A fun little fact about P-2: On the initial release, it was actually MUCH harder. The blood hallway originally did 50 damage and sent you back to the start (of the blood hallway not the gauntlet) and the room with the idoled Hideous mass and Stalker had a 4th Cerberus. Not only that, but on Violent difficulty, every attack in Sisyphus 2nd phase couldn't be parried anymore, meaning you had to go through the entire phase purely dodging and getting the occasional hit in (which was made worse due to him having infinite stamina in the 2nd phase). And from what I've heard, Hakita's reverting all balance changes for the UKMD difficulty, meaning that P-2 will be back to its OG difficulty
For some reason I kind of liked no parry sisyphus. you had to keep a loop between having enough health to tank while stamina was regening and using stamina efficiently to heal back and reset the loop. But then the "this will hurt attack" being unparryable fucking sucked so maybe not.

I genuinely hope p-3 will be even longer and harder, and a small part of me is hoping that with p-ranking all 3 prime sanctums, you unlock a fourth one that's just a traumatizing gauntlet, where hakita just goes all out.
6:41 pro tip for beating the insurrectionists for future reference, if they’re burning, they take extra damage, so the green nail gun, the fire starter rocket launcher (obviously), and I THINK a few others will burn them, causing them to, essentially, take double-triple damage! Second tip, yknow those red mechs? Gutter-Men I believe. (They’re also called fist-tanks, wonder why ;) ) if you cover them in a bit of fire starter gasoline, they slip after punching, allowing you to parry or punish!
A few hours before this video released, I managed to beat the gauntlet of P-2 with about 13 restarts then beat sisyphus prime without dying. That was the 1st time i beat the whole level in one sitting.
I went from struggling with 80+ restarts on sisyphus and like 3 on the level to p ranking it in 6 minutes flat consistently. This level WILL be your boulder, and hell sometimes I still die to the idoled mindflayer room. This level is like wave 30-39 cybergrind. GG!
👍
for both knuckles and the audience, you can read this if you need help with P-2 or are trying to speedrun it
Advice and strategy when playing P-2:
- For the weezer room (the 4 cerberus room), there's 2 ways to instantly take down all the cerberus
Strat 1: place 2 freezeframe rockets in the middle of the room before summoning cerberi and hit them with a core snipe (this is harder)
Strat 2: place down a sawtrap in the middle and instead of using the railcannon and sharpshooter like knuckles did, core nuking (sniping a core with the malicious railcannon) can kill them all quickly (easier, but slightly slower than the rocket strat)
- For the hall after the virtues (first idoled mindflayer)
Strategy: You can rush to one of the corners where the sentry spawns, use the knuckleblaster to launch them to the blood pits on the sides, and then sharpshooter the swordsmachine and switch shotguns in quick succession, then throw 3 coins into the air in the direction of the schisms and then shoot your last coin normally to kill most or kill all the schisms
- For the cerberus and 2 streetcleaners:
Strategy: cannonball the cerberus by launching the cannonball into it and then slightly delaying your cannonball boost to instantly kill it, then you can slab piercer alt fire the remaining streetcleaners
- For the double mindflayers:
Strategy: set up a sawtrap in the middle or in the line of the swordsmachines and use the sharpshooter and shotgun swapping to kill them as fast as possible, then you can do whatever you want with the sentry, obviously you just need to prioritize the virtues first like usual before the malicious faces. using the drill on mindflayers can stop teleportation so i recommend you save your railcannon charge for that.
- For the double insurrectionist:
Strategy: there's a way to instantly kill both, rocket ride upwards and do not activate them, go to the left side (idk if the right side also works), and angle yourself in the middle of the pit and grab the wall, you can slowly fall down and let the insurrectionist activate and instantly die in the blood pit. the second will always die as long as you stay in there for long enough.
in the case the first insurrectionist doesnt die, save your railcannon charge for the next room and just setup sawblade traps, from experience, these are very effective against insurrectionists.
- For the spaghetti room (blood tunnel)
Strategy: Nuke the virtues into the sides, kill the malicious faces and then finish the sentry off (if the sentry is too threatening you can kill that one first, but i like to kill the maurices first). In the second half, immediately go for the malicious face so that the 2 sentries die immediately by getting launched into the spaghetti tunnel walls. cannonball one of the ceberus and then just kill the other with any means. (dont set up a sawtrap though, and you should probably save your railcannon charge for the next room)
- For the final room
Strategy: Set up a sawtrap on one of the top corners of the room and use what you have to kill the ferryman and 2 swordsmachines. kill the strays and launch an overheat saw in an angle that will hit both sentries that spawn. kill the other two and you can also use a coin and slab piercer alt fire to kill one quickly. You can just kill then normally using shotgun swaps but you are at risk of being hit. When the virtues spawn, just go for them first using overpumps or railcannon shots, then immediately kill the cerberus and get the idol for the HM in the middle. try to stay to the sides to avoid damage, and use whatever means you have to kill all the enemies without risking yourself. then just kill the stalker in the middle when you kill the rest.
- For the panopticon
Strategy: you need to do this for style so basically: launch a sawtrap into it and then shotgun knuckleblaster and ground slam combo for maximum damage, and so that you can get to the sisyphus fight faster.
- For sisyphus:
there are multiple options:
Strategy 1: deadcoin and set up a sawtrap to kill him in 2-3 seconds (very hard to do, needs practice, but is the most effective method of killing sisyphus, speedrunners always use this.)
Strategy 2: setup a sawtrap and railcoinpunch to get him close to phase 2 at the start of the fight (good to learn for newbies, RCP is still easier than deadcoining imo)
Strategy 3: a sawtrap, 4 coins and slab piercer. this can do a decent amount of damage. (least effective, but easiest)
You can't really do much as a new player against sisyphus, but what you can do is learn his callouts. I recommend you try to parry as much as possible. "this will hurt" is very easy to parry so always go for that if you are near sisyphus.
Stay mobile and use SLIDING. do NOT use your dashes, only if necessary.

Why did the “YOU” sound so menacing? 10:30
Fun Fact:
When Sisyphus Prime attacks you, you are dead. this is a subtle reference to the fact you have died in real life.
He is the solar pilar if it was just a guy this also mean he has the same tip as it DO NOT LEAVE THE GROUND
Thank for the reference
I thought what’s so bad about a Idoled stalker, then I saw it blew up but didn’t die, hakita, you are true evil
I genuinely hope p-3 will be even longer and harder, and a small part of me is hoping that with p-ranking all 3 prime sanctums, you unlock a fourth one that's just a traumatizing gauntlet, where hakita just goes all out.
I was there during stream and it was amazing and the fact that you did it so quickly is also incredible just like i wrote you deserve a G fucking G
G fucking G indeed
I love how when he see the flesh panopticon the first thing he says is “square”
15:35 i did NOT know sisyphus could miss
One must imagine Knuckles77 happy...
🪨⬅⬅🏃
Sisyphus is so much my limit that I almost turned on the easier difficulty, but fortunately I gave myself another 100 attempts
Damn, another challenge conquered! Thanks for the video and suffering! Hope you'll continue making content on this game!
Fun fact: Sisyphus says "Be gone!", this is a reference to the fact that he will make you be gone in real life after playing the level
THE UNMATCHED POWER OF THE SUN.
Oh my god your reaction to the stalker was GOLD XD
Great video!
He's experiencing an emotion we call "Pain"
7:34 yeah that was my reaction too
6:41 pro tip for beating the insurrectionists for future reference, if they’re burning, they take extra damage, so the green nail gun, the fire starter rocket launcher (obviously), and I THINK a few others will burn them, causing them to, essentially, take double-triple damage!
Second tip, yknow those red mechs? Gutter-Men I believe. (They’re also called fist-tanks, wonder why ;) ) if you cover them in a bit of fire starter gasoline, they slip after punching, allowing you to parry or punish!
25:08 i feel bad for A_Creative_ he missed the moment :(
as others said, all the pain in P-2 exists because Hakita thought it would be funny
Sisyphus prime is the type of guy when he says
"This Will Hurt"
And actually hurt in real life
This guy is AWESOME
Day 1 sisyphus was HORRENDOUS. He legitimately had zero downtime on his attacks in phase 2, you HAD to be constantly moving or you died.
"but this video would drag on for far too long"
yes please i want longer video
NUH UH
@@Knuckles7712 THE FUCK YOU MEAN NUH UH
A few hours before this video released, I managed to beat the gauntlet of P-2 with about 13 restarts then beat sisyphus prime without dying. That was the 1st time i beat the whole level in one sitting.
Welp, this is indeed a p-2 moment.
25:15 "i regret every second of this get outta here" *throws the coin of doom and destruction*
10:29 is a very universal reaction to killing that stalker
10:33 YOU- YOOOU. (ts was such a relief)
11:22 “You came too far to refuse” ahh moment😭
Fun Fact: When P-2 first came out, Sisyphus was unparriable in phase 2
I went from struggling with 80+ restarts on sisyphus and like 3 on the level to p ranking it in 6 minutes flat consistently. This level WILL be your boulder, and hell sometimes I still die to the idoled mindflayer room. This level is like wave 30-39 cybergrind.
Edit: 5 minutes now, and on brutal no less, 50+ cybergrind also unlocked
Honestly at one point I felt like sisyphus would show up at my home and DESTROY me.
You had a planned out strategy for this entire level, but to be fair I think everyone else that tried to p-rank has except me 😅. Congrats on this well deserved achievement!
This might sound masochistic but I can't wait to see what p-3 has in store
another one from the legend. the algorithm was not as fast this time though lol
yeah pretty slow tbh
The sheer shriek of terror at seeing the 4 sentry targeting lasers on you was gold
That Idol stalker is even worse than me, even I’m terrified of it.
Oh I was very excited to the surprise that would start with the Weezer Room.
Good to know my suffering on P-2 wasn't just me
And to think... Hakita is making harder difficulties than Violent
Fun fact: during some attacks, Sisyphus will say “BE GONE!” This is a subtle nod to how his attacks will blast the player to valhalla, and how he completely deletes the flesh panopticon when he wants to escape. This also talks about a less known fact, where if you ragequit during his fight, he will break through the screen and disintegrate you.
Yall gotta hear me out on Sisyphus prime
Thx bro I didn’t know idols could be broken with knuckle explosions
Minos: punishment because of what machines have done to man
Sisyphus: hungry for war and destruction and decides to eat an appetizer
Average wave 40 Cybergrind difficulty
I love how to p rank p-2 you are basically required to have an understanding of every single weapon in the game except the freeze frame and screwdriver. Those aren’t required.
4:54 i swear thiridwininabinunadime
P-3 is gonna be real fun
