Are you excited!?!
Yes sir. May be a good replacement for my 08 5.7L sequoia. But…maybe not. Hard to leave reliability that’s also paid off. Hava
The excitement will wear off as soon as the MSRP is released. 😕
Yes
This just might replace my 2023 Toyota Sequoia in a couple of years. I just might have the 4 runner Trail Hunter and the LC first edition at the same time 🎉😅
@@jayray274 considering the tundra nonhybrid limited is only like $3k more than a taco a limited…I’d imagine the 4Runner will be priced even higher.
So…the current 4runner limited is about $55k. The new one will be around $60k-62k. Right on par with the cheapest new sequoia you can buy. They just overlap.
Kinda funny. My local dealer has the new tundra capstone for $6500 off right now.
So excited! Can't wait to finally get a 4Runner!
i hope the TRD pro doesn't have the backseat shocks like the tacoma
That color… I love it
The price will be 70k for that
If I was Toyota this is the model I would lead the launch with. The teaser with the blue 4Runner was likely a Limited. The Trailhunter is the coolest of the bunch and a halo vehicle for the 4Runner lineup. It also has the best interior too. Can't wait! A 9am launch Pacific Time during business hours would have been much preferrable to 10:15pm EST.
Awesome Jon now. I am very intrigued about how they will differentiate the Land Cruiser from the 4 runner trailhunter.
It will be less capable but similar in price. Going down to if you’re a 4runner fan boi or LC fan boi. Lol
All for the nice round figure of 70k++++
80 probably
When the slime ball dealers are finished marking it up the Trailhunter will be pushing $100K
4Runner Trailhunter msrp 65k
dealer markup +15k
dealer added goodies +10k
total price 90k what a deal!
I think the Trail Hunter Tacoma and 4Runner is going to be north oof 65k. To do the same afterrmarket upgrades cost quite a lot. I expect the TRD Pro to be 60k, and the Trail Hunter to be closer to 70k, or higher.
Then I would prefer Land Cruiser
I'd be surprised if the Trailhunter is under $75k msrp
@@Unknownn658 100% under 75k come on now.
Prefer a tundra@@MarketAndChurch
Curious to see how the legroom is as well as the rear storage footprint! It could very well be my next vehicle and 1st 4Runner after 4 Tacos
Pretty stoked, was really hoping they were going to have a trail hunter option for the 4Runner. Cant wait! Thanks for bringing us the update!
Thanks Jon
Love it can’t wait to see the new Trailhunter 4 Runner
Props to Toyota for not dragging out the teasers for 6 months lol. So pumped for the officially release tomorrow! If they nail it, it’ll be a toss up between 4Runner and Land Cruiser at this point for me.
Gonna be so hard to choose
I can't even imagine the prices
In 21 I bought a sr5 blackout package for 41k. That same truck is 47k this year. These will start at 50k and you will say it’s only 3k more.
You can thank the rampant inflation for the increase in prices😢
USA inflation
Think it will be more like 60k trd jon tacoma was mid 50k
I got the same 4Runner new in 2016 w/ the 3rd row for 35k
Nice. Trailhunter is going to be a really popular package.
Never thought of the Trailhunter brand going to the 4R. Toyota throws a curve ball. 👏🤙
that new color give me vibe of the jeep color "anvil" but with a green hue to it.
Can't wait to see what this looks like.
Right now I'm on a European vacation for two weeks and I'm just as excited to see the new 4runner tomorrow, I so much can't wait to see it. But I still love my 2016 4runner trail. Hope this sixth gen worth the wait.
Hope we like it.
Hope it will still have decent towing capacity.
That body line is just like the Tacoma. Looks like the interior and exterior will be the same as the Taco. Disappointing about the interior but the exterior will look great
Jon I just purchased a 2024 Toyota 4R TRD Pro, waiting it out to see how these vehicles perform. Hope I didn’t make a mistake,,
Want to see...approach/departure/breakover angles vs. LC, how they're measuring ground clearance for this, GVWR if it's over 6k lbs for first year full business use write off. Excited to see it
Really can’t wait to see how this is gonna stack up against the Land Cruiser. Oh and I really like the color ! Beats the Blue and yellow on the LC hands down.
Can you imagine if they had the hybrid system paired up with a manual?! Not a chance of it happening, but it would be super cool.
Unfortunately there will be no manual transmission, if my Toyota dealer told me the truth today. And only the hybrid turbo 4 cyclinder.
@@LivingRetirement Didn't Toyota themselves say like 6 months ago that the 4runner will get all the Tacoma goodies, including the manual? I dont think dealers have any insider info on the 4runner or else there'd be leaks by now
I’m still praying for a manual! They’ve gotta offer it to compete with the Wrangler and the Bronco! 6MT for the win!
@@SIat I hope you are right. The new 4Runner with manual transmission would be for me the perfect next vehicle to get. It would do all I need it to do, from pulling my small camper to having fun with rowing through the gears.
@@LivingRetirement I think the the 6th gen will get a manual. I just don’t expect the hybrid version to get it.
I'm curious on ride comfort while retaining the offroad capabilities. And how heavy is it compared to the 5th gen.
Looks way more teal than anything in the army green territory to me, which is awesome. Teal with bronze wheels and dark badging sounds 👌
OH SHIT YEAH!!
I want to see the front!
I just want to know what the payload capacity will be for the Tacoma Trailhunter, and the hybrid longbed off-road. It seems to be some mysterious secret that just won't be shared yet. That, and what the safety crash test results will end up being.
I have a deep need for that color
So good
Great job on the video Jon! Thanks for making it. I think the fun thing about a Trailhunter 4Runner is the fact that they will now have a full line of bolt-on mods for 4Runner that can be installed by Toyota and it's warrantied. Or wrap it into the build price for your SR5. That's super cool.
As for what would a turnkey Trailhunter consist of? How's about it has KDSS, but a switch on the dash to let you disengage it?
Go Jon. Go Jon. Go Jon.
I think it all comes down to if it comes with a full size roof rack or a 3/4th size. I'm refusing to drill holes in the roof of my $60K TRD PRO to fit a full size rack to fit a rooftop tent properly. The land cruiser has an optional 3/4th size and had the same problem
Can't wait for rear top camper!!! it will demolition the competition!!! how it should be!!! leessgooo places!!!
I have an 06 v8 4x4. I may buy one of these at the end of this year depending how it looks
I'm calling that color "Evergreen"
Finally, I feel like the original TRD name is too universal, toyota definitely needed this change to compete with the names of the bronco raptor, badlands etc.
It’s gonna be almost a carbon copy of the new Tacoma
I like the Tacoma, but I love the 4runner even more. I hope it doesn't look like the Tacoma.
I’m alright with that approach. Honestly whatever they can do in terms of parts sharing will be good to try and keep the prices reasonable.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the Hybrid Tacoma, 4Runner and the land cruisers are all going to be overlapping in price. They’re all gonna be in that 50K to 70K bracket. And whichever ones are made in Japan will be my choices
Lots of parts sharing to try and keep the price down AND built at the same plant as the Tacoma in Mexico
@@dand2334 damn all our worst fears realized
Well at least we know what the lower doors are gonna look like on the new 4runner.
Noice!
Let’s see how it compares to land cruiser!
The price is going to be insane.
Nice. Can’t wait!
Coronado Ca. Watch your toes on the counter that stands out in front of the Bathroom when you get up in the middle of the night. It'll get you.
Excited yes.. made in Japan???
Yes, it is being made in Japan.
People counting down days and hours to see 4Runner, I am afraid of Toyota will disappoint us. Can not wait to see its artistic design
…yeah, a 4 banger turbo that sounds like an angry string trimmer🙄
I really need a new vehicle.. GX550 and Trailhunter have been the top on my list but man, I’m nervous about first year vehicles.
Especially with the issue the Tundra and Sequoia seem to still be having after 2-3 years.
Now we gotta added 4Runner to the Trailhunter list
After this morning's faux pas by Forbes magazine letting out the 4Runner press release 12 hours early, I expect we're going to see a big spike in demand for the last of the 5th gens. I'm very underwhelmed by the styling for how long it has been in development. Hate the longer wheel base, hate the decrease in approach and departure angles, not at all impressed with the styling and body lines. I think we all expected it would have the same 2.4L turbo as the Tacoma, but I'm still disappointed. If the price point is in the mid $50k range, why would anyone buy one of these over a Land Cruiser?
To be fair, I thought the new Land Cruiser was going to be difficult to beat. The LC is what the 4Runner should have been. Simplistic but classic lines, outstanding functionality, and basic options that are extremely functional for the off-road enthusiasts. Stylistically, the new 4Runner looks like botox trash compared to the LC. I expect this might be the shortest lived generation since the 1990-1995 run of the 2nd gen 4Runner. I think they're going to see a big drop in demand. It doesn't have a single differentiating feature that makes it more appealing than the Land Cruiser other than a slight variation in price point.
Cannot wait.
Still holding out for removable top LOL, but sure that's not happening.
Nah most likely not
How of the Trailhunter different from the TRD OR?
Is the TRD OR now replaced by the Trailhunter?
Are they keeping assembly in Japan?
It got the same door as the Tacoma?
Where in san diego are they having this event?
What?! Tell me it’s AM, not PM!!! Hehehe… Can’t wait, even though I don’t care for the trailhunter…!
After looking at these 3 Toyota teasers, I think this vehicle will be built in Mexico. The interior looks identical from the “B” pillar forward, now we know it will have the same trim levels as the Tacoma. It makes massive economic sense to have both the Tacoma and 4 Runner built at the same plant since they are going to be related closely to each other just as the Tundra and Sequela are. It doesn’t are economical sense to split production between Japan and Mexico for a vehicle that is only sold in North America.
You'll find out tomorrow ;)
Is the release in San Diego? If so, where and is this open to the public?
Looking forward to a 4runner with a bucket of torque finally
Yep. Will be nice to not have something underpowered for sure
The color is hunter green.
Oh I like that!
Given recent history, I'd wager the Tacoma and 4Runner are going to share many components/features. TBD if that is a positive or negative.
time will tell
4R TrailHunter or LandCruiser base? Probably will be the same price.
LC base is $55k. Will be interesting to see how Toyota prices these. Would seem like 4r and LC will steal sales from each other.
I think that the 4 runner will be built in Mexico and that should price it in at $5000 under a Land Cruiser,
At least the 4runner line will be made in Japan(well not 100% on that but we will see), AND you’ll have actual rear leg room for longer trips
It was established months ago that production will remain in Japan.
@@mikelaughlin270 I never got the memo. good to know. Thanks. 👍🏻
I think it will be made at the same plant in Mexico next to the Tacoma…just as the Tundra and Sequoia is at.
@@dand2334 It is being built in Japan at the Tahara plant. It was announced months ago.
Are they doing a live reveal on their Toyota RUclips page?
ICE forever! jmho
Hope it has a better paint job. My 2020 paint quality is terrible
Will the FourRunner be like the Sequoia, all trims are hybrid?
Ask if it will run on premium or regular unleaded and also MPG's!
Probably regular based on the previous vehicles.
So I assume these won't hit the sales lot til middle/late 2025? The Tacoma verisons aren't even out yet. At least gives people time to decide
4Runners typically come to market sooner
24 Tacoma Trail hunter is not even out. Good luck trying to get your hands on a 25 4Runner trail hunter. You have to wait two years. And good luck trying to get it at MSRP.
Is this the return of the Army Green?!?
Looks like a turquoise aqua green
is that the Coronado bridge?
Yessir
I just hope it tows more tbh
👀👀👀👀
Oh! Where in California is this unveiling tomorrow? I can't seem to find details to where it is.
It's not open to the public.
@@TRDJon 😥I'll wait for your video then.
Problem will be all the forced camo on the trd pro
The only thing that sucks is it’ll probably be another year and a half before it’s available to buy.
:)
Tundra TrailHunter is vaporware..
No where to be seen
Ok, so it is a copy paste of the Tacoma then, with a scrolling rear window. I may skip the GX for this.
GX is solid for sure!
Im excited for this trim, but NOT excited for the price on it! 😮
There's really nothing to be excited about especially if they go to a 4 cylinder turbo/hybrid with the inflated MSRPs and possibly going to Mexico but it will be Entertaining watching the Toyota cheerleaders cheer lol
Ask where the 4Runner will be built.
It is being built in Japan. That was announced months ago.
Will there be a 4Runner without all of the hybrid crap?
I'm super exited for the all new naturally aspirated 6 cylinder motor, the 6 speed manual and the removable roof. Otherwise no interest.
Sorry
Toyota is such an arrogant pain in the rear. The 4Runner is a vehicle for the North American market and yet the time they choose to debut it is far too late in the evening even by PCT standards.
10 PM is not late by any stretch of the imagination.
@@mikelaughlin270 for a professional product launch that’s extremely late. A 5 PM Pacific time launch would be very appropriate for the people there and all the time zones East. 10 PM is not late if you’re at the bar or in your basement playing World of Warcraft.
@@Captndarty What is late and isn't late is subjective. The college basketball championship started well after 9PM this evening. Many other sporting events start in the evening as well. If one is in the military, works in a hospital E.R., is a fireman or other type of first responder there is no such thing as "Late" or "Early."
@@mikelaughlin270 Jesus Christ this is not a public event therefore they don’t have to schedule it for after work hours for the masses. I don’t care about all your minority examples. Late is late for the majority. Oh and I guess Forbes thought it was too late too🤣
and people still waiting the trailhunter tundra and trailhunter tacoma and hybrid tacoma and trd pro tacoma, and also tundra still waiting on update for remote start and drive... come on toyota do better
Trailhunter is a meme for boomers with too much money to feel tough with a mall crawler, if you really want to take it offroad/camping just get a sr5 or offroad all you need
Unfortunately, the ADM Hunter will have a real-world price exceeding $70k.
Why so late??? 😂😂😂😴😴
Not sure
Toyota!!!!! Please don’t put a 4 cylinder in it!!!
It is 100% a 4 cylinder
I don’t like the splitting up of the lineup like this.
That is Not anywhere close to a British racing green. Smh...
Certain greens that ive seen online look like it with that. WD lambo looks similar to it in that shade
He spells his name Rong
nobody notice the terrible paint finish on this one ?
why is the event in California?...if people are fleeing that state? 😆😆
Because not everyone believes the right wing propagandist
Less people to bother us during reveal lol
looks exactly like the Tacoma's driver-side door, so I'm assuming the rest of the 4Runner will look like the Tacoma too. 🫤
Different rear lights, but that might be it 😂
