Dogs being thrown and people jumping over water; what a gift to a photographer. Could only be bettered if people were throwing dwarfs over that incoming tide. Can you say, dwarf throwing these days?
Loved it 👍
Thanks mate. Hope we can do another shoot soon
3 blokes 1 cup 😂
Haha. Not pup! 😂
What a great video mate! Brings back happy memories from that day!
Fantastic day. Funny memories mate
I really like your videos Gareth. I feel like I’m out with you on a photo walk, and I think that’s pretty hard to do, so full credit to you.
Did you meet @melanieking at the Margate School?
P.S. Dans tip won't work with Vodka and Minolta SrT 101, I have proofs of it... Sharpness is being overrated 😂.
Fun video, different shots and view points. Great stuff
I was there Sunday just gone. Drove down mainly to have a look around the 8x8 which was good, and have a little photo wander.
Great video, I was going to visit the exhibition on Saturday but my wife had a bit of an accident in the afternoon so stayed at home with her instead, I still have just over a week and only live about a 40 minute drive or train journey away from Margate, spent a day trip at Margate for my honeymoon 26 years ago. Hopefully you went to Canterbury before going home to Wales, it's a great place to photograph.
Great video. I’m surprised you didn’t hit Dreamland though 😁
On the subject of photographing kids that you mentioned in this, that’s a whole video on it’s own. I was in Hull last year photographing kids playing in jets of water and got a had a woman come upto me having a right go at me. I stood my ground and told her I was a street photographer (had a proper camera not phone) and stood my ground. It’s an interesting topic especially in todays era.
There are some really photogenic areas in Margate, I grew up in the town next door Westgate during the eighties. A great place to get sunset photos over the sea
What a thoroughly fun video. Loved the photos. The dog toss with the boys expression was priceless.
I loved that shot. So funny
15.33 was best for me :- )
Loved this vlog, was a good laugh too in the end.
Wonderful. I sometimes think we get so caught up with trying to master the perfect photo whether it's a landscape, a portrait or a product and forget that the tool we have in our hands was designed to capture moments in life as they happen. You've done this so wonderfully in this video but at the same time you've given us a delightful opportunity to observe the photographers moment in life capturing others, it left a big smile on my face. Once again thank you. Incidentally, always easy to see something in a video that looks different on the day but when I saw the footage at around 12 minutes all I could think of was a modern day LS Lowry scene, all those little black silhouette people were amazing.
Nice to meet you in Margate Gareth! Hopefully catch you out shooting some time !
Definitely up for a shoot mate. Let me know if you plan anything
I’m a big fan of the diner in the window. Reminds me of Edward Hopper. 7:20
Thanks mate. My favourite from the shoot too 😁
And you all played nicely together.

Thanks mate. Yeah my favorite from the day I think 😁
One of the shots I was hoping one of you would have got were the tractor tracks curving in the sand back along the beach from the bottom right corner back up to the top left. Great vid and very inspiring !!
You never fail to spark new ideas. Creativity to the max! Loved the results.
Hey Jon. Thanks so much 😁

Fun morning had by all... love it
Hi Gareth, the digital zines are a great idea, I love the honesty in the text of what went well and maybe not so well. The format works really especially when viewing on a tablet. I look forward to more to come, keep up the good work.
Thanks so much David mate. Really nice of you. I’m enjoying the challenge! It’s certainly making me shoot more. 😁
Great fun all the top lads together 👍 nice shots too. I’m with you, Gareth, love the doggy in the air and the boy’s expression, but no kids, plenty of other people and things to shoot, as you all so ably demonstrate 👍
