Don't understand how this doesn't have the popularity! Watched many of you back yard builders over the years and I support you all in these efforts. To me this like total fun!!
As someone who can only make booger welds, those welds look amazing. I have to say it is pretty astonishing how well that rear subframe fits into the chassis.
Crazy amount of progress each video! Tons of hours im sure... really can appreciate the work. Thanks for sharing! It's been fun to follow along such a crazy build from scratch!
Just on catch up Peter I have been a long time subscriber but I have a son with Autism and a mother with dementia so have little time for myself so really enjoying watching these back to back 👌
I think this is the most exciting project car on the internet, can’t wait to see it all done and running like it’s supposed to. One thing is i think that you definitely need to strengthen those suspension mounts in the front. That’s just my opinion, best of luck, you just gained a subscriber from Kuwait.
Looking forward to this build, this would make a perfect unique time-attack car aswell but that would require a bit too much downforce modifications. Hope the next video comes soon!
awesome progress, its coming along quick! I noticed you still have the rear door hinges in place, could it be built so that rear panel only needs clips in the middle/back and you have it attached to the hinges on the front? would make it easier when just swapping tyres. could have lift off hinges for when you need to work on it in close quarters.
Great progress, looking absolutely stunning. Looking at it I really think you should put some tubes between the front upper wishbone mounts. There are substantial forces going in up there, even when road driving.
Looking good Peter! Great to see you learning new stuff - maybe you could do some computer analysis of your space frame to help you with those loads at the front. It shouldn't be that hard to model. For sure take some time off and meet some people. You have a wealth of experience and expertise to share, and there will be plenty at the car show willing to learn, and the break will be good for your not-18 year old body and mind as well. All the best, look after yourself, and enjoy the show.
Hi Peter I've not seen a video for a while not sure if they are sending me Notifications so iv'e switched off Notifications and put them back on I have heard this helps car is coming along great part of me can't wait to so the finished product but another part of me just likes seeing the build. Kind Regards from Liverpool England.
You are a true mechanical car genius, Peter! Keep up your fantastic work. But remember - never work too much. We have been there, seen that, done that. Try to avoid do it again my friend😉😊
I think you should definitely add some diagonal tubing. Can't wait to see the next episode, but enjoy the car show, we don't want you to break down again!
Hello, I think that the path of today's Volvo to cram in the power of an electric motor is a dead end, but such a large atmospheric engine is the way :D I would recommend the car company to send Greta where the sun doesn't shine, and return to something that makes sense, but I wanted to ask you if it wouldn't be more appropriate to use a bigger engine from the VW concern, I quite like the twin-turbocharged V16 :D :D no, I'm not kidding, but you're definitely the closest to cutting up the Shiron, but how many people have a Volvo Lamborghini engine :D :D Good job, I enjoy watching it. BTW, I've already felt the climate crisis, when my borrowed Tesla stopped at minus 20°C due to the software and didn't drive a meter and I waited 7 hours with my family for a tow truck, everyone must realize that the wife is screaming and the children are also hungry and nothing can be done !
I was thinking nothing was gonna top your Volvoghini build, but this got me stoked, can't wait to see it running!
14:08 "Absolutely no polish " - Peter Björck 2024 Thats why i love you
Peter posts a video, I upvote it then watch it. That’s how the world works.
Ive owned several 240 wagons, and it makes me so happy you're taking a car with faded paint to a fancy show.
