  • Think of portable car lifts as an investment. Investment in your safety, in your health (easier on your back, knees and shoulders) and in productivity.
There are a variety of models to choose from so even if you have the smallest of garages there is a model to suit your needs.
For more information on the portable lifts in this video go to: fitstopgarage.c...

QUICKJACK WINS for DIY REPAIRS without a garage. Find empty field somewhere, assemble quickjack, attach 12V battery power, car goes up with remote aid. DONE. Fix your car quick, remote back down, disassemble the kit, put into your car. Go home and store system under your bed. SORTED. Save cash for every car you will buy and eventually fix yourself in the future. Your mom, dad, or grandma or granddad, friends, strangers have cars issues and ask you for help - SIMPLE go there and QUICK JACK their car up - earn extra on the side.

I have a Quickjack and love this thing! I live in Northwest PA and do my own repairs I use my garage to park in. I don't want to park over a floor lift every day and have the road salt rust my jack nor do I want to have to park between the posts of a post lift. I store my Quickjack standing up against the wall. I can't do that with most other jacks. The Quickjack made the perfect sense to me for it's portability.

I have a quick jack, love it. Fits my three Porsches perfectly, and makes oil changes and other basic maintenance easy. Very stable but your still on your back. Perfect if your garage is too low for a lift. Plus you can use it in the driveway or take it to a friends house, in a pickup if needed.

Why is it that everyone that puts up a video thinks it has to be a music video? MTV went out in the 1990s.
If you're comparing things, talk. Kill the lame music.

I rather have a two post lift for full height but my garage is too low. For now I'm using two floor jacks, one on each side with four jack stands. My third floor jack is for dropping something heavy under the car or for support. Really not too bad using two floor jacks at the same time, fast enough for now.

I like scissor jacks for a home garage but only if you have full access to the middle of a car without bars/braces in the way.

I liked this video as it brought together many lifts into one place to view and study. Great Job. Fit Stop Garage...In your opinion only...No product endorsement here...Which one is really worth my cash?

Jim, not an easy question to answer.
There is a lot of things to take into consideration.
If you are looking to upgrade from jack and stands the QuickJack would be a great choice.
It is probably the most versatile portable lift here. And if you decide you need a lift with more height later, the QuickJack still makes a perfect second lift.
Here is a very broad idea of what I think each lift excells in:
      Mechanical duties - MaxJax
Storage & Mechanical duties - Triumph
      Vehicle restoration - Danmar Sx
Detailing & general maintainence - Bendpak LR
That said....Any car lift is an asset.
It's not a clear answer to your question but only you know what you want the lift for.
      Thanks for watching

Honestly the Triumph looks more like what you want if you work on your cars. Like if you want to put Nitrous Oxide or wanna do transmission/engine swaps. Quick Jack seems more for your quick fixes.

IMHO I never like any of these portable car lifts they all lift the car from the sides.
I would love to see one made the lifts the car from the front and back leaving the sides open
for getting under the car or for working on the brakes, and etc.

How the hell is the maxjax portable where ever you want to use it you have to pre drill the floor

  • @johnbower
    @johnbower 7 лет назад

Yes It's a good idea, but you need to point out that the floor has to be very very flat in the area where the four feet stand ( that is all four feet have to be on the same plain as each other), or the four up and down sliders will be binding on the posts, because the four posts won't be parallel with each other, so it's not a lift you can move about and use anywhere is it ?.

I'm sorry but the future is in a ramp car trailer that you drive up your car on. Then you raise the trailer so you can work on your car.

Google will find you any number of failed single post lifts pulling their anchor bolts out of the floor. Everything from inserts coming out to a whole section of the floor breaking. The average garage floor is no more than 2" of concrete. If there is no stabilizing bar across the top or some other method of preventing weight of vehicle from torquing the bottom plate to concrete joint you're taking your life in your hands getting under there. The disclaimer literature tells the story; "we are not responsible for.....anything or everything!"

Have you checked out the Eagle Equipment MOBILEMAN? It's on a pallet jack base, it's a portable single-column with 6,000 capacity. it has a 6' lifting height. They have some Scratch and dent models for $2k, which is $350 off their regular selling price. www.eagleequip.com/product/MOBILEMAN-LPX.html

and portable and having to bolt it to the floor seems.. giant pain... there are jacks simliar to that that do not require bolting to the floor. the last two seem... way less portable and not really for pros either... i wouldn't have used either in my shop..
