you all probably dont give a damn but does someone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my account password. I appreciate any help you can give me
@Kaysen Casen thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
At first i did not agree but then i realized that when i got my senton i went a full turn out on each Tie rod to give the car some toe-in before i even drove it because it just seemed a little toed out. so easy fix. now it straight lines like a demon.
I have both the senton and the Slash, the senton just needs to be broke in a little bit and it starts to control a little better and not wash out as much. I totally agree the slash is easier to handle.
That’s the difference between the two the senton suspension is loose for straight off-road where the slash has a more firmer suspension out the box so it can do duo off and on plus the tires they both carries slash has firm which would slide on black top and off road while the Senton soft compound which more grip on black top and that’s where you’re going to have a lot of body roll
I have a slash 4x4 and I'll never forget when I just got it and was running at a local track, another guy had an Axial trophy truck that was running rings around me. His truck floated level over the jumps and tracked straight. I was all over the place and not flying straight. I thought it was just me until he let me drive the Axial! I was instantly faster, staying on the track and flying straight! I felt a little sick and realized that my slash is more of a basher and with paddle tires on it, man can it climb a hill! 🙂
A lot of variables to consider in this comparison: tires, suspension, slipper clutch, diffs. Trying to get all these settings equal would be tough. Good closing remark Mark on "Out of the box" settings!
All brands are good, whatever puts a smile on your face is what matters. Yes you can have favorites but there toys. I love how the slash 4x4 has a learning curve and easy to drift.
The slash takes the win drive and landing but how long has it been around to be refined yrs. A few more up dates and they Will be the same. The big rocks on point. Yes I have driven both small mods fixes both cars bad sides. Nice video
Got about 4 good bash sessions in with my Senton before the front bearing in the motor blew up. Prior to that there were no handling issues and zero breaks which surprised me a bit because i crashed the hell out of that sob. Minus the motor issue the Senton is a beast.
My first car was a 2wd Slash VXL. I gave it to my daughter and I now have a Rustler 4x4 VXL and an Arrma Typhon 6s. Although the Rustler and Typhon are wicked awesome there is something about the Slash. I think I have had more fun with the Slash 2wd than any other car.
Looks like the suspension setup out of the box might have to do a lot with it. Looks like the slash suspension is absorbing some of the initial torque on the hit. Could be wrong as well. Great vid once again 👏👍
If you want handling and performance from a small tire SCT, use 2S not 3S. If you don't care about control and straight line speed or bashing is the objective then by all means 3S.
Coming from a slash 4x4 lcg owner to now arrma typhon owner I can tell you the stock Stx2 that comes with the arrma is terrible and has huge input lag. I thought my typhon handled like crap until I switched over to a TQi in my arrma and it was a day and night difference. My wife has the older arrma granite and it came with the way better tactic radio and the difference was also night and day. I think the biggest issue was horizon throwing in the crappy STX2's in the arrmas.
how do u get the traxxas radio to calibrate your throttle and steering i turn my wheel on radio and the front wheels trurn but my truck goes forward and same when i turn left it goes backwards
The one thing Traxxas needs to do with the Velineon system is include an ESC fan and atleast a passive heatsink for the motor. There's soooo many people that blow these systems up from running them on 3S and not knowing any better.
My 4x4 was completely all over the place 😮. I had gotten the 30 mph. But I turned it in to something better than the ultimate. Sway bars front and back, And then the chassis brace! Spectrum system😮 mine is a complete rocket! 🚀 The chassis twisting was horrible.... It would never stay on the ground, He would either spin out or flip over! Now it does a complete straight line without touching the steering. If you're ever in Jersey I will gladly let you rip it❤
One little tip to make a car track straighter is to give the wheels (especially the rear wheels) some toe in. Obviously this will make the tires wear a little bit more but it should help keep the cars straight.
@@reyb6094 Knowing him he set up the Senton suspension loose and then cranked the slipper all the way down just because he's the biggest Traxxas fanboy on here lol..And I'm sure he put the speed pinion in the slash and it's still pretty slow lol
Senton has a little more top end but is not nearly as refined/stable/controllable without TSM like the Slash has. That's why I just purchased a used Slash Ultimate. These are off-road scale versions of their 1:1 counterparts designed for compact/slightly loose dirt tracks, not on-road speed runs, 20 foot jumps at the skate park or flips off a cliff.
Rear tire tread pattern and viscosity of rear diff fluid may also be factors...slipper setting and tire tread pattern need to match ur driving surface 💯
First short course 4x4 I bought was the Senton about a month ago. The only time my rolls is in the thick grass of my field when trying to make a hard left turn under full speed. Took it to a park the other day and did not roll it once, and have not made any mods to it yet. Finally got my Slash 2wd to run with my sons Bandit's, but have not taken it out yet. Will be looking forward to seeing what you find out. I am thinking i am going to put at least one pre-load in the rear end of the Senton to see if that stops the full speed turn roll as much. If you or anyone else has any suggetions, I am all ears as i am new to this level of RC.
Just took the Slash out for its first run, of course only the 2wd version. Rolled it a few times, so my issue seems to inexperienced driver. Going to take it to the park that has shorter grass and test it.
I have a 2wd brushless slash that was upgraded from a brushed truck. It is a great basher WHEN it's actually working. I just got a brushless senton 4x4, and out of the box I feel like it drives better than my slash. That being said, I find it very irritating when the rear end washes out for no obvious reason... I may throw some new in bag proline SC tires on the senton, and a spare tsm receiver...
@@glock1inthetop45 Juan, I did test it a few days after the post. It was so heavy for that senton, nothing broke, but it handled horribly. I stuck a mambaX 2400 kv in it and made it into a typhon keeping the senton tires. It’s a beast now! I have the same issues with my XMAXX’s, coke can motors and heavy belted tires. Handles horrible. And it’s heavy. Can pull a truck but to fast, breaks every run. How does yours handle?
@@SpeedSyko tbh bro the added weight makes it handle better still spins out now and then but not so much like when I first got it on 6s tho it's definitely a beast and a handful I tweaked with the alignment tho stock is terrible can't even go straight
Mark How about the tires , as I don’t own a senton so I’m not sure if the tires have as much or less grip or a different compound to make it more uncontrollable. Just a thought as I don’t know. Stay and Play Safe !! 👊✌️
So if they wear much faster do you think it might be because they have a little different compound in them that also makes them stiffer and more slippery. I’m just trying to figure out why the Senton would act the way it does, because in your vid it seemed to act more like a 2wd and not a 4x4 so I was thinking tires, but I guess you’d know because you have them both and I’m guessing if their both setup sorta the same a weight the same then tires might have a part to play in the way it acts, but I guess with more testing you’ll let us know your findings ! Keep up the Great Work and Stay and Play Safe !! 👊✌️
I elminated my slipper clutch on the slash as i had too much headache with it. But i agree the slash is easier to drive than the senton, i too have experienced both and i like the slash offers much more tuning options to go bonkers lol.
I have a slash ultimate and Losi tenacity tt pro. Gonna get my brothers the slash VXL 4x4 with some aluminum shock caps and a 2 battery spektrum start battery combo because my slash ultimate has been extremely durable and I run it hard so I feel they will have a reliable time running them and if they break anything parts availability
I kinda think it's the Apple vs Android you know. Apple really controls the experience, Android can be a free for all depending on the maker. I prefer Apple and iOS but love Arrma. Lots more freedom to do what you want, how you want. My First Truck was a 4X2 Slash then we put a brushless in it and I thought I was King of the World! Then I went to get a V1 ERevo at Christmas 18 and the last one walked out the door as we walked in. I saw that 1/5 Talion sitting there 70MPH+, SOLD!!!!! Never looked back have 4 now and love them. Our Son has my Slash and Our Son in Law is a total Traxxas Guy so we're loyal to our brands. But like anything there's a curve, "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" LOL. Arrma is serious power and they sit the punch higher for maximum bang. Great Video again.
I was wondering what your opinion would be, due to me having both of these as well. I agree the slash is easier to drive, slightly. The transmitter and reciever are horrible on the Senton. Also, it is nearly useless is gravel, or anywhere a small rock can get in the bellcranks. It is a serious issue for me, because that is where I run trucks most of the time. Try it, it is something new people, or anyone considering a Senton should be aware of. It could potentially ruin a new person's experience. I would never recommend it, unless you are willing to do some upgrades, or fixing factory issues, out of the box. The Senton is cheaper. I guess it depends on the use and operator.
Why is it not fair for Traxxas to have Tsm enabled if that's how it comes out of the box? Arrma could do something similar it it really give Traxxas the edge. Love the videos! Keep it up!
Please Mark could you do a video ''how to use the Traxxas Link'' I have problem to add cars on my transmitter. No clear video or instruction manual from Traxxas! Excuse my english.. I am a french speaking person! Thanks.
I’m new to rc and have a slash 4x4 vxl. My rear tires are toed in and I can not seem to figure out how to fix it. I know how to do the camber and adjust all the front but there is no adjustment for toe on rear please help!!!!!
So I would say out the box yes the slash is easier to drive? But the with the $60 bucks you save on the senton with a new set of tires I bought for $35 it sorta levels out the playing field. Both are awesome rcs!!!!

3200kv motor of the senton off a 50c rated battery vs 3500kv motor on the slash off a 25c rated battery is gonna have a difference in torque. The slash tires are softer and better than the senton tires IMO. I've had both vehicles and the stock senton tires were poop. After throwing trenchers on the senton, it would hook up so much that it would traction roll...I gotta admit, as a basher, it was funner with low traction tires power sliding everywhere. I think the biggest difference in the handling characteristics is the fact that the slash comes with just a dab of grease in the rear dif whereas the senton comes with 10k oil in the rear dif. The traxxas is definitely a more newb friendly truck whereas the senton is a bit more defined to be a bash specific truck. I've owned both for a long time and I gotta admit, traxxas takes the win, but only because they have an abundant aftermarket support for it to upgrade the durability. I kept breaking the senton chassis and that got old pretty quick. But my sct410.3 is better than both. 😁
Great Video, I wonder if the Senton is harder to control because it definitely faster out of the box?? But either way these are off road cars so a off road bash would be better to compare.... Not on slightly wet concrete IJS Appreciate ya
Traxxas tires are a funky compound that wears out fast, but doesn't really have any grip to me. The Senton just has hard compound tires that don't really grip on pavement at all
Why is it fair to compare without TSM? That is one of the biggest reasons the Slash is worth the extra money, at least for my kids it makes it a lot more fun?
Dude your nuts I traded my traxxas slash VXL for the Slash ultimate and it’s a piece of Junk compared to the ultimate . It flipped all over the place and when u turned hard it would roll over . The Senton is awesome and handles way better it’s kinda like the slash ultimate but without the price tag
Great point but if you watch a few Senton vs Ultimate videos the Senton is very loose and unstable at high speed without the TSM. Ultimate with TSM blows it out of the water.
Wow! Back when I was way younger I had 2 team losi cars. That is way back when you had to put the cars together. Just about 3 years ago I bought a straight 4x4 e-revo. No vxl. I have been wanting to get a 4x4 slash ultimate. But I live in southeast texas and remotes just aren't as big down here and no tracks that I know of. I seen where you went to the traxxas store and....OH MY GOD!! Some day I will make it up there. Love your blog. Keep the good work up.
The tire difference is huge. Traxxas has very hard rubber compound. The Arrma is softer and wider. Same height though. Tires are the only difference. Put the Traxxas tires on the Senton and see the difference.
What about the batteries themselves I know they’re both 5000 mah but doesn’t the arrma batteries have a higher burst rating that the traxxas batteries??
Funny that you ran with "easier to drive" lol..Because the slash is so slow and needs RPM parts to bash hard..And yea all of us guys first question when buying a 1/10 scale 3s rc is.."I wonder which one is slower and easier to drive" LMAO!!!!!
Forget about Arrma versus traxxas. I’m just thankful that we have multiple choices. I think I would have fun with either one
Facts
yeah im happy that there are choices as traxxas doesnt ship outside the us and arrma does on some other sites

Slash witg lcg chassis will handle much better than hcg.
My slash without tsm is impossible to drive. I also have 4s hobbywing with a 2050 motor so that might be why. But my senton is so easy to drive.
Great Video,
I wonder if the Senton is harder to control because it definitely faster out of the box?? But either way these are off road cars so a off road bash would be better to compare.... Not on slightly wet concrete IJS
Appreciate ya
is it really faster
yes the senton is faster and mine was toed out pretty bad, turned the tie rods to straighten the wheels and is really good.
@@High_Octane top speed?
@@Shaun-hp2yz one million
i assume thats mph
can you do this review showing both trucks at the same time ?
Also I was wondering what mic are you using?
The senton might have a higher punch setting, that could be the spinout issue.
It comes stock on level 3 punch I can go up to 5 level punch.
Traxxas ESCs do run pretty weak punch
Hi, I'm trying to decide between the Senton or Slash brushless for my 11 year old son.
Please help thanks!
I love the msm stickers very nice 😎
Enjoy watching your vlogs. Actually just ordered the same slash today. It’ll be my first rc car. Any other tips?
Look at the size of those houses!! What do you do for a living lol??
Tires would help so much
Wow! It's like a fairy tale town! I'd love to live there The video is so much fun subscribe!!
Welcome 👋
You should try the Senton with the Traxxas tires on it and see how much of a difference that makes...
Traxxas tires are a funky compound that wears out fast, but doesn't really have any grip to me. The Senton just has hard compound tires that don't really grip on pavement at all
Is Traxxas Slash has metal gears or they are plastic also like Senton?
Can i recommend 2 RC cars to get Vkar Bison V2 and VRX Racing Cobra Violence Truck.
Diff oil, shock oil differences, the Senton wheelies more than the Slash?
Makes me so proud! Traxxas fan boy here 😂😆

Why is it fair to compare without TSM? That is one of the biggest reasons the Slash is worth the extra money, at least for my kids it makes it a lot more fun?
Great point! I was trying to make them as equal as possible but i should have left it on because it comes with it. Will do this on the next vid.
If you're doing a comparison video would it not be a good idea to run both cars??
I ran the senton in an earlier video. I put a link at the 0:50 mark ;)
I don’t have any problems with my senton I think you might have some issues with yours
How fast can the Traxxas Slash 4x4 VXL Go out of the box??
is the esc cooling fan worth the upgrade?
My senton motor locked up 2 days ago.
TSM is a gyro right. So that's for newbs.
What tracks do you go to? Im getting back into the rc hobby, not sure where to go to race.
What corner of the world are you located?

My slash 4x4 is uncontrollable with tsm off. But my street seems smoother then your.
Hit that like button, folks it matters!!
@mdgdoc that's right!!! 👍👍 can you message me your address to merch@msmvlog.com want to send you some stickers!!!
What about the batteries themselves I know they’re both 5000 mah but doesn’t the arrma batteries have a higher burst rating that the traxxas batteries??
yes... Spektrum 50c vs. Traxxas 25c
Great video
What about the motor difference
Good test on street. Test 2 track test 3 bash. Can’t drive it you will hit curb. Go get it I flipped it . Broken arm and all. Lol.
lol.... smh
Funny that you ran with "easier to drive" lol..Because the slash is so slow and needs RPM parts to bash hard..And yea all of us guys first question when buying a 1/10 scale 3s rc is.."I wonder which one is slower and easier to drive" LMAO!!!!!
LMAO ARMA fan boy 😂😂😂
