@@GuitarJosh161The episode really made Jecki my favourite character only to kill her off 😭 But I also understand why they had to kill her for the story. I would like an AU novel going over what she could have become if she didn't die here.
yeah it's only a movie. Didn't happen in real life, but assuming this was even supposed to be realistic, would make sense not to kill her since she's cute and young and no one likes to hurt kids (unless absolutely necessary). then again it's not real, so who knows what the director had in mind whole thing is just silly
She did well to hold her own and even go on the offensive, she might of one or survived if the sith hadn't used that dirty trick with the splitting lightsaber.
Jecki did so great because she used her anger! After her friends were all killed you could see and hear her using her anger, and she took it to another level
I also won't stand for the anger about him calling himself 'Sith'. He called HIMSELF Sith. This is a show of arrogance, not proof that he is one. Even the Ki Adi-Mundi issue can be covered by the fact this was a claim, not proof. Anyone can claim themselves as anything, even if it's not true. Let's also assume the big bad is probably a liar, too. Considering he killed almost everyone that heard, and can repeat his claim back to the council, it's not too far-fetched to assume his claim will be forgotten by Anakin's Era.
Qimir said “you would call me a Sith.” He did not say “I am a Sith.” If a racist admits others would call him a Nazi, would you believe he really is an actual Nazi who wears an SS uniform? The High Republic novels and comics introduce dozens of powerful Force religious cults, groups, and covens. They practice either the Force or the dark side. Some do fight like Jedi at times just to fight an actual Jedi. It’s why the Jedi did not immediately identify Mae or Qimir as a Sith. Heck, there was a literal Force cult convention and pilgrimage on Jedha (The Jerusalem of Star Wars).
@@ryankwon8785 I have to admit that I’d held a very similar view of how this claim of being a Sith would be overlooked. I think that the most powerful argument that the Jedi could make against Qimir and Mae being Sith could be summed up with a few points. First being that the Ancient Sith would not ordinarily stand for long term plans that involve hiding and passing the torch for some future Sith Lord to succeed, as that would imply a sense of selfless sacrifice for a greater caused whereas the Sith of old were all about obtaining power for themselves and clinging to it as long as possible. The Rule of Two (or Banite) Sith are so different from the Sith of the Galactic Dark Age and further beyond that without any prior knowledge they could appear as totally different. Second begin that Mae is from a coven of Force Witches and holds a grudge against the Jedi. It could be argued that a member of this coven or (if Qimir is specifically described to the Jedi Council in such a way that precludes this) a similar darkside affiliated cult or tribe took her in due to having a shared interest in being free of Jedi influence, and that any claim of being Sith could be written off as an attempt to intimidate or disrupt the Jedi. While my expectations don’t lead towards this, another possibility could be that the Jedi will find something that would explain Qimir and Mae’s self proclaimed affiliation with the Sith, like a Sith Holocron or some ancient texts that teach the ways of the Sith. This could help to further put to rest any worries the Jedi have of a legitimate Sith resurgence and make it appear as if a few resentful individuals attempted and failed to resurrect the Sith religion by adopting it under their own volition. In short, I don’t believe everyone who learns of this Sith actually needs to die. The claim simply needs to be discredited enough that any who persist in arguing that the Sith have returned would appear to be deluded or generally unreliable.
yeah, but he is still a Sith anyway. He said that just to confuse Sol and to be mischievous. We know he is a Sith because the series was marketed as a Sith series. The director said it would show, eventually, how the Sith infiltrated the Senate and how Yoda found out about the Rule of Two. The director also said the Acolyte was the apprentice to the Sith Apprentice, before they took down their master. Once the Sith Apprentice killed the master (and thus became the master), the Acolyte would be 'promoted' to Sith Apprentice. Like Ventress was to Dooku. In Legends, Maul was also an Acolyte for a while, cause Sidious was still officially the Sith Apprentice while training him, since Plagueis was still alive.
I think Jecki would have been a great Jedi Knight and Master even if she'd had the chance, never trained to fight with two lightsabres at once she still managed to fight Qimir back so hard he had to really work to hold her off. But, of course, the Sith do not fight "fair"...
There is no way he is the Sith Lord. If this really is 100 years before TPM, then Darth Tanebrous should be the reigning dark lord. Plagueis should be starting his apprenticeship by now. He is most likely an acolyte himself, but not a Sith of the Bane lineage.
qimir reminds me of bidam from the korean tv show queen seondeok (2009) like post-coronation seondeok when he is a bad guy. his fighting style reminds me of his.
Rank doesn’t indicate power. Anakin has a Knight was far superior to most council members. Ahsoka as a padawan already has feats greater to many masters and a few councillors for example.
@@Freddy3763 Agreed. Rank indicates wisdom and overall knowledge. Anakin took down many, many masters (I know, he's 'different'). We also only know that one of them is a master - Sol, and he didn't beat him. They essentially stalemated.

easily the best part of the episode. what a tragic waste of Dafne Keen man, such a great actress given such a small role and killed off after her best scene yet
Not a tragic waste at all. Her talents were well highlighted and her character was great. We finally get genuine stakes to fights and the lethality of dark side users and you want to whine and call it a waste….
@@bleeblahbloop5905 Nope @CordlessJet549 is correct. They bring in top actresses like Carrie-Anne Moss and Dafne Keen just to kill them off? WTF is the point? Jecki duel wielding the lightsabers gave me serious Ahsoka vibes with her fighting style
I agree with you,
100%, it brought back memories of the clone wars.
it gave me force unleashed 2 starkiller vibes as well
She could've become a serious duelist. 😢
I had Serra Keto vibes instead
For a padawan she did so well
Yeah i can’t deny this had prequel energy and i mean that with the highest praise

this is how Ahsoka fighting style should’ve looked like in live action lol

unfortunately the prosthetic that was used for her head really hindered the actress to do the lightsaber scenes
the problem is that I don’t see non prosthetic characters moving like this in Ahsokas show 💀

This was her trial.
