Not sure how he'd fare as a pro. James Piccoli did beat him on the biggest KOM in Montreal and seems to be just average on the pro tour. His FTP is definitely world class, but other pros too and can produce it after very long rides which chances are he can't do it. His job is a much much better bet for his family.

(I have both a SuperSix HiMod and a Synapse HiMod... and love the both.) If you keep your eyes open you can find these bikes used at very affordable prices. I found my SuperSix HiMod with Full Dura Ace 9000 used for about $600... but it did not have carbon wheels... just some super nice Ksyrium SL's running tubeless... and a crank-based power meter. It was about 15 lbs when I bought it.

@16:20 what you said is what I've felt. Go out and ride your bike, go out and challenge your body and it will get stronger. All this precise training methods almost suggest that without them you cannot improve, this is BS. If your always pushing your current form, you'll improve. You flatline when you normalize. If your going x fast and its easier than last time, go faster. If your legs start burning but you have more breath, try and keep those legs burning without burning out yourself! Learn yourself and prosper! You don't need a watt meter or anything else, just a brain and awareness. Being light as shit helps too haha

Here I am 6'4" 205 lean enduro dude, former XC x 8 years breathing hard sitting down watching him stand out of saddle and crush inclines and still holding conversation....LOL. Dude is a genetic freak, and obviously works hard at his craft. KUDOS.

6kg rim brake Cannondale, damn that’s fire. You rarely see a bike under 7.5kg these days with the disc brake technology

Seems pretty humble. 52kg and 320watt FTP is pretty huge - yep over 6w/kg. I also noticed the rim brakes.

Funny thing was I was checking out some local riders (now overseas)today having down the recent Ventoux race to see how their power was, and did see his name on one of the top segments. It stuck out as only the first 2riders on the leaderboard rode on different days to when the pro's went through on the first page. And I thought...hmmm wonder who that was, and why I hadn't heard of him? And then I came across this, so now I know!

52kgs with that sort of power for that kind of duration...no career in cycling. What an absolute hero, and great he is just having fun and exploring, just happens to be pretty handy when things get steep!
