone would mention how god-awfully unhealthy he looks in this!
Que buena banda, pensar que la pude ver en vivo en el quilmes rock 2007. Slither esta dentro de los 10 temas que más me gustan del fu#%!& rock!!!
Under rated solo for sure...wow
Awesome song, love it

When you give the Pilot a Gun
Daniel Guerrero that is fucking genius man!
Oh wow!
His using like 2 or 3 vocal cords at same time making that cool almost horn sound awesome.
I wonder if he was paying a bit of homage to Iggy with the pants and some of the posing. Similar to Iggy's Raw Power album cover. Iggy could bend like he had no spine.
Is this the best rock video?.
This song remain me when I'm in high school .
Every song demands a solo from slash its in his contract all of them
Frencho,Texas Made,OakCliff Raised,Here in 2024
What G'nR should have become, if it weren't for axel.
For real, including the songs on slash' s snakepit or the solo albums... so many bangers

You know it’s going down when Slash’s guitar goes vertical.
this made me actually laugh out loud
He crucify his vocals on the cross, either axl or scott by this move
Fully erect
Mixed kids are the best guitar players!!
Michael Dillon Harrison hell yeah!
I realize Scott Weiland was a troubled person and the band was always on the verge of flying apart, but for a couple of minutes, Velvet Revolver was the perfect rock and roll band.
Yeah I saw them live and it was what can I say? Indescribable. I managed to catch them in one of the short windows where Scott and Slash were sober.
Later I saw STP when Scott has 'falllen to pieces' again and after coming on an hour late he rambled incoherently about his brother dying for about 30 minutes. People started booing. Just a shame how good he could be to see that...

Agreed! It’s hard to make a whole ass album with bangers but they did it.
Velvet Revolver and Audioslave shouldve ruled the airwaves for a decade.
This song fucking rocks.
U dam straight that fucking song rocks
Isn’t that ironic, they both consisted of band members from other bands that basically did. Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against The Machine, Guns n Roses, etc. etc.
It's not that they didn't but it seems the music industry had other plans for the future of rock, being both groups rolled out in the early 2000s. Ironically I was listening to " like a stone" prior.
Hell yeah - I should clarify, my comment wasn't meant to be negative in any way. I rocked all of that music, and this!
Too many of the hands-down greatest vocalists (at least my absolutely most favorite vocalists) were taken.

80's Hard Rock + 90's Grunge
GREAT MIX
It's simply heavy metal
It´s simple Kickass Hard rock!
@@vinyldiary6664 Exactly what it is!!
Wrong but I guess
It's blowing my mind that this song came out almost 20 years ago. TWENTY.
Back in the day, I was always dreaming of what it'd be like to be alive in the late 80s. I am now further away from 2003 than I was from 1987 in 2003. Time is wild, but Slash remains timeless!
I was a kid in the late 80s and in junior high when Guns n Roses broke out. So when this came out I was solidly in my 20s. To think that this is now 20 years old proves what my grandmother told me years ago. Time just goes faster and faster the older you get.
In the late 80s I was trying to get off heroin, coke, valium, alcohol, finally did in September of 1990.
I graduated H.S. in '89. It was a glorious time!
💯 I'm about the same age, born in 76, my grandmother used to tell me the same thing. The passage of time is extremely difficult to quantify. When we were younger 20 years felt like an eternity, now it seems to go by in a heartbeat.
I saw Guns N Roses play this in the cozy confines of the Hollywood Palladium. No joke.
Director: How many close ups of hip gyrations do you want?

Yeah,Slash is a fucking badass.
Duff is a fucking badass ! :D
I have a feeling this was the kind of stuff slash wanted to be playing when he left Guns in '94.
Axl was going crazy with pro tools and his sound experimentation. Slash just wanted to rock without all the studio trickery
Slash did do his own thing with Slashes Snake Pit
and Chinese Democracy is what Axl wanted
Snakepits epic
actually he left in 96. man i sound rude saying that
That guitar is so god damn juicy

Correct! All the great Frontmen from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's are very old, aging, or dead. The music industry would have to do an almost total 360 to see Frontmen and their bands get back to this Greatness! Hope it happens, but very skeptical.
