Gareth, you are right about Matt: I spent a day at one of his workshops in Cambridge and it was inspirational to see the world through his eyes. He has such a superb, unique eye for seeing what others miss. One other thing worth mentioning is that he charges a fraction of what many other photographers do for a workshop.
Favourite episode Gareth. You both made some great images, but Matt's approach is a revelation. I always look at his work and think, "How the hell did he do that?" His attention to the detail/components in his framing is jaw dropping. Great job Gareth!
Brilliant video. Matt is a legend and brilliant tutor. I attended one of his street photography workshops in Cambridge, it definitely changed my approach to finding shots.
the first thing i noticed, Gareth shooting Q2, I knew you broke 100V on purpose to tell the wife you needed a new camera. Great video and i follow Matt on insta and interesting to see how he works.
For me, the photo at 10:30 works well BECAUSE the lady isn't on a third. I think it's a super interesting composition. Great video Gareth and always great to hear the insights of Matt who is a really excellent photographer.
Hi Gareth I have just started following Matt on IG I love his style. I also love to shoot Street at a similar focal length and use the stunning Viltrox 75mm f1.2 obviously it's not a stealth lens 😅 The red bus image of his reminded me of Saul Leiter's work, one of my favourite Street photographers. Putting Matt aside I also loved the images that you captured especially the 'Lowrey' image

These walk abouts with other photographers are among my favourite YT photography vids. Cheers Gareth.

I have followed Matt for some time but this inspired me to go out today and shoot in a different way.
10:07 in the video, yellow drain, yellow bus and people walking past in yellow jackets. I was screaming to take that picture haha
nah man, gotta be more interest to an image than that. especially the drain part
Was really good to see an 85mm at work on the street.
I really loved this mate. In fact I am watching it for the second time lol. Also F8 issue 4 is great as well.

Excellent lens work by Matt. Check out Saul Leiter American photographer from the 60s
There’s currently a Saul Leiter expo on at Milton Keynes 👍
This guy is a f%€# master!
that he is!
Great video, although I do think you are being hard on yourself. Your first image looked pretty creative to me.
Is that the new 56mm wr or old one?
very Saul Leiter style.
Why street photography and what do you do with your photo's?
Gareth. Where were you?
Granary Square at Kings Cross. Great place to photograph.
