Listen, just like Mathew's Mom said,it took me a whole lot of trying before I got the hang of "Don't use NO MATTER WHAT"..😏 it took me more like 15 years,to get this 11 😆 but,I kept trying, even when I messed up,and I was so lucky to have Folks that wanted to help me.

I was in meth psychosis about a year and a half ago. I was hospitalized for over a week. It was the most terrifying thing I’ve ever experienced, and even though I’m incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to mental health/drugs, it was so real to me that nobody could convince me it was psychosis. At one point I said to my mom, “I think I’m in psychosis.” But the hallucinations and delusions were so realistic that I dismissed that idea and went back to thinking my life was in very real danger.
Thankfully I was treated successfully in the psych ward, and I have not used meth since then.
The two things that make me pause with this case, though, are the etchings in his chest and the dealer details.
I hope his family finds the answers they need to heal. I can’t imagine what they’re going through. ❤

I have been around this myself. I believe he was up for several days and in meth psychosis. He veered off into the woods to "hide" from who he thoughts was chasing him and unfortunately in those woods is where he finally crashed and crashed hard. He was not dressed for the weather and succumbed to hypothermia.
It a sad and tragic story, but there was no foul play here.
May he rest in peace and I hope his family can heal and move forward. I'm sorry for there loss.

How incredibly sad. I have a son that has addiction issues and has these episodes. But without proper help to get a diagnosis it’s impossible to know if it’s the drugs or another issue. It’s difficult to convince someone so sick that they need help. My son is now 30 and I have spent years preparing myself for his death. It tears a family apart. My prayers to his mama and the rest of his family ❤️

I appreciate that Matthew's mum is keeping an open mind: very often grief and disbelief lead family members into a blind spot. That being said, as she perfectly said herself, it's got to make sense! Praying for a resolution. Matthew was far too young to die, either by accident or because of foul play. 💔💔💔

My favourite person had been an h-addict for many, many years when i met him. Everybody (including him) told me to run, but i stayed and he is sober for three years now. I have a very soft spot for addicts, they usually are the kindest people who just simply cannot handle the brutality of reality.

I can attest to the fact that ive been followed and stalked by certain individuals not because i owed them money, but because i knew information about their activities that could get them in trouble. This is what i think Matt was thinking when he told his mom that he didnt owe anyone money. It was more kf the fact that he fell out of favor with some dealers or old freinds etc. This was like 5 to 6 people following me at a time when i was homeless and i was legitimately scared for my life. I was using substances at the time, and it didnt have anything to do with money at that instance.
So i can understand why he was paranoid because i was for at least 6 months after the fact. When something like that happens to you(especially being jumped) and also using on top of that. Well its a bit of both psychosis and the very real probability that you could be hurt.
My theory is maybe he saw someone around by his house when he was getting his phone like a car that was similar to someone he was worried about. And that totally triggered something in him that scared him so badly (real or imagined) that his behavior just totally took a nose dive.
    Rest in peace Matt.
And thank you John for your hard work as always.

As a mother of a grown child, my heart breaks for Sarah! I know where my daughter is even though she’s hours away, and the thought of a missing child is terrifying! Add the drug use, and then knowing your child died so long ago, but not knowing the exact circumstances turns this into something truly evil. Sarah is doing everything right, from moving for her sanity to demanding answers. God bless this woman!❤❤🙏

Also, no offense, but this alleged jumping incident months before he went missing sounds like it could have also been the result of his drug use. The fact that he posted a video on Facebook that night says he wasn’t that worried about the people who allegedly jumped him possibly hurting his family or himself again. I had an ex who would do bizarre things when in psychosis and would post concerning videos of himself online, he would constantly make statements like people were out to get him or that certain people had done indescribable things to him, often deleting them later when he stabilized. Not saying that’s for sure what happened here, but it sounds like it could be a possibility.

There certainly was a clear and present danger to him that night and that was hypothermia. If he is exhausted from a psychotic state and was out there without shoes or warm clothes he could certainly have succumbed to the cold.

It is definitely possible that Matthew was in the midst of a psychotic break, drug induced or otherwise, and if that happened, the deepest tragedy is that he did not find safety to recover from that. It sounds like there were many who would have offered him help. Just unfortunate.

    • @Paa375
      @Paa375 4 месяца назад +1

The problem with your statement is that it is really hard to find help out there he is doing drugs and possibly have some mental illness those two are very hard and unfortunately make the situation very very hard for the person to function in society. This young man needed to be helped with his drugs and his mental health as well that takes a lot of people and people that have the time to do it. For anyone who is struggling with mental illness it could take up to two years to just and see someone with drugs that process maybe a little quicker I don’t know much about these kinds of drugs so I can’t say but the help that may be out there it’s very difficult to get and it’s such a shame because so many young people like this boy are suffering every single day and no one’s helping them

It was Bad. 1 night they took the train back n forth for HOURS n then showed up knocking on the dpor at midnight with Bags packed n i was like Dude you can't stay here they just turned around and went home. It doesn't necessarily have to have been psychosis. Beliefs are, more often than not, established without first person involvement. The blood around the mouth kinda says he was already hit in the face, and if somebody is close enough to hit you, they are close enough to say they already murdered your family because of you. He clearly believed it was a credible threat since he kept telling everybody they would come after his family.
