John, my son with autism is turning 15 Monday. He loves CCR. No party, no gifts, he says. Just a road trip with Mum to Bethel....Here we come. Thanks for this.
I know im randomly asking but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost the password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Terrence Parker Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Just saw the documentary, unbelievable! I was not alive in 1969 but I can tell you the music, the energy, the dedication, and the unification that took place over those 4 days is something that will probably never be seen again. Wish I could have experienced it first-hand but to listen to their positivity and the simplistic way that life could be was mesmerizing. All the amazing talent that came forth for that festival like Joan Baez, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Janis Joplin and of course that one of a kind legendary performance by Jimi Hendrix was a privilege to watch and listen to. Simply stunning.
John, I will always be grateful to you. Why ? Because your music opened my young head in those crazy years, here in Montevideo, Uruguay. Unforgettable music that my family listens to with pleasure. Affectionately, from Montevideo, Uruguay.
John Fogerty, best rock n roll songwriter/player ever. So, so, much with just such basic chord structures. And that voice. Ahhhhh....that voice. I think that John Fogerty's songs and his creedence-day songs have been played more on the radio, AM or FM, than any other person alive, still, to this very day. Just wonderful. I learned to play guitar listening to his music. What happy times.
I went through 3 ccr greatest hits when I was young, now 45 and yesterday I was listening to coton fields, and center field, always a fan! the first song heard was old man down the road when I was little boy, never forgot that day!
I went to Woodstock and got there Friday and saw the opening.Left Sunday morning sinee there was no where to buy and food with the $10 I brought with me. I was all the way in the back Friday, but I told my unadventurous friend Saturday that I'm going to the very front. He said its packed solid, how can you even do that. Well, the right flank was very thin with people so I went front that side and then at the front said excuse me about 100 times. I was 6ft, 135 lbs. A bean pole, and this bean pole got right to the front just as Santana started. The music was so good the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I almost made it on the film. I was too the right of this little black guy you see on the film at the stage front fence grooving to the music. I remember that guy clearly.
Haha, please reply. Do you remember the people banging on the stage? Like the guy with the cans, a guy with a army uniform and white hat and a black guy with drum sticks? I would love to hear from you. ✌🏻
So nice to heard your story John ! Fogerthy is with Duke Delvin the original presenter of Woodstock ! A lovely and passionate guy who never left Bethel since Woodstock 69 ! I've met him at the 55th meething of Woodstock !
🥰 I listen to you often John & Family! 👍 I'm glad you are with us forever!!😊 when I was lil I'd crank that good ole radio! Lol my sister's would look at me wide eyed😁😘 my late dad passed at 61, loved your music too! he loved your song "Looking out your back door" ! I do love all your music!! Keeps me going🌞🥳😘 ThankYou!! I say Keep on Rock ROCKIN!! PS: Thank You for being in my life when growing up even if it was through the classic cars(of which I love 😉) radios I felt blessed you were there! A lot of your songs helped keep my spirit alive through the trials in life my family went through! Blessings always your way!😘🥳🌞😁🥰xo
I just made my first ever back in Oct. Just trying to imagine it was so neat. I want to go back in a few months and go to the museum and walk around more. I was amazed how many were tbere
Hey John, THANK YOU SO MUCH for flying over to St. Augustine, Florida for Mumford & Son's Gentlemen Of The Road Tour a few years back, it was a truly amazing show!
I love you John! Sending this to my mom so she can show this to my dad who loves you a whole lot more. If I could travel back in time I'd start a mosh pit in the middle of the sleepers for you. XD
Great story John. I've heard it many times through the years but it was great to hear it personally from you last year at your concert in Wallingford CT. A concert I will always remember and I so look forward to seeing you in concert soon. You are a busy man but I was wondering if you wouldn't mind answering one question. I've never been able to confirm if you and your old band mates first recording is actually on the song Beverly Angel by the singer James Powell. Be well John and Julie and good luck on tour
I think that is Shane Fogerty filming on his cell phone and the bloke with the grey beard looks like Last Gasp Underground publisher Ron Turner. (Well, maybe Ron.) I'm looking forward to John's Bio book in October 2015.
+artdingo The guy in the beard is probably Duke Devlin. He is at the Woodstock grounds all the time. He came to the concert and never left. No joke. If there was a more head on shot of him I could tell you for sure, but I am 90% sure it is Duke Devlin.
+Anthony Pignataro I'm talking about the young man, camera left. On John's right side who is drinking from a coffee mug. That's a Fogerty fortunate son.
I also think the guy with the beard is Duke Devlin . I met Duke a few years ago at the Woodstock site in Bethel, NY. He had some interesting stories himself. The site is a beautiful place to visit.
Fantasy records released CCRs Woodstock show finally after 40 years. And it’s worth the wait! Great show! The band was smoking hot and tight! They went on too late and were cut out of the film. The Hippie nonsense of Woodstock I never cared for. It’s too bad that the other three stabbed Fogerty in the back constantly. Including his own brother Tom! Go figure. I guess he was envious and jealous of him as well. Too bad! Fogerty is free of them all now. You don’t stab the Goose that lays the Golden Eggs. The man wrote and sang hit after hit. Hit songs! And your going to betray him? That’s Nuts! The late owner of Fantasy was his enemy and actually banned Fogerty from singing his own songs in public! Fogerty had to go before a judge to get his rights back. What a jerk that owner was! May he rot in Hell!
For sure!! I got the CD a few months ago and it's awesome...the band was in the zone and the recording is good..the version of commotion and 99 kick ass as does Suzie Q I had no idea John was such a fantastic guitarist.and Doug Clifford on drums..wow
He treated them like shit, ( Stu Cook and Doug Clifford later played with Doug Sham and hes more of a legend then this cat will ever be) and he avoids talking about that.
Played with Orianthie and stayed often besides her, but never talked so much about it! 🤣😎🤣👍 We're getting so old guy! Think more of the good CCR times!
Story I've heard over the years is CCR isn't in the Woodstock movie simply because the band wasn't happy with their performance and demanded to be left out.
im 67 years old and have a beard very well trimmed & edged in could never understand how some guys get so fat & let the hair & beard get so unkept that the look like a homeless person ..most cases the smell too & think all thats cool
John Fogerty did blame The Greatfull Dead. For going on high on LSD with Faulty equipment that broke down, which pushed CCR time back to go on by 2 hours....
@@jmweed1861 yep. He even brought it up a few years ago in interviews bad mouthing them all these years later. That dude is real piece of work. Always mad at someone or suing someone.
eh...it's different when you're the lead singer putting YOUR songs out there bud....just a reality. I think we all know Fogerty is a Type-A control freak.....we should also know that no one would've ever heard of CCR without his songs and voice.
@@bloozedaddy He treated his band ,undeservedly like shit, CCR were a singles band, not an album act and good though those records were JF's legacy isn't that significant. Great bands eg. Love. Byrds, The Band etc, all made at least one great album , CCR didn't. make anything that influencial

If you see the footage on RUclips you can hear quite a lot of audience reaction. Definitely more than one person.
I love hearing your voice even when your not singing❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Fogarty is a great guy --an American classic !
1-Shot slinger except for shit talking and blaming other bands for shit and suing people and his band mates and creating drama, but yeah, great guy.
Man , I‘m in tears . This is beyond beautiful, thanks and god bless you
I love this chat you had with Duke:) hes amazing also..thanks for all the great tunes :)
Very cool to see & hear John talk about his Woodstock experience. How many are still around? ✌❤🎸 Peace, Love & RocknRoll

A real history lesson from the man himself!
Thank you John!
Can't believe we'll see three days of musical genius on one stage like that again. I hope so for the sake of future fans, but I don't think so.

Amazing to witness this!

CCR Was One Of The BEST
Come back to south america!!
We pass thru bethel every summer on way to callicoon for campin on the delaware.
John would not let CCR be on the first album from the festival. Cost CCR some momentum but internal discord may have rendered inclusion moot.
HELL YAHHH ,,THATS THE BAYOU UP IN THE BACKGROUND WOODS THAR
