Awesome vid Tommy. I've been drawing up the plans from your vids on that epic grill pad you got going on back there for when I get one of these griddles. You did a nice job on this one. That PitBoss 5B is able to crank out consistent heat, even after the drop down. Love it.
Ooh yeah….definitely money! Classic smash burger and the kicked up bacon and crispy onions…..awesome! Digging the pro tips Tommy! Stay safe with the weather that’s rolling in brother! Cheers!
This should be the last of the snow, but as you know, we've had snow in April. I used my griddle yesterday. I made sausage with peppers and onions. Reminded me of the boardwalk in Seaside.
@@John-P-Spiak Oh yes. Seaside. That place is stsrting to boom again since closing all those Jersey Shore(the show)night clubs. They are trying to bring back the families. Meand the wife go at least 3 times during the summer. Its an awesome boardwalk!
"Let's get to smashin" seems like an homage to Prince. They can figure it out. The music makes me think of an artist testing out the instrument, just looking for the right sound/taste. It seems that you enjoy this method more than cooking with charcoal or pellets. Good to see you so happy with your work. JT
Just found your site. Wow--so many great tips and I'm a competition bbq guy. Usually doing ribs and brisket but I'm all in on this Pit Boss Griddle. It's on the way, and I'll keep learning from you! Between you and the Waltwins, I can't wait to make some delicious food that doesn't take 16 hours!
Oh my Tommy. Mouthwatering burgers! I have to say since I’ve started making these on my cast iron griddle I bought for my Weber summit charcoal grill, I can’t make them any other way now. I’m absolutely hooked on these.
I have a one burner 17” Blackstone that I have not used in over a year but HAD to bust it out to make some Tommy burgers! Family devoured them and it was a fun cook. Great video as always.

WOW,WOW,WOW Those looks amazing, now I have to go make some, this made me hungry, onions for me and Molly smash burgers for the little Lady, gonna have to get a heater for you, looks cold, thanks Tommy
Good job on those smash burgers I’ll take the one with bacon how does the pitboss handle once food is added does it hold temps my 22” e series drops 50% once I add food just doesn’t do very well for searing but thats just my opinion great video cheers 🍺👍🔥👊
Great burgers! - I prefer closer to 3 oz if I'm doubling up. Pro Tip: unless you're searing (like the burgers) never go higher than medium heat on a flattop. For 5 burners I would go (left to right) High-High-Med high-Med- and Off (to keep warm).
Hey Tommy, looked awesome nice crust I have a similar problem with the onions on my grill grates no cool zone you’ll have to experiment that griddle gets so hot maybe you don’t even need to turn the far burner on at all you’ll have to do more Smashburger experiment how terrible for you🙁 P.S. looks like you’re getting some snow too bad you’re so far away I’d come and get your driver with my plow truck looks like we’re gonna get about 10 to 12 inches Wednesday and Thursday hopefully you guys don’t catch that one as well stay warm and have a good one🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍
How many times have you cooked on the Pit Boss so far? Did anything stick to the top yet? Im wondering how the top compares to the Blackstone E⚡Series indoor electric griddle.
A very little egg sticking which you'll see tomorrow. IMHO I like this cooking surface better, way better. The reason is the BS E-Series surface is almost to non-stick. Stuff goes flying everywhere. IMHO'd rather have a little bit sticking or a surface that you have to manage. Thanks brother!
@@thegalleryBBQ Thanks for your honesty...Im having a difficult time with food sticking on my E⚡Series and just trying to find tricks & tips on cleaning these types of tops since they are new to the griddling game.
Awesome looking burgers. Do you just have the burners set too high or do you think it could be the difference in the steel that causes this griddle to get so hot? If I'm looking for a sear on something, I usually turn the BS on and then gather everything to give it time to get good and hot enough.
Great video! It would be cool sometime you did a Blackstone vs pit boss griddle comparison video. Like pros and cons of each. Likes and dislikes in case someone was in the market and on the fence on which one to get. I'm not sure if you still have your Blackstone or not
I hear the sizzle on those Tommy, I hope Molly gets a bite, give her a break from the green beans. I was thinking, with the nonstick surface, could you flip the burger one more time just before you put it on the bun, get the top cheese a little crusty.
How are your patty’s not sticking? I just bought the PB Ultimate 4-Burner and cooked smash burgers twice. Both times they stick like glue so bad. I had bacon grease down the first time and a bit of avacado oil the second time and my surface temp was in the 4-450° range. I just don’t get why mine are sticking and yours aren’t.
@@thegalleryBBQ ok ok. I watched and I feel ya. We definitely want that sear goodness. I mean, still just perplexed as your smash burgers flipped so easy and I had to dig mine up haha. Great videos. Appreciate ya.
Can you please comment on the burger char, can it compare to steel cooking? It looked better than I've seen recently. P.S. I loved the looks of your onions, way I like it. Great content Jon
That's an amazing technique you have mastered! Sometimes simple is best. But, the Made in China smash tool needs to be replaces by something made in USA.
