      Thank you so much, Sherry! I took her out of the grow tent so I’m really nervous but I have a baby one that’s done fine and the regale is doing ok so 🤞🏻

      Awwww thanks! I am VERY proud of this plant! Now fingers crossed I don’t mess it up! Sounds good I’ll keep an eye out for a message. My goal is to get your butterflies in the mail today but don’t hold me to that 🤣

    My queen is just a stomp right now.. I hope she will give me a leaf someday…I would love to see an anthurium collection video in the future😍

      Stay patient! She is probably working in roots first. I’d love to do an anthurium collection video. That’s a great idea!

    I prefer orchid pon over regular pon. It is a bit more expensive but it has lover PH which anthurium seem to prefer and it is also chunkier. I believe the extra aeration helps too. All of my anthuriums including queen are thriving in it

    • @PlantFriendDownTheStreet
      @PlantFriendDownTheStreet  3 года назад +1

      Nice! The DIY pon mix that I made is way chunkier than the pon that came with this pot. I’ll keep that in mind as I continue to put more in anthurium in. I also have a baby queen that is in that pon and doing fine so I’m sure it’s totally possible to keep them happy but just didn’t want to risk it with this girl! Thanks for the info!

    I love a sphag/perlite mixture. It's one I've had great success with to get good roots on rehabs. (Is Pippa sleeping on the job? I missed seeing her smooshy face🐶💚)

    • @PlantFriendDownTheStreet
      @PlantFriendDownTheStreet  3 года назад +1

      Hahaha! Pippa’s around but it’s hard to include her in things like repots and she would have just barked at Jimmy so her dad took her to the park while we filmed. I will try really hard to put her in another one soon! Yay team Perlite/Sphag!

    The real question is what does the crisping mean on the smaller leaf? i have this too and i dont know what to do about it :( thank you!

    Beautiful queen you have...have you don't an update on how she's doing now? Would love to see.

    • @PlantFriendDownTheStreet

      she went back in the grow tent for the winter. The blemish on the leaf kind of spread and that leaf doesnt look so great now, but she's putting out a new one.

      It’s ok, I don’t think I’d do this again if I had it to do over with this plant.

      @@PlantFriendDownTheStreet Since this video is from July, what do you currently have her potted up in? Also, referring to one of my earlier questions from the other video, I have had SO much more success with bottom watering my plants in moss and getting the right amount of water distributed throughout. So thank you for the great tip!

    • @PlantFriendDownTheStreet
      @PlantFriendDownTheStreet  2 года назад

      @@spikedout2323 awesome!!!!! If I had it to do over again, I would have put her into the Lechuza pot in the pon and left her in the growtent until spring and tried to acclimate her to low humidity more slowly. She did fine until the seasons changed but everything I have in there in pon is exploding with growth.

    • @spikedout2323
      @spikedout2323 2 года назад

      @@PlantFriendDownTheStreet I got mine from Ecuagenera back in October with no roots at all. I was first able to fully and successfully root her in moss/perlite. I then acclimated her to the 50-60% humidity in my house with a ton of active root growth, and she even started to push out a brand new growth point.... until I transferred her to pon. I think I might consider switching her back to the moss/perlite mix since she was doing so well in that previously. Thank you for the attentive replies and for your help in getting me through my work day :)

      @@spikedout2323 oooooooo that sucks! Yeah, I don’t know queens can be so sensitive. I’m always hesitant to change anything with them.
