Why not just use a toggle instead of using two separate shortcuts?
Nice Idea. You can also simply open freeform and use the tripple powerbutton to start guided access. Messages etc. will not appear and you can focus on your notes taking…

I agree. Shortcuts are easy to dismiss, but when you see them used like this, you realise the potential of them.
I've been using the iPhone and iPad in grayscale for years, and it's really helpful.
There are so many digital distractions today that we all need reminding to keep it simple and streamlined. Birds have to get rid of all their sh*t to be able to soar. We are no different.
I really like this idea. I’m new to using Focus modes though. Does anyone know of a way to customize the focus modes to the point to where you just tap a shortcut and it automatically go into that mode. As in it goes straight into the apps you assign for that mode. If that can even be done. Like in Chris’ case he uses Freeform for his “writing”. Can a shortcut be created where it would go into Freeform and get the grayscale look, apps and all, with just one tap? Hope y’all get my idea lol.

Great video, definitely will take for Freeform course. On the R2, I'm thinking about selling it, I failed to appreciate the whole focus process by adding another gadget to my already numerous list. The iPad with the tools you just shared, and the Freeform app is more than capable and after you are done with the work thing, it's a great media consuming device.
Interesting. I’m thinking I could set up my old iPad that way. Then I realized it may be too old for an iPencil. Guess I’ll ask chat GPT about it.
Also, I sing in a chorus and find that writing out the lyrics is the best way to memorize them.

The idea wasn’t to use both devices, the Remarkable was there to show that you can utilize your iPad in a manner maybe you hadn’t thought of before, and why you might want to. Not sure Remarkable benefited as much as Apple??

When is the new iPad coming out, I’m so close to just buying the M2 one, I truly don’t care for oled or a side front camera. I can just buy an 50$ camera attachment can’t I? I’m gonna give the new iPad another week or 2.
