Personally, I think the front end of the FT-1 concept would have been more appropriate to use in this redesign than the mug of the production version if you still planned to keep the proportions of the MK4 Supra in tact.
There's FT-1 inspired front bumper from some Asian company and also the FT-1 body kit exist, but they have been taking forever to even release it.
Duke dynamics is the company for the FT-1 body kit
Agreed

@@X1xRiGox3X it looks like a newer corvette imo....especially the side rear profile
The supra was the ultimate version of the celica (in japan it was called celica xx) . It started with the second generation celica and it got seperated and supra became its own thing when the mk3 supra and the mk4 celica generations came. Originally it was basically a celica with a 6 cylinder instead of 4 and redesigned fascia .
okay?
they went different paths, the Celica went rallying and the supra went racing lol
@@Jackaboo Celica is one of my favourite rally cars
@@Spud_Farmer hell yeah
I think it is a good decision to ask the community what car to redesign next. For sure it would significantly help the channel
I feel like sometimes Bembli struggles with angular JDM designs
Funny part about this is, the mk4 and mk5 are pretty much the same size in terms of dimensions, just the wheelbase... and seeing the FT1 and seeing how they tried to cram all the vents of the FT1 on the mk5... screw it all up
also the tail lights on mark 5 are ass ugly.
@@NeonAnimeDreams huh... that's definitely a unique take I thought everyone liked it. I sure dkd
@@dan_lazaro yea just don't dig them especially how they look when combined with that duck bill spoiler, maybe if the rear end was designed differently I might like them better but as it stands it's just an odd mixture of elements going on in the rear, maybe its just me I don't know, I do tend to like retro designs better 🤷♂️
@@NeonAnimeDreams I agree with you, old designs are cooler to me haha. but I do like the tail lights on the mk5, they flow well with the back end imo
@@Jackaboo maybe for a BMW, when I look at it, it screams not a Supra lol. It's like Toyota had no imput and just let some young hot shot with no appreciation for previous designs run rough shot all up in that rear, but it's cool man, we all got different tastes.
Everything works except the front bumper I think
Yeah, ngl, it kinda looks like an Impreza with the hood scoop
Hot take:
Tastefully restomodded Mk2 or Mk3 > Mk4 Supra
i’m ngl the mk4 has almost been ruined for me just bc of how over popular it’s become
@@hiljicardrawings3467 Thank god someone else thinks this, I said the same thing out loud at a cars and coffee and people just looked at me like I had an animal sticking out of my neck.
@@hiljicardrawings3467 same reason i'm not into the r34 skyline..I mean I started to like both supra and r34 but at first they were a no for me since they're too popular
Can you do the 3000gt next
Hes already done it
@@deluxeaux2244 no he hasn't lol
I like how much of the FT-1 made it through the production process of the new Supra. The interior on the other hand.. Has all the passion of an electric razor... I would love to see a 2023 upgraded MK4 interior in the new Supra...
Good vid as always!
Kept the BMW interior to keep production cost down and because honestly..so much nicer than what it would have been if toyota had designed it .and since it doesn't share anything with the current other lineup it's more of a one off for the fans for a few years kinda car and they weren't going to design the whole thing from scratch and make the price even higher .the interior is incredible compared to what we have now in the other models minus the new tundra .
@@mutinyrider666 Oh yea I know. Automakers have shared platforms for decades to keep the costs down. Sometimes with the exact same interior.
I had a 2000 Eclipse GT. Friend had a 2001 Dodge Stratus coupe. Exactly the same inside.
I have ZERO issues with Toyota and BMW working together. It's just that the Supra was an Icon. It's a sports car and needs to be affordable for the class it is in. Not crazy fast. Not slow. The car it replaced really looked good all around from day one. The passion for driving was everywhere.
I just think they missed the mark with the interior. The switchgear and other controls work well in BMWs. Their no nonsense and efficient design appeals to people. Some of the fastest BMWs don't look fast until WTF look at that thing go.....
They just didn't capture the spirit of the Supra line trying to work around the BMW parts. Like I said.. WoW that body looks fast standing still then you open the door and it has all the passion of an electric razor.
@@mutinyrider666 Toyota did do the "design" all the plastic in the interior is Toyota, JBL is Toyota, they just used everything bmw for the infotainment/electronics (except the iMT in the manual thats Toyota tech) which is not bad, i would of loved to see lexus RX350 new infotainment in the Supra, even the design looks more towards the driver. Maybe on next years Supra we can get interior redesign since we only got till 2025 with the Supra until its discontinued.
it's better to keep the bmw interior. since all your getting is japanese interior so basically corolla interior if you made Toyota design their own. it won't be as good as you think to let Toyota decide how to make the interior. look at the mk4 supra, all toyota sports cars and well, all Japanese sports cars lol
@@dan_lazaro I just want an updated version of the MK4 interior.
1986 Supra was always the first car I bought in GT2 (or was it GT1?). It was the no brainer starter car. My first car was a 1994 Celica. Always wanted to own a yellow Supra mk4. I think there's a connection. Sick update.
I have a request. I have read in a forum that Toyota CHR was supposed to be a coupe but Toyota ended up making CHR a crossover( I'm not sure). So, can you design CHR as a coupe?
Great. You made it look like a bootleg viper with that front end.
I gotta admit I was not expecting that sponsor section
Check out the Supra AE100 concept, that had to be the best "new supra" concept out there
How about a new Mazda 6 stationwagon? They are rumoring an inline 6 rwd.
When I saw thumbnail I was like wait what? Didn't u do this already
Same
PLZ REDESIGN THE VW BEELTE !!!!!!
ps i love these kind of videos :D
Could you remodify the LFA into a rear mid-engine super Car? I believe that format would have given it the success it needed.
Check out the new lexus prototype for the lfa
Let me honest I liked your old one more
Let me honest I kinds agree. Me think they're both good
Certo nice but would be cool of you change It up some more, change the proprtion Just a Little bit to moderno
the fake vents are there to homologate them for racing, where they open them up and are real
NISSAN SILVIA S15 REDESIGN PLEASE
I personally just disagree with the judgement of the new Supra. It looks very much like a modernized version of the previous generations. It’s low and muscular looking, and still very obviously follows the design of years prior, with current styling ideals added.
nah no one can beat supra mk4 style 🤙
Supras have never looked the same from generation to generation and it should stay that way.
People fail to realize that
Fellow designer here again
I hate giving my opinion on someones work, but ill give it ago again.
93' to 22' The main differences are between headlights, taillights and sleakness. If I knew how to do a rough sketch.. etc; with my wacom board i'd give it a go. I'd have kept the headlights the same and made them thinner vertically. bumpers a bit to much. I'd have also lowered the roof slightly. Kept the spoiler.
I've always felt that Hyudai's Tiburon was an attempt to copy the look of the Celica GT-Four then later with the second generation Tiburon, the mark 4 Supra. This re-design while better than the mark 5, ironically reminds me of the second generation Tiburon with the placement of the orange indicators in the headlamps.
I feel that if anything, to truly modernise the design you'd need to do the opposite of the "melted cheese" look and introduce some sharper angles. I think that Toyota may have been attempting to do that with the mark 5, but perhaps went just a little too far - The fender intakes and those 'tear ducts' in the headlamps in the mark 5 are arguably the worst offenders.
The tail itself is definitely a significant part of its character. I would have kept the height as a nod to the original, but sharpened the edges, maybe even introduced different materials (e.g. Carbon fiber or a black color break). That's just my take of course. 😎
I remember watching your video of this a few years ago
Okay I came here to see the redesign but I love how much praise was given to the a60 supra (mk2) since I own one and that's what got me really looking into the whole supra family and watching videos just like this
I actually really like this redesign, only thing that bothers me are the front headlights. I just feel like the front proportions could maybe be fixed a little
Try hit for a sketch idea what it you took the C8 Corvette and turn it into a modern chrysler mid-engine supercar. How would this look?
Nissan 240sx redesign?
Mustang New Edge 99-04 plss
That just looks disgusting... :c
Mk4 supra looks perfect if you just lover it and put some wheels.
By far the BEST looking new Supra is the concept of Giuliano Partisani
#ToyotaSupraAE100 with the mk4 TRD 3000GT front end #AE100 #TRDmk4
(the best of MK4 and the FT-1 concept, and a lil bit of some jdm recognizable design elements)
And the best moded mk4 Supra is from #hycade
I'd prefer the mk3,because it's a dark horse of the family.And i hope i will have one.
I think you should’ve used the Corolla GR headlights and front fascia as inspiration
I like it but the head lights look too much like a late 2000's Tiburon
I love this redesing but one thing feels of its the front bumper if it had air vents tiny bit lower it would be amazing
Dude, WTH maan, I was anxious the whole length waiting for you to balance the left front spoiler to match the right side's WINGLET but you never did...!!
Hmm.. I think you fell a bit short this time. Nothing bold. I was expecting some work on the roundness of the green house / windows / windshield
please do a sequoia next!!!
i own a 2010 sequoia and toyota really butchered the new 2020+ ones
6:04 the wents arent really fake, you can open them at any time
They made those fake vents because they wanted to make tuning easier. If you want to add vents, you have places ready.
Personally my favorite redesign is the A100 Supra.
I like the outline of the mk2. But door line could do with being higher.
We need a rear view of this!!
To be fair, every generation looked different than the last, the new supra looking how it does is better than just the same car from the 90’s
What even.... Just nope for me.
damn guys this guy just invented a new supra thats just the best features from all of the other supras and u guys just be criticizing him and trying to say what would have been better "personally". xD
i would have liked if the mirrors were the same color and slightly more down to the body
the roof could be more angled too such as the spoiler
Breaking the rules is not cheating. By the way.
- Herewego.
the Design of Lexus LFA should’ve been the mark v supra. Also a 4 seater 2 door as the forth gen. Keep price under 100k and pretty sure it will sell more.
A modern day Cadillac Escalade EXT would be fun to see, that might just be me though.
Can you do this with 71-73 mustang? It's a really under appreciated design
Redesign is not bad...however I like it when you do something totally different. Not a huge fan of the front bumper. I personally wouldn't want any mk5 influence .
I didn’t like the looks of the GR Supra at first but it’s looks have grown on me. Looks waay better in person. I can’t say the same thing for the G8x M3/M4s lol
It looks really cool! I really loved the '82 Supra.
everything else looks better, but the headlights... Oh boy. The old ones actually looked great on the redesign
Could you redesign the e46 m3? Your last one with the giant grill didnt really fit at all, and it's a shame with such a legendary car.
i still prefer the original mk4 version of the supra but damn that redesign looks sick
Nice hyundai tiburon.
@Sketchmonkey Where do you get your model cars on your shelf?
I’m the only one who thinks it just came out looking like a Mitsubishi 3000gt
What about a Honda Prologue Type R? / Type R hybrid. I think the design is very similar.
Keep up the veery enjoyable work!
Wow, new JZA100 Supra looks good
It’s a good thing you wasn’t in charge in designing the new Supra, mans just made a body kit for the mk4 😭
Your redesign in the front look like a modernized 1998 mustang and probably a fox body too
Problem will be dealerships racking up prices... MT Supra went to $100k. Lexus LC500 is more cheaper and is more Toyota
The mk 5 Supra is already the best looking new sports car on the road.
I would love to see you redesign the Honda Prelude
If someone can acquire all the tooling from Toyota, along with the necessary raw materials to build Mk4 supras, I'd be on the list for preorder asap. Alas, this may only ever be a dream, as the cost for starting production would probably be astronomical, especially if you have to do your own R&D to bring everything up to today's safety standards.
I feel like these are more restomod designs than they are new cars with accents of the original.
Looks identical to early 2000's Honda Civic- especially similar to ones used in first F&F movie.
TJ Hunts bodykit fixes the mk5....
but it doesn't fix the fact it's a BMW
That whole BMW thing has made it lose its iconic image....
deep down you know it’s not a Supra...
When you sit in an mk4 or a GTR 32
It hits different
In the land of retro, toyota fucked up with the new supra, and going the lazy route of making it a bmw. This would have sold like hotcakes if they didn't have bean counters. Really makes you appreciate dodge for having the guts to give the consumers what they really wanted and taking the retro love into the future instead of the generic blobby E factor appliance.
As critical as I am of many aspects of the new Supra's design, it honestly makes sense why they did things the way they did. Toyota hasn't manufactured an inline-6 motor in 20 years, engineering that alone would cause the Supra's price to skyrocket. The next best decision they could make was to partner with BMW, the company who makes the best inline-6 in the world, and the best ones since the 2JZ. Dodge, however, has the infrastructure to continue making the V8s that their cars need, because they never stopped making them. Same with Nissan, they still make their V6 that they use in the Z, which is why the new Z is essentially a 370Z with a new body.
Cars like these are not volume sellers, and even if they made it an all-Toyota project to be what you want it to be, it still wouldn't sell like crazy. Look what happened the last time they manufactured their own sports car from the ground up - it cost $400,000 and they still lost money on every sale.
@@mgopaul27 Since 2JZ?Dude,BMW inline 6 existed and were great way before 2JZ came to be.
@@hillclimbracingfan5821 Oh hell yeah you're not wrong, I'm just talking about inline-6 engines since the 2JZ, so over the last 20 years or so.
@@mgopaul27 I see but what i meant is BMW's inline 6 engines were top before 2JZ,not just after it.
@@hillclimbracingfan5821 Yeah, which I also agree. Toyota had a nice run with the 5M and 7M series, the 1JZ and 2JZ really took the throne for a little while though. But yes, the overall point I was making is that the Supra needs the inline-6, and what better company to go with than BMW, the king of the inline-6?
I like what you did but those headlights are still a bit rough. I can’t do what you do but I think your headlights struggle a bit.
This probably is one of your best redesigns
I think whats throwing me off are the fenders. its not wide enough for the design of the front bumper. you should try the TRD 3000gt as a base next
Hey hello, i want to ask you about to make a scratch of car interior design tutorial. Are you accepting the challange?
The only real true successor to the MK4 Supra especially styling wise is the Lexus LFA.
looks great but I would like the hood scoop more if it was a hole-ish but also a bit more square-ish with a light bump to it so its not just a hole
So you’re telling me that Toyota, one of the richest and most profitable car companies in the world, doesn’t have a few bucks for spare to make the revival of the 90’s JDM legends Supra?
16:00. I have to question the headlights, but otherwise I am blown away by the fact that this drawing is combination of the Mark IV Supra and a GT-R 34. Also, this wouldn't be such a bad idea to become a body kit for the Mark V Beamer "Supra".
Ever tryed semi trucks?
Liked a lot what you did with the door and rear bumper/shoulder. The sharpness looks amazing, true to the newer sports cars... but the front end... Not so much :/
Overall The car is great but something with the angle of the headlights not speaking with the angles of the bumper, it kinda goes in their own different ways.
However, Im truly hooked into your designs lol 4th video in a row 😅
Greetings from 🇧🇷
the headlight looks a bit funny
I would love to see a supra with enough mods to look like this
I felt like the new Supra needed the iconic wing
I think you should blend a Mark4 and a LFA (The spiritual successor)
You’ve basically designed the Hyundai Tiburtino Coupe
nah i couldnt see the 93 reborn with the new supras front bumper style if anything itd keep the grill but have smaller vents on the side with a splitter even on base trim
The front end with the hood scoop is giving me ferrari 350 maranello vibes
Bembli what happened with you??? 🤔 In the past you made much better redesign works. 🤓
its pretty cool, not crazy about that hood vent though but still pretty cool
Disappointed you chose the unattractive triple-hole front end; also, the rear vent you made is too large and too close to the rear wheel arc. The headlights don't need to be so large vertically since they are a strip of three lights. For some reason they look like they are now stacked 3+3. The body lines with more definition are very nice.
I like the Supra, but I've never seen a subdivision of the car community be so obsessed with a single model like Supra fans.
Watch "ULTIMATE 90’s JDM Cars: Emelia Hartford Cruises With Larry Chen" posted 4 weeks ago to be taken down 90's JDM memory lane.
If it was me i'd make the headlights a little bit wider.
Anyways good job man
That front bumper looks like if you would've put it in nfs underground 2 🤣
