It needs the high beam and 3 fade bars like the ones now, it can keep the daytime running lights on the bottom but it would look more mustang if it had those bars 😅😅😏😏😏 but I'd gladly buy one right now with a 5.0L under the hood, not a bad looking redesign 😏😏
Glad to see I wasn't alone in thinking this! I think slimming the headlights down was a great way to modernize it but creating an up slant instead of down lost some of the original character. Would love to see a modernized notchback version! The one Foose did was kinda lame.
i was saying when ford announced they were making a next Gen mustang i was hoping since retro styling has been based off mustangs from the 60s then 70s that maybe this gen could be a fox. I would be awesom if ford brought back a lighter weight smaller fox for this gen.
The problem with Ford bringing back a lightweight Mustang , is that they pretty much can't . Government regulations having to do with safety and fuel economy have made that impossible . The only reason companies like McLaren can make a lightweight sports car is because they build it out of nothing but aluminum and carbon fiber . Ford did build something mclaren'sh it's called the Ford GT . And even if you were allotted a spot to buy it it was way too much money .
Seriously.. Ford needs to bring back a modern Fox body Mustang! Enough with the euro stylish, time to go retro again, and what a time for a return of a legendary car, the 5.0L Fox body Mustang 🔥
As a Fox Mustang stan, I say you did brilliant, but one little problem: You got rid of the rear spoiler and didn't put another one back. This is still brilliant anyways, so great job. I especially love what you did for the front. The headlights may be angled the opposite way, but they still have that Fox Mustang vibe. It's really something that you could pull this off.
I have a Mustang family ! First one was a 1990 (25 anniversary) GT Fox body convertible. I changed the front grill to the open style and put a mach (fiberglass) hood on it and a cervinni wing on the back and a new top and Cobra wheels and had it repainted. Also working air flow under the hood. It was a beautiful car. Gave it to my son on his 17 birthday. He later sold it (wish he wouldn't of done it or i should of gave him the money for what he sold it for...but hey 🤷) but he needed a work truck. And he worked a whole year saving all his money and bought a 68 Fastback. Then I Bought my daughter a 98 Mustang and she only had it a little over a year and a lady ran a stop and totaled the front. She then went and got a 2001 mustang convertible. I wound up later buying a 2004 Mustang Mach 1 for myself (40 yr. Anniversary) a beautiful car. My sister bought the new 2005 mustang when it came out. 2 years later she traded for a SUV. 🤦 P.S. My sons 68 Fastback had a 6cyl under the hood (yep that's right) he rebuilt it but didn't drive it much but he yanked it out (of course he was working and driving his truck) but saved more of his money and bought a wrecked 2015 with the 5.0 Coyote moter. He then Rotisserie restored the Fastback and Put in the Coyote 5.0 with a 5 speed. He put in a lot of time and money in it...but it started right up. And it's a beautiful car ! Probably the best style car ever made IMOP. Next to the 71 Trans Am style and I had the pleasure of owning that at one time also. 👍
If I had to choose what my favorite Mustang is, it would have to be the 2010 to 2014 Mustang as I personally believe it's the perfect blend of muscle and sport and it's an overall timeless design as well.
That was the ugliest 2000’s design… nobody that owns a Mustang likes that design except the owners of those specific years. The motors were great though.
the fox has probably become the most popular mustang ever. From its light weight v8 small size it made every thing from chevy guys buy them and drop LS in ford guys built them and dodge guys loved them as well because they didnt Have much of a muscle car through the 90s. Going back to only having the corvette and mustang to choose from for american v8 muscle i think ford has to kill it on sept 14th with the release of the new mustang. Dodge and camaro guys already started jumping ship 3-5 years ago and even vette guys went and switched to fords which is crazy to see so many cross shopping. But the 5.0 coyote and its other varients like the 5.2 gt350s voodoo and gt500s predator have become the best v8s available. Ppl are pulling LS engines out of tveir drag cars and swapping ford coyote engines in their chevys and dodges. That is crazy to see but a stock sealed coyote can make up to 1200whp with just boost and fuel and get a mustang gt into the 7s in the 1/4 and v8 f150s into the 8s without ever opening the engine no heads no cams no pistons no rods no opening the engine unless you want to go big power and then factory block handles 2000hp And can make a fox run 5s in the 1/4 mile. So as long as ford gets the s650 design right and keeps the coyote going. This my friends will be the last American muscle car!!
You can't deny that the Coyote engines love boost, the DOHC paired with PFDI 😏😏 them babies are mean, but in my personal opinion the 5.2L Voodoo is too much of an engineering marvel to just sit on the shelf, IT WAS LITERALLY DESIGNED FOR THE TRACK and they should've twin-turboed it and dropped it into the GT Supercar, the 3.5L is an nice engine, but the Voodoo is a beast, you can easily pump 1,400 HP out of them, just dyno it to ~960 and call it a day. Just imagine how much better performing, better sounding, higher revving, V8 glory that beast would destroy any number any Ferrari could ever put down, #SryEnzo 😍😍😍
I own a 93 notch and would love to see a modern version of it. I have had 8 foxbodys over the years and is definitely one of my favorite model mustang.
94 mustang may not look as appealing today as its foxbody predecessor, but it was a advanced groundbreaking design at the time and dominated the Camaro in sales.
Now I’m no where near a mustang fan of even any kind of Muscle car guy in anyway but I have to agree this is not good at all not to say it’s real or even becoming a thing but nope just nope
As a 45 year old man with 5 Fox Body Mustangs in my vehicle history, I love it! I agree with others it needs a spoiler, but a minimal one in my opinion. Still an amazingly well done redesign! This needs a Rear View redesign as well though. I want to see this in “360 degrees”, PLEASE!!!
No. The thunderbird nameplate also would have been hated on the Mach-e. The Thunderbird started as a two seater luxury car and grew into a five-seater two-door coupe by the end of its lifecycle. A four door family crossover should not have that name
Would be really cool if the front headlights had the 3 Mustang signature daytime running lights in the edge of the light housings but overall its a beautiful modernization ❤️
I had an SVO back in the '80s. The stock 16 inch rims back then definitely stood out. Today I have a toyota matrix with 16" rims. They don't stand out at all on the smaller car. I guess it's what you get used to.
Saw a vid the other day where they mentioned the E, there was an added disclaimer that it was only a mustang by marriage. Probably the best summation ever.
So I had an idea for the headlamps, instead of making the inner lamp cluster just white for the high beam, they could also have an amber sequence that was on when the high beams were not. The corner lamp could have a forward facing angle also since the original Fox had an inner and outer pear shaped amber light that surrounded the head lamp, since they are LEDs they could also be a sequential turn signal, which would look pretty good.
I agree with Dylan. I think you did a great job updating this one, but I'm just not feelin' the upturned lights. I think you could have made a new version of the downturned ones that could harken back to the OG.
Thanks for this vid. I was just thinking the other day it’d be nice to see a Mustang that isn’t still loosely based off of the 1969 like every Mustang has since 2005.
With modifications you did it almost looks like a capri of the same era which was Fox bodied. Looks really good though I wouldn't throw it out of my garage.

Got a k8nda audi back end angle. Flow of grill into lights for me like the old sierra uk. Didnt flow well. Lower grill could be bigger to boost intake.
As an owner of an 82 GT, I gotta say looks nice. Never was a fan of 87-93 Fox's cause they all looked the same. Love 79-86 cause they all looked different, well 82-86 all had different noses and shit, but if Ford did do that I would definitely look into buying one.
I think you made the rims a bit too wide, and the front end needs some work but I really do like this concept. All we need is for the designers of cars to see videos like these so they know and (hopefully) follow what the consumers want
I like the redesign, but the lower side vent is angled wrong. The top edge toward the front of the car makes it awkward looking. It also flies in the face of the styling of all the previous designs. I think you took the fast back in this design just a bit too far. It needs some over hang at the back.
Where's the 70 and 72 mustangs? I've seen people leave the mach 1 out when going through the generations before, but it looks more like a generational leap than the 65 to 67 changes. Is the mach 1 just a big cosmetic change or something? 😅
What do you think about the styling of the second generation Ford Probe GT? While I’m definitely glad Ford abandoned plans to replace the Mustang with this, but, judged on its own, I still like the styling of the second generation Probe GT. Would love to see you update that for the modern era!

Well done. The design of the front of the Fox Mustang evolved a lot between 1979 and 1993, before and after the appearance of the flush headlights. Your design reminds me more the sealed beam lights era. Finally, the Fox plateform was used between 1979 and 2004 : for Mustang 3, melted cheese Mustang 4 and sharp Mustang 4. Redesign French cars please. Try with Gandini's Citroën BX, or the brilliant Peugeot 205
I love that the 93 Fox body was my favourite mustang. This new rendering is super sick. I am a challenger hellcat SRT guy myself but I would definitely race this mustang render if I saw it on the street. Great job awesome video
I think if the headlights were flipped upside down, it'd probably would've felt more like a foxbody, but nonetheless a good design!
It needs the high beam and 3 fade bars like the ones now, it can keep the daytime running lights on the bottom but it would look more mustang if it had those bars 😅😅😏😏😏 but I'd gladly buy one right now with a 5.0L under the hood, not a bad looking redesign 😏😏

yeah I felt the same way

It's perfectly alright, the Camaro was a knockoff Mustang in 67.
The early Foxes had the quad headlights, which was later featured on the 1990s Camaro, which had the long beak-like appearance.

94/95 mustangs had the intake/vent functionality but the 96/98 models dropped it i believe because of drag on the rear wheels

Redesign French cars please. Try with Gandini's Citroën BX, or the brilliant Peugeot 205
I like how you called it
Seems like it might work, but I think the Mustang Horse emblem should remain on the grill. & put the spoiler back on.
I would actually like to build this. Would be a super fun project car. Looks way dope.
It’s sweet, you should’ve kept the wing on it.
93 lx gt was the best mustang ever made, loved the little trunk.
Yeah put the original Fox body lights back on and the rear spoiler and that fox is golden
3:57 The "New Edge" came out around late '98.
honestly this look like a cool FSO Polonez reimagination 🤣
I love that the 93 Fox body was my favourite mustang. This new rendering is super sick. I am a challenger hellcat SRT guy myself but I would definitely race this mustang render if I saw it on the street. Great job awesome video
Looks like a 1995 Ford Thunderbird in the font
I love the Gween house effect
I think the 2020 2021 headlights would look good on this fox body.
May I suggest a hatchback Fox with early 80's IMSA bodywork, just toned down a bit for the street.
Definitely need to do a redesign of the 80's and early 90's Camaro
