Right on! To use myself as an example, I am a very powerful woman by my fear robs me of that power. My blood pressure sometimes goes over 300 when I think about my children. The pain is so intense that I ignore dealing with my fears. When I deal with my fears by journaling or by the Emotion Code, it goes down. The doctor wants to put me on BP medicine. I need to deal with my fears but, of course, I am afraid that my BP will go sky high. Thanks for all you do, the encouragement you give if so helpful.
You might find some progress with titrating and pendulating, there are guides online on how to use these methods with strong fears. Also, Tara Brach's talks on radical acceptance (she has a book with that title, too) have been helpful for my own approach in a meta-cognitive way. When my beliefs around feelings changed, they became so much easier to work with! For myself, I needed to review the scientific evidence to support the "new" beliefs, before I could allow myself to even start entertaining the idea. 😂 🤷🏻♀️
