Girl 30k what!!!! You deserve this! All of it , plus! Sending you all the love 💕
Thank youuu 🥹 I still remember my first video like it was yesterday 🥲 I'm so happy to be able to be here and I appreciate you so much!
Thank you for posting so often, I watch all. You rock
Thank you so much for being here and for watching 🥹🤗
Anthurium in Pon is fantastic. They also like self watering/no drainage because it is consistently moist.
I have pon and Leca mixed for my queen - one in moss / perlite and I have to agree with this. Just had to add a thiccly pole though so she could climb 🧗♂️
Thank you!! I'm excited for pon. I think I was a little skeptical since it's so new to me but I must say I am loving it lately!
I absolutely love Philodendron Micans!!! The roots on your props were amazing 💚💚💚
Mican's is such a great plant! I felt bad I squished them! Sometimes I get a little lazy with props and leave them for too long 🙈
Lunas little meow melted my heart! 😍
She's so talkative! haha it's the cutest 🥹
I’m obsessed with those pots you have the SOH in 😫 I’ve been looking everywhere for something similar since the first vid you had them in.
I so enjoy your videos! I am doing a marathon on your channel....lol - and I am learing a lot. Thank you once again ♥♥
Congratulations on 30k!!! It's so many, but I'm surprised you don't have more tbh.
Beeeautiful Micans!!! I love 'fluffy' pots lol
Glad the kitties are well too 💚🪴🌿
Thank you! 🥰 I appreciate you for watching and being here! I feel like shorts changed things when they started as far as reach and growing but I love the longer form videos!
I have all my alocasia in pon they love it 🙂 the roots from using pon are just fantastic. I like taking away the over/under watering issue and less chance of pests too, exciting you having your 1st anthurium in pon x
Thank you!! I'm excited too haha. It's been such a nice change from soil I must say and was so impressed with the frydek roots already. I'm eager to do more 🙈
I just potted my Monstera Delicioca in pon 2 days ago. Wish me luck 🍀!
I have my Thai Constellation in Pon. Loves it.
Best of luck!! 🥰🫶
I just became a supporter too!
I love watching these videos. I should do them myself but I'm over-concerned with not looking "video-ready", but you look lovely and comfortable! Congrats on 30K!!
Thank you! Don't be at all 🥹 I wished I started sooner! You're your worst critic and people just love to learn about plants. Show up as yourself and be honest and your people will find you and love you for you 🫶
That happened to me when I put a humidifier next to my anthurium luxurian and alocasia poly. They where okay before and that’s the only change to their environment and it only happens to the leaves that was really close to the humidifier. I cut the part of the leaves that was yellowing/browning as it is spreading. It stopped spreading when i cut that part. They are better now when I just removed the humidifier close to them. Hope that helps
glad they are doing better! Thanks for sharing 🙏
Your Queen is so beautiful 😍 Some of my Anthuriums weren’t doing so well so I put them back in moss an the roots are going crazy. Shewww major relief. Lol 🫶🏼💚
oh no! I'm glad the roots are growing better now 🥹
🥳Congratulations 30k 🎉.
Thank you so much!! 🥰
I use Bobby pins to hold the strands in the soil! Just make sure to stretch it open a little so it doesn’t girdle the strand! ❤
Cover the moss w/ orchid bark to retain water and prevent algae.
oh interesting! I never thought to top dress with bark before. Thanks for sharing! 🫶
@@plantsbymelissa Yeah, it totally works! I'll never not use bark on top again.
I've always loved Mother Earth course perlite..I think it's a #3. I bought it when I worked at Atlantic in Raleigh. But, the only way to really buy it now is in like a 4cu bag and even though I would use it, I just don' have the space :(
Sometimes I have a dilemma about repotting certain of my plants. A few of my plants haven’t been repotted in several years yet they are thriving. I look at those plants and think it must need repotting but due to its obvious strong health I don’t do it. I hope I’m making the correct decision.
With the SOH's, be careful with the cord hanging the pot. My SO dolphins, it rotted, and CRASH! Luckily didn't crack the pot or damage much of the plant. keep the rope out of the medium. Especially if keeping it wetter when there are "props" in the soil.
oh no! I'll have to make sure I didn't fill it too full with soil. I'm sorry that happened!
The Warocq I ordered from that same place when you got yours is not doing well either. Totally my fault. I forgot to water her and fill the humidifier for a couple of days. I was going to report it in pon and tree fern fiber but now I will give it some time...
😭
oh no I'm so sorry! 🥹 I hope it can make a comeback for you!
Would like to see how you have hung your plants. Do you hang them right to the curtain rod? Or have hooks in ceiling?
I love your videos, and I have learned so much from you! I have a terrible problem with my new kitten, how did you train your cats not to eat or play with your plants??? I really need help with this!
The SOH need to have the sun on top of the crown of the plant
Do you have updates on you Queen and anthuriums in pon? I am debating transferring all of mine...
I truly enjoy your videos. Just wanted you to know 🙂
Thank you, really! It means soo much to me! I love being here and I'm am so grateful to be able to make these videos 🥹🫶
The damage on the queen anthurium leaf is very similar looking to the thrips damage I found on my stingray alocasia and coffee arabica.
I actually ended up cutting the leaf off after filming 😂 I haven't seen any thrips in my plant room hopefully won't get any this year. They're the worst 🥲
@@plantsbymelissa they are! I only ever found 1 on each plant I had to doctor up and so far so good..... Hopefully that's kept them at bay.
💚🌱
I’m dealing with all my SOH right now too. Why are they not rooting in water for me??? Help! They’ve worked in moss in a cover container but will NOT root in water. Is there a trick to it???
You have to remove some of the bottom leaves so the roots come from that node. Also put it in a bright space :)
@@anniehad3848 yeah, I did that. I only left a few leaves at the ends. The long stem just turned to mush! 😢 This has happened every time I have tried!
Do you let it dry out before putting it in water? I think if you put the cutting in water right after the cut, there is a chance of rotting :/
Mine didn't do well in water :( They seemed to rot very easily as well. I tried a few strands awhile back and maybe I let the water get too low or they just didn't like it I'm not sure. It was mush so I had to toss them. The stratum seems to work well for them and moss too but stratum is definitely my go to lately.
