To anyone else also going for p-rank, I suggest using the “return to last checkpoint” button to practice rooms over and over again until you get them without dying 5 or 10 times in a row.
As someone who took 4 months for the P Rank I got to throw out my biggest tip: Take Breaks. I really think this helps calm the soul for these absolutely vile gauntlets and is ultimately what got me the most glorious win ive had in a video game.

If I learned anything from my 6 hours with P-2 the first time, it's that there's basically no point to continuing to play if you're getting exhausted or find yourself in a bad mindset cause it'll only make things worse (unless it's to make a banger RUclips video in which case, send it, otherwise do as I say, not as I do LOL)

I p-ranked p2 standard over 2 weeks of practicing 30 minutes to an hour each day. Really helps to be able to control the time you play. Sometimes I went over an hour in one day if I was really having fun. Now I'm starting on violent p2, fun times.

With the new update and layer 7, the feedbacker got a pretty wicked buff. Parries are waaaay easier. Doesn't sound like much, theres a 3-4 frame leniency window for hitting projectiles earlier and the horizontal/vertical hitbox of the parry is larger. From my experience, you can basically parry projectiles as long as they're in your FOV. Might make this a lil easier.

Congrats man! When I P-ranked it for the first time I swallowed my pride and did it on Standard consistently first and then attempted it on Violent, that helped a lot.

Nice job man! I've only p-ranked p2 on standard, so nice to somebody going a step above where I wouldn't. I will say I'm surprised that the double mindflayer room was the most difficult for you, since I found that pretty casual cybergrind strats that I used were really consistent for it (idk maybe its a different story on violent). The blood tunnel rooms screwed over my p-rank attempts the most just because it was so cramped. I think the best strat for going about p-ranking p2 (for me at least) is just dropping a couple attempts every day and letting the muscle memory build until the run just comes together, taking my time on the amount of attempts I did was definitely important because I found that I would quickly start doing worse because of my frustration.
Another tip for those who try to P-rank P-2: in the blood-tunel room you can time your nuke so that it explodes exactly when Maurices are starting to shoot, deflecting their beans exactly into them and instakilling one or both of them (or at least get them so low on HP that 1-2 shot from shotgun are gonna finish them off) depending on how precise your timing was.
You're awesome, despite some people restarting less than you in the first playthrough (I tried 141 times,) I admire your tenacity fr, well done. I P ranked this cursed level too, it felt amazing, I know the feeling of trying over and over during days to feel like no progress has been made... anyways, congrats!
I just got my p rank recently and my reaction was to just scream les goo with so much excitement that i went light headed, this level is evil and this game is perfection
Congratulations on the p-rank my guy, the redemption arc is complete! A few tips that can make future runs of this level a bit easier, in the hallway you can put a sawtrap before the cerberus to kill the street cleaners. You can also railcoin the cerberus here since the sentry can be killed with just the piercer alt and one or 2 projectile boosts. Additionally you can stick a magnet on one of the mindflayers and rather quickly rocket it to death.
the sentry bodies in the first arena can heal you after you beat the double mindflayer arena (i think you need to get the checkpoint) in the blood tunnels arenas, in the second tunnerl, if you kill the maurices the 2 sentries will go flying to the ceiling and die sisyphus gets easy once you practise him, but the pressure of beating the other part of the level is that high that he becomes harder to beat can't wait for P-3

Well damn, you finally did it! Gj man! I did it as well a couple months back. Never thought I was gonna do it either, never even tried practicing for a P-rank run. But I didn't have internet for many months so I just played Ultrakill and replayed P-2 for fun a lot and then one day just kind of realised: "wait a minute, if I just manage to no-death the mindflayers I can 100% P-rank the level".
Congratulations on finally completing this, probably the best analysis of how to deal with everything I've seen. I will note at 16:25, specifically killing NONE of the virtues is a possible alternative. While all three are alive, they won't enrage, making them possible to avoid by circling, and they'll remain open as healing sources even if all other enemies are sanded (which they often will be) because they're out of the reach of the Stalker -- letting you rocket ride or whiplash to them if you need an emergency health refill.
This video singlehandedly got the strategy part I was missing. I knew I had the mechanical skill it was just execution I was lacking. This was what i needed and I am positive I am going to get this thing. Thank you!
25:12 i think the funny rock hit first and knocked you back just far enough that the blood didnt reach but it must have been by only a few inches (also i dont think the rock bleeds and it was in front of the beam at the moment it was fired, creating about 5ft of space between it and the body) you probably shot like 2 or 3 frames late. insane how precise this game can be at times, but thats part of what makes it so cool
both me and my friend have P-Ranked this level and it was so exciting for both of us, I was watching my friend and, while i was muted in the chat, I was shouting at my monitor "YOU'RE CLOSE! HEAL! DO *insert attack here*!". technically I did it twice, once on standard and then violent, while she just did it on violent, but it was so satisfying for both of us to finally finish this game
also a tip for anyone doing a P-Rank that I don't think dumpy noticed, in the incurrectionist room, right before they spawn you can rocket ride/slam jump up to where they spawn and if you wall slide, they'll slam right into an instadeath floor. it doesn't always work for both, but you can guarantee at least 1 will die if you do that
You're right I didn't know about that, but I wouldn't have done it anyways. You'll notice that I didn't really use any 'cheese' or glitch tactics, I wanted to P-rank the level straight up. I think it's a more valuable experience that way personally, but you do you.
One advice on the final arena on the sentry part, you can actually kill 3/4 of the sentries and leave the last one almost dead. You do this by first shotting a overheat saw in the right position followed by 3 shorts of the sharpshooter, dash to the next side and do a slab charged shot w a eletric ray and then just whiplash and shotgun the last sentry, thats the easiest way to do that part for me.
Coming back to this video just to say, violence rocks! But mostly to say that I'm still an Ultrakill player and I love your content. 25:10 i was really confused here, but the reason he missed is actually HILARIOUS. i analyzed it frame by frame and in like the span of 4 frames, the insurrectionist's boulder slam reduced his hp and knocked him EVER SO SLIGHTLY to the left, causing his railcannon to miss by like 2 inches. so he lost hp and missed the shot. what a way to die. you can kinda see it in the slow motion, but theres a rough explanation. also, it may look like it hit but it actually hit the boulder and it indeed was slightly to the left of the insurrectionist's body
My p-rank was actually quite simple, and it only took half as many tries as p-2 was for me, which was 89. Still took 2 months though. Weezer room: railcoin the cerberus and sawtrap the rest, pretty simple First mindflayer: a pierer shot and railcoin on sentries and swordsmachine followed by a sawtrap does the trick, then finishing off the schisms The streetcleaner tunnel: go straight for the cerberus, preferably cannonball, and let the mindflayer friendly fire the streetcleaners Double mindflayer: saw trap the middle before start and knuckle punch and shotgun the sentry and same for swordsmachines, then whiplash and do the same for virtues, then maurices, the punch the idols, fly into the back wall, parry the homing balls and railcoin the mindflayers Insurrectionists: scrongle one, then cannonball the other Red tunnel: honestly this strategy changed for me a couple times because of patches, but it mainly sticks with railcannoning one virtue, causing the other to environmental kill, then I would knuckle punch and shotgun maurices, then sentry in quick succession, then the second wave was same with sentries then maurice, then hide by the door as I rocket the cerberuses Stalker room: projectile boosting can keep the stalker in air the whole time if you can consantly shotgun swap the whole time, and a sawtrap with that can kill the first wave, then switch to knuckle bust and whiplash to every sentry to punch and shotgun while going around and around, and then p-boosting the mass and cerberuses the whole time, ending a with a ricoshot after getting launched by the last idol Sisyphussy: parrying every attack while shotgun swapping with a railcoin and sawtrap every now and then can kill him in around 20-30 seconds Yeah I use p-boost shotgun swapping a lot in Ultrakill, but it gets the job done very nicely, and now I can p-rank p-2 in 1 or 2 attemps every time I try
I Have P-Ranked EVERY LEVEL in Ultrakill EXCEPT P-2 on Violent (I still have a C on that, but I have a P in Standard), yes including Harmless and Lenient (Which I did after Violent), and this video has motivated me to do it. Wish me Luck.
i just practiced sisyphus & panopticon on harmless until i had a few deathless attempts, and then i p-ranked the whole level on harmless. rinse and repeat for lenient, standard, and then finally violent. was easier than i thought it would be (especially considering the steep difficulty increase from lenient to standard) but eventually you learn to do things (like using an overheat sawblade on the double insurrectionists to get them on fire, or using coins in the last arena to deal with the sentries better). did the same thing thing for p-1 beforehand and it worked quite well.
in the red spinny room my favourite thing to do is to shoot a rocket and whiplash it to launch myself towards the sentry to punch it into hazards as well as killing the virtues before killing the maurice. in the second room you just kill the maurice and the shockwave from its head falling will kill the sentries so all you have to do is kill the cerbs with srs cannon.
i know you probably dont care because you already did it but i found some strategies that trivialize rooms completely, and i wanna share this in case someone else is struggling. for the weezer room, if you charge up an overpump, and then dash into them right before they throw to bait them into attack each other, then overpump, they're all one core nuke from death. this gives you all your sawblades for ferryman for first mindflayer room, dash jumping/slam storaging to between a sentry and the wall, then alt sharpshooter between the sentries and the swordsmachine instakills both sentries and staggers the swordsmachine. i also add a blue railgun in case i dont sharpshoot perfectly and to weaken the swordsmachine further overpump the street cleaners, srs punch instakills the cerb in the mindflayer room, dash jump to behind a swordsmachine and sharpshoot+blue railgun. they stagger and are heavily weakened, and you can srs punch the sentry to instakill it for the second blood tunnel, sharpshooting the maurice and srs punching a cerb gets rid of the whole thing. enraged cerbs can dash off cliffs so you might not even need to fight it you actually dont need to hit the eyes of the panopticon, they just make damage turn into hard damage. sawtrapping and shotgun swapping+ red arm makes the fight go a lot faster. i recommend sawtrapping it after the eyes spawn to decrease the time in which you're actually being attacked. extra notes: srs punching(srs impact+punch) does 12 damage and has half the cooldown of railgun! consider using it more often
Thats incredible. When it first came out, what I did was a) practice and b) I started out at the easiest difficulty. I then kept ramping it up until I finally got to violent. Everything had been relatively easy until then, but when I got to violent I just hit a wall. That was a few weeks after P-2 released, and it's been countless months since then
13:33 Malicious Faces are actually 100% immune to all explosions, so they wouldn't be softened up. Great video though, always nice to see someone improve at something they pour a lot of time into : D
Sorry maybe I should've elaborated so people don't get the wrong idea, I know they're immune to explosions, it sometimes causes their projectiles to friendly fire if you time it right so that would be why they're softened up. I've even instakilled them with a nuke before but I can't seem to get it consistently. Hope that clears up what I meant.
BTW if you're looking for a more consistent oneshot, lining up a sharpshooter revolver and exploding the first projectile is a great way of doing 80-100% of it's health. Just gotta be standing perfectly in line with the other shots & looking right at it

For both the first 2 sentries + swordsmachine combo and the 2 swordsmachines combo i found that hitting them with a slab sharpshooter + electric railcannon combo while they are still lined up melts them pretty reliably.
I used to think that the only actually hard type of games are multiplayer where you have competitors, i was terribly wrong and im glad that terraria and ultrakill humbled me Those 2 turned out to be like my favourite games
one thing i always find useful for the hideous mass is punching (not parrying since thats frame-perfect) the hook off of you, if you look down and punch the hook while its attached to you, itll break and come off (two punches with blue arm and one punch with red arm to break it)
Hey, I don't know if you already know this but just wanted to say that whenever you are hit by the tail harpoon of the hideous mass, you can punch down with the knuckeblaster and it will let go of you
Thanks honestly I don't play much cybergrind and I soap HM whenever I play through 1-3 so I rarely have to deal with this, but whenever I've asked how this works nobody has been able to give me a good answer, the part I was missing is punching down. A bit unintuitive if you ask me, but I appreciate the explanation.
my strategy for all of the rooms: weezer room: start with a nuke, projectile boost + rocket launcher till all the cerberus are dead, lay a saw trap and shoot coins to kill the ferryman the two virtues outside weezer room: one overpump shot kills both the room after: 1. immediately jump to the centre and parry the swordsmachine, charge up a srs cannon and shoot, right after it bounces up, parry it into the swordsmachine (this technique is extremely useful and will come in handy again later) this and a shotgun shot should kill it 2. hit a sentry once with the knuckleblaster and then with an overpump explosion, this oneshots sentries, keep in mind for later, and do this for both sentries before just killing the schisms with fall damage the streetcleaner corridor: remember that srs cannon trick from before? it oneshots cerberus, after you dashjump to the end of the corridor and kill the cerberus, kill both streetcleaners with an overpump explosion, this makes the room much more consistent than what dumpster describes it (notice the reoccurring theme of overpump being really strong) the double mindflayer room of broken dreams and hatred and anguish and despair and and and: 1. immediately dashjump to the end of the room and oneshot the sentry with our favourite srs cannon 2. look behind you and place a saw trap, you need the overheat saw for it to be as effective as possible, if you want more damage, projectile boost, if you want, fistfull of dollar the swordsmachines, if you want, use an overpump explosion, whatever actually kills them 3. immediately bolt for the virtues once they spawn, do not look back, don't hesitate, once a swordsmachine is dead, charge your overpump and look at where they spawn 4. I hope you know how to onecycle a malface by now, do that 5. after that, dont try to parry orbs for a heal, get it from the idols 6. it's two mindflayers, use whatever instakill method you know, or just fight them normally who cares the "double" insurrectionist room 1. just fly over the left pit and the idiot is just gonna fuckin fall in there lmfao, what a dumbass the two corridors that everyone seems to hate: 1. instakill the one malface with the sharpshooter, then kill the malface next to it normally, then get the sentry yadda yadda onto the next corridor 2. dash jump and whiplash the malface, dash to the right while whiplashing to avoid the orbs, kill it, but dont destroy the head, let it fall and the shockwave will send he sentries into the roof 3. dealing with two regular cerberus is easy, dealing with one enraged cerberus while surrounded by a death pit is hard, kill one and save your srs cannon for the other The surprisingly consistent room before sissy: 1. go to the left corner in the back of the room and set a saw trap, fistfull of dollar and overpump work well to finish off the ferryman (if it isn't dead by now) 2. whiplash and kill the strays with the knuckleblaster while charging an overpump, you're about to go on a sentry killing spree 3. do the sentry instakill I told you about earlier, charge your overpump while you whiplash, and just remember to time a dash once they shoot you 4. overpump one virtue, use the railcannon for the other two 5. hit the idol for the hideous mass, and attach a saw trap to the lower part of it's chest, this'll kill it pretty quick and let you multitask the cerberus you all know how to do sisyphus, how about killing the flesh panopticon as fast as possible? 1. dashjump in and throw four coins into the air, shoot it with a slab revolver 2. fp has resistance to the electric railcannon, and malicious railcannon has no use here, shoot it with the screwdriver and attach saws to it 3. shotgun swap while punching with the knuckleblaster that's that, hope one of you find it useful

I found the tunnel of death with 2 street cleaners and a cerb really inconsistent at first, but when I discovered you can just use a sawblade trap to eviscerate both the cerb & street cleaners instantly; combine that with parrying the mindflayer orbs for full hp and it became really consistent
I swear I at one point was setting a saw trap for the streetcleaners and for some reason I stopped doing it, not sure why I never went back to that strat.
you know, let me preface this by saying im not trying to flex. I am not very good at most game, and ULTRAKILL is one of the few i would consider myself pretty alright at, and minos prime and FP, after about 50 hours of playtime took me about 15 attempts total, and sisyphos alone (not the level just the boss) took me about 30 my first time. so does that make me any better than you with 1000? NOT AT ALL! you still did it! would i have at the determination to sit through 300 minutes of sisyphos? not in the slightest i respect the hell out of your death count and think that being proud of your death count is something that should be more common. i think that, as an acheivement, you getting a thousand deaths on p-2 is VASTLY more impressive than having like 50. so i applaud you and your efforts
Im still doing my p rank attempt for this guy, and I can say with confidence, that room with the mindflayers, and sword machines, and virtues, is the hardest part of this whole bloody thing.
W video I need to get better at this level, one tip I was given for the mindflayers is to use the knuckle blast to shoot the projectiles back at them instead of trying to parry each one and that helps so much
I still find parrying more helpful due to the health and stamina refill, at least when your stamina is refilled you can just dodge out of the way of the rest of the projectiles, but hey! Whatever works for you!

I'm gonna be real I didn't get that much hate for that video. I get it, 1000 is a lot, but I did it all live, in one sitting, and I think most people just respected the struggle. I think almost everyone had a tough time with the level at first (maybe not *1000 restarts* tough but still tough) so it just was what it was honestly.

Nice job man! I've only p-ranked p2 on standard, so nice to somebody going a step above where I wouldn't. I will say I'm surprised that the double mindflayer room was the most difficult for you, since I found that pretty casual cybergrind strats that I used were really consistent for it (idk maybe its a different story on violent). The blood tunnel rooms screwed over my p-rank attempts the most just because it was so cramped. I think the best strat for going about p-ranking p2 (for me at least) is just dropping a couple attempts every day and letting the muscle memory build until the run just comes together, taking my time on the amount of attempts I did was definitely important because I found that I would quickly start doing worse because of my frustration.

Another tip for those who try to P-rank P-2: in the blood-tunel room you can time your nuke so that it explodes exactly when Maurices are starting to shoot, deflecting their beans exactly into them and instakilling one or both of them (or at least get them so low on HP that 1-2 shot from shotgun are gonna finish them off) depending on how precise your timing was.

P ranking p2 was an absolutely abysmal experience for me and I am looking forward to never touching that fucking level ever again

A few tips that can make future runs of this level a bit easier, in the hallway you can put a sawtrap before the cerberus to kill the street cleaners. You can also railcoin the cerberus here since the sentry can be killed with just the piercer alt and one or 2 projectile boosts. Additionally you can stick a magnet on one of the mindflayers and rather quickly rocket it to death.
the sentry bodies in the first arena can heal you after you beat the double mindflayer arena (i think you need to get the checkpoint)
in the blood tunnels arenas, in the second tunnerl, if you kill the maurices the 2 sentries will go flying to the ceiling and die
sisyphus gets easy once you practise him, but the pressure of beating the other part of the level is that high that he becomes harder to beat

Well damn, you finally did it! Gj man! I did it as well a couple months back. Never thought I was gonna do it either, never even tried practicing for a P-rank run. But I didn't have internet for many months so I just played Ultrakill and replayed P-2 for fun a lot and then one day just kind of realised: "wait a minute, if I just manage to no-death the mindflayers I can 100% P-rank the level".

Congratulations on finally completing this, probably the best analysis of how to deal with everything I've seen.
I will note at 16:25, specifically killing NONE of the virtues is a possible alternative. While all three are alive, they won't enrage, making them possible to avoid by circling, and they'll remain open as healing sources even if all other enemies are sanded (which they often will be) because they're out of the reach of the Stalker -- letting you rocket ride or whiplash to them if you need an emergency health refill.
Is the thing about them not enraging true? That is super strange, never heard that before.

25:12 i think the funny rock hit first and knocked you back just far enough that the blood didnt reach but it must have been by only a few inches (also i dont think the rock bleeds and it was in front of the beam at the moment it was fired, creating about 5ft of space between it and the body) you probably shot like 2 or 3 frames late. insane how precise this game can be at times, but thats part of what makes it so cool

as someone who has beaten sisyphus parry only and has never p ranked the level, i can confirm you are the goat of the Ultrakill community
both me and my friend have P-Ranked this level and it was so exciting for both of us, I was watching my friend and, while i was muted in the chat, I was shouting at my monitor "YOU'RE CLOSE! HEAL! DO *insert attack here*!". technically I did it twice, once on standard and then violent, while she just did it on violent, but it was so satisfying for both of us to finally finish this game
also a tip for anyone doing a P-Rank that I don't think dumpy noticed, in the incurrectionist room, right before they spawn you can rocket ride/slam jump up to where they spawn and if you wall slide, they'll slam right into an instadeath floor. it doesn't always work for both, but you can guarantee at least 1 will die if you do that
You're right I didn't know about that, but I wouldn't have done it anyways. You'll notice that I didn't really use any 'cheese' or glitch tactics, I wanted to P-rank the level straight up. I think it's a more valuable experience that way personally, but you do you.
One advice on the final arena on the sentry part, you can actually kill 3/4 of the sentries and leave the last one almost dead. You do this by first shotting a overheat saw in the right position followed by 3 shorts of the sharpshooter, dash to the next side and do a slab charged shot w a eletric ray and then just whiplash and shotgun the last sentry, thats the easiest way to do that part for me.
Coming back to this video just to say, violence rocks! But mostly to say that I'm still an Ultrakill player and I love your content. I p-ranked Wait of the World a second time because my save was erased. Did even better and took less attempts to get the p-rank. Thank you, Dumpster man, for running so others like me could walk.

i was really confused here, but the reason he missed is actually HILARIOUS. i analyzed it frame by frame and in like the span of 4 frames, the insurrectionist's boulder slam reduced his hp and knocked him EVER SO SLIGHTLY to the left, causing his railcannon to miss by like 2 inches. so he lost hp and missed the shot. what a way to die.
you can kinda see it in the slow motion, but theres a rough explanation. also, it may look like it hit but it actually hit the boulder and it indeed was slightly to the left of the insurrectionist's body

My p-rank was actually quite simple, and it only took half as many tries as p-2 was for me, which was 89. Still took 2 months though.
Weezer room: railcoin the cerberus and sawtrap the rest, pretty simple
First mindflayer: a pierer shot and railcoin on sentries and swordsmachine followed by a sawtrap does the trick, then finishing off the schisms
The streetcleaner tunnel: go straight for the cerberus, preferably cannonball, and let the mindflayer friendly fire the streetcleaners
Double mindflayer: saw trap the middle before start and knuckle punch and shotgun the sentry and same for swordsmachines, then whiplash and do the same for virtues, then maurices, the punch the idols, fly into the back wall, parry the homing balls and railcoin the mindflayers
Insurrectionists: scrongle one, then cannonball the other
Red tunnel: honestly this strategy changed for me a couple times because of patches, but it mainly sticks with railcannoning one virtue, causing the other to environmental kill, then I would knuckle punch and shotgun maurices, then sentry in quick succession, then the second wave was same with sentries then maurice, then hide by the door as I rocket the cerberuses
Stalker room: projectile boosting can keep the stalker in air the whole time if you can consantly shotgun swap the whole time, and a sawtrap with that can kill the first wave, then switch to knuckle bust and whiplash to every sentry to punch and shotgun while going around and around, and then p-boosting the mass and cerberuses the whole time, ending a with a ricoshot after getting launched by the last idol
Sisyphussy: parrying every attack while shotgun swapping with a railcoin and sawtrap every now and then can kill him in around 20-30 seconds
Yeah I use p-boost shotgun swapping a lot in Ultrakill, but it gets the job done very nicely, and now I can p-rank p-2 in 1 or 2 attemps every time I try
I Have P-Ranked EVERY LEVEL in Ultrakill EXCEPT P-2 on Violent (I still have a C on that, but I have a P in Standard), yes including Harmless and Lenient (Which I did after Violent), and this video has motivated me to do it. Wish me Luck.
i just practiced sisyphus & panopticon on harmless until i had a few deathless attempts, and then i p-ranked the whole level on harmless. rinse and repeat for lenient, standard, and then finally violent. was easier than i thought it would be (especially considering the steep difficulty increase from lenient to standard) but eventually you learn to do things (like using an overheat sawblade on the double insurrectionists to get them on fire, or using coins in the last arena to deal with the sentries better). did the same thing thing for p-1 beforehand and it worked quite well.
in the red spinny room my favourite thing to do is to shoot a rocket and whiplash it to launch myself towards the sentry to punch it into hazards as well as killing the virtues before killing the maurice. in the second room you just kill the maurice and the shockwave from its head falling will kill the sentries so all you have to do is kill the cerbs with srs cannon.
i know you probably dont care because you already did it but i found some strategies that trivialize rooms completely, and i wanna share this in case someone else is struggling.
for the weezer room, if you charge up an overpump, and then dash into them right before they throw to bait them into attack each other, then overpump, they're all one core nuke from death. this gives you all your sawblades for ferryman
for first mindflayer room, dash jumping/slam storaging to between a sentry and the wall, then alt sharpshooter between the sentries and the swordsmachine instakills both sentries and staggers the swordsmachine. i also add a blue railgun in case i dont sharpshoot perfectly and to weaken the swordsmachine further
overpump the street cleaners, srs punch instakills the cerb
in the mindflayer room, dash jump to behind a swordsmachine and sharpshoot+blue railgun. they stagger and are heavily weakened, and you can srs punch the sentry to instakill it
for the second blood tunnel, sharpshooting the maurice and srs punching a cerb gets rid of the whole thing. enraged cerbs can dash off cliffs so you might not even need to fight it
you actually dont need to hit the eyes of the panopticon, they just make damage turn into hard damage. sawtrapping and shotgun swapping+ red arm makes the fight go a lot faster. i recommend sawtrapping it after the eyes spawn to decrease the time in which you're actually being attacked.
extra notes: srs punching(srs impact+punch) does 12 damage and has half the cooldown of railgun! consider using it more often

Thats incredible. When it first came out, what I did was a) practice and b) I started out at the easiest difficulty. I then kept ramping it up until I finally got to violent. Everything had been relatively easy until then, but when I got to violent I just hit a wall. That was a few weeks after P-2 released, and it's been countless months since then

13:33 Malicious Faces are actually 100% immune to all explosions, so they wouldn't be softened up. Great video though, always nice to see someone improve at something they pour a lot of time into : D
Sorry maybe I should've elaborated so people don't get the wrong idea, I know they're immune to explosions, it sometimes causes their projectiles to friendly fire if you time it right so that would be why they're softened up. I've even instakilled them with a nuke before but I can't seem to get it consistently. Hope that clears up what I meant.
BTW if you're looking for a more consistent oneshot, lining up a sharpshooter revolver and exploding the first projectile is a great way of doing 80-100% of it's health. Just gotta be standing perfectly in line with the other shots & looking right at it

For both the first 2 sentries + swordsmachine combo and the 2 swordsmachines combo i found that hitting them with a slab sharpshooter + electric railcannon combo while they are still lined up melts them pretty reliably.
ultrakill is the definition of using gogo gadget pixel reducer

I used to think that the only actually hard type of games are multiplayer where you have competitors, i was terribly wrong and im glad that terraria and ultrakill humbled me
Those 2 turned out to be like my favourite games
one thing i always find useful for the hideous mass is punching (not parrying since thats frame-perfect) the hook off of you, if you look down and punch the hook while its attached to you, itll break and come off (two punches with blue arm and one punch with red arm to break it)

Hey, I don't know if you already know this but just wanted to say that whenever you are hit by the tail harpoon of the hideous mass, you can punch down with the knuckeblaster and it will let go of you
Thanks honestly I don't play much cybergrind and I soap HM whenever I play through 1-3 so I rarely have to deal with this, but whenever I've asked how this works nobody has been able to give me a good answer, the part I was missing is punching down. A bit unintuitive if you ask me, but I appreciate the explanation.

Meanwhile, my crackhead ass managed to P-rank the level on Violent *before* the Sisyphus phase 2 rework, lol
my strategy for all of the rooms:
weezer room: start with a nuke, projectile boost + rocket launcher till all the cerberus are dead, lay a saw trap and shoot coins to kill the ferryman
the two virtues outside weezer room: one overpump shot kills both
the room after:
1. immediately jump to the centre and parry the swordsmachine, charge up a srs cannon and shoot, right after it bounces up, parry it into the swordsmachine (this technique is extremely useful and will come in handy again later) this and a shotgun shot should kill it
2. hit a sentry once with the knuckleblaster and then with an overpump explosion, this oneshots sentries, keep in mind for later, and do this for both sentries before just killing the schisms with fall damage
the streetcleaner corridor:
remember that srs cannon trick from before? it oneshots cerberus, after you dashjump to the end of the corridor and kill the cerberus, kill both streetcleaners with an overpump explosion, this makes the room much more consistent than what dumpster describes it (notice the reoccurring theme of overpump being really strong)
the double mindflayer room of broken dreams and hatred and anguish and despair and and and:
1. immediately dashjump to the end of the room and oneshot the sentry with our favourite srs cannon
2. look behind you and place a saw trap, you need the overheat saw for it to be as effective as possible, if you want more damage, projectile boost, if you want, fistfull of dollar the swordsmachines, if you want, use an overpump explosion, whatever actually kills them
3. immediately bolt for the virtues once they spawn, do not look back, don't hesitate, once a swordsmachine is dead, charge your overpump and look at where they spawn
4. I hope you know how to onecycle a malface by now, do that
5. after that, dont try to parry orbs for a heal, get it from the idols
6. it's two mindflayers, use whatever instakill method you know, or just fight them normally who cares
the "double" insurrectionist room
1. just fly over the left pit and the idiot is just gonna fuckin fall in there lmfao, what a dumbass
the two corridors that everyone seems to hate:
1. instakill the one malface with the sharpshooter, then kill the malface next to it normally, then get the sentry yadda yadda
onto the next corridor
2. dash jump and whiplash the malface, dash to the right while whiplashing to avoid the orbs, kill it, but dont destroy the head, let it fall and the shockwave will send he sentries into the roof
3. dealing with two regular cerberus is easy, dealing with one enraged cerberus while surrounded by a death pit is hard, kill one and save your srs cannon for the other
The surprisingly consistent room before sissy:
1. go to the left corner in the back of the room and set a saw trap, fistfull of dollar and overpump work well to finish off the ferryman (if it isn't dead by now)
2. whiplash and kill the strays with the knuckleblaster while charging an overpump, you're about to go on a sentry killing spree
3. do the sentry instakill I told you about earlier, charge your overpump while you whiplash, and just remember to time a dash once they shoot you
4. overpump one virtue, use the railcannon for the other two
5. hit the idol for the hideous mass, and attach a saw trap to the lower part of it's chest, this'll kill it pretty quick and let you multitask the cerberus
you all know how to do sisyphus, how about killing the flesh panopticon as fast as possible?
1. dashjump in and throw four coins into the air, shoot it with a slab revolver
2. fp has resistance to the electric railcannon, and malicious railcannon has no use here, shoot it with the screwdriver and attach saws to it
3. shotgun swap while punching with the knuckleblaster
that's that, hope one of you find it useful
a p-rank for this level is torture. the amount of things you need to remember becomes unfair. congrats on getting this mr dumpy. can't wait for you to do this as well as p-3 on ultrakill must die when they come out.

I found the tunnel of death with 2 street cleaners and a cerb really inconsistent at first, but when I discovered you can just use a sawblade trap to eviscerate both the cerb & street cleaners instantly; combine that with parrying the mindflayer orbs for full hp and it became really consistent
I swear I at one point was setting a saw trap for the streetcleaners and for some reason I stopped doing it, not sure why I never went back to that strat.
you know, let me preface this by saying im not trying to flex. I am not very good at most game, and ULTRAKILL is one of the few i would consider myself pretty alright at, and minos prime and FP, after about 50 hours of playtime took me about 15 attempts total, and sisyphos alone (not the level just the boss) took me about 30 my first time. so does that make me any better than you with 1000? NOT AT ALL! you still did it! would i have at the determination to sit through 300 minutes of sisyphos? not in the slightest i respect the hell out of your death count and think that being proud of your death count is something that should be more common. i think that, as an acheivement, you getting a thousand deaths on p-2 is VASTLY more impressive than having like 50. so i applaud you and your efforts

Im still doing my p rank attempt for this guy, and I can say with confidence, that room with the mindflayers, and sword machines, and virtues, is the hardest part of this whole bloody thing.

W video I need to get better at this level, one tip I was given for the mindflayers is to use the knuckle blast to shoot the projectiles back at them instead of trying to parry each one and that helps so much
I still find parrying more helpful due to the health and stamina refill, at least when your stamina is refilled you can just dodge out of the way of the rest of the projectiles, but hey! Whatever works for you!

I'm gonna be real I didn't get that much hate for that video. I get it, 1000 is a lot, but I did it all live, in one sitting, and I think most people just respected the struggle. I think almost everyone had a tough time with the level at first (maybe not *1000 restarts* tough but still tough) so it just was what it was honestly.
