@Sullivan Franklin thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I agree the only thing they should’ve put speed limitations on is the stuff for the kids the Ebanks, the electric bikes for the kids and the parents be able to control the controller so the parents could keep a limit on the kids and for us adults speed comes with responsibility so I believe that if you are old enough, you should be able to do whatever you want with your bike as long as you’re not putting other people in jeopardy when you are putting people in jeopardy it becomes a problem. That’s why everything has to be done the safe way.
Will the Dilithium Chamber be able to handle the increased amount of Anti-matter? Did you modify the articulation frame and compensate for the dynamic impedance? Finally, is there any increase or danger from the Possible theta Radiation from your drone parts? Other than that, this is a very simple modification. I would anticipate 15 minutes of work.
For those who find this complicated to build, there is a similar product that is completed and easy to install. It costs something like 70-80 bucks. Btw, thanks Higher Voltage for this video
45mph is madness on a bike lolz, you gotta love these kits, i recommend a BIG FAT TYRE it helps soak up the TORQUE you get from a heavy motor rotating on an axle.
that only works if you are a kid and don't have a drivers license. Otherwise the police comes from behind and takes your papers -assuming you were driving on a street. Lawfully it's not legal with any bike, electric or not, to ride there. But it is somewhat tolerated for non powered ebikes.
That was me out for a leisurely bike run ! When you passed me my scarf got caught on your bike and you towed me for miles till you slowed down and I overtook you , Talk about burning rubber - 😳
Another option would be a ttl clock divider. Or a Pic and simple bit of code so it times the pulses and gives you correct speed up to the cut off then keeps it at just below the cut off. Then at least the speedometer works some of the time.
Or, just use a 4017 integrated circuit and divide the true speed by 2. Install inline with the existing sensor so you can use the power from the bike for the circuit. Install a bypass switch so you can switch from stock to divide by two. The speedometer would read exactly half, so multiply by 2 to get true speed.
@@deandre1988 No tutorials exist for using the 4017 in an ebike. However, tutorials exist for using the 4017 to divide the original frequency down. A lot of the examples feature a 555 as a frequency generator (would be the hall pickup or reed switch on the ebike) and dividing that frequency down to light LEDs at a slower rate (or trigger the ebike controller slower). Note that all the speed modifications do is raise the top speed slightly- because most motors are sized to top out rpm wise only slightly higher than the legal limit. The only real way to go faster than that is to increase battery voltage, which may require a new higher voltage rated motor controller.
I followed the instuctions and it worked even better than i expected when i push top speed button i can travel 50 years into the future i put low speed and travel back 50 years 😂
I think it was easier for Mr. Scott to get the SS Enterprise more speed and all he had to deal with was the anti-matter di-lithium crystals and the warp propulsion engines.🤓
Higher Voltage-I built your circuit but It is not working as expected. The transistor at "Q2" is over heating within 1 minute or even within 20 seconds it becomes too hot to touch. Do you have any ideas where I may have assembled the components wrong. I used a 9volt battery and your circuit board design, but I have not been able to produce a pulse from the coil.
I haven't got my ebike from UPS yet, but if you're not using the controller's speedometer anyway, can't you just go into the program and tell it you are using smaller wheels? Had to do the opposite when putting a lift with much larger tires on my Jeep Unlimited. Just reprogrammed the cpu and all better than stock.
Great video! I was wondering if you happen to know how to unlock the top speed on a kd58c display, so that I can go 28 mph plus on throttle only? I have a 2024 Sole E (24). I have watched every RUclips video related to the kd58c display, and Reddit, and I can’t find anything. Thanks
I accidentally disabled the throttle on My himiwaybike when I increased the petal assistance from 0/5 to 09 . Now it only has petal assistance from #3 & up . When the bike is in garage throttle moves bike from #1 thru #9 . How do I turn throttle back on ?
Couple, few questions. Is this solution limitted to mid dr ive, how do we modify cadence sensor? Just put this in place of magnets? How is action of controlling bike, with continuing pulses telling motor to keep accelerating faster and faster, how does this effect normal riding? Should we power the pulse generator from signal of cadence and/or brake cut off switches? Is it possible to burn up motor windings and/or controller?
If you're going to do this mod at home, I have one suggestion. Since it's said that the speedometer on the bike isn't going to be working, I would suggest downloading a speedometer app for your phone. With the app running, at least you have an idea of how fast you're going.
put that coil in making on the drill, slow speed and use cut resistant glove when you're feeding the wire, you will have that coiled up in no time... also, heat shrink instead of electrical tape
What do you think about the magnet hack, I did it now I get error 503 so I've had to put it back I still get error 503 can I fix it by getting a new sensor nobody seems to know
Do you get it as soon as you turn the bike on? Try tapping the sensor with the back of a screwdriver. To me it just sounds like it is stuck. If it isn't simply stuck, the sensor could be faulty.
Thanks for this but I'd really like a schematic to look at so that I can make the board using perfboard instead of having to go through the trouble of making a regular PC board. Also, what is the pulse rate of the 555 timer set for? I'm guessing that it should be the same as what was being displayed on your bike computer? Looks like you left out the transistors in your parts list. What diameter should the washers be when winding the coil? OK, never mind. I think I figured it out. 555 is running in astable mode at around 14 hz? 330 ohm and 51K ohm resistors plus 1 uf cap setup the 50% duty cycle of the 555 at 14 hz. Driving two transistors connected in parallel to handle the coils current load. 7809 voltage regulator to power the 555 and coil. 33 uf cap for stabilizing the output of the 7809. The diode is across the electromagnet to protect the transistors against back EMF. Might want to include a resistor between the output of the 555 and the transistor to protect the output of the 555. Around 470 ohm should do it. Think I'll try this on my e-bike. Not that I really need to go faster than 20 mph with motor assist. Might be fun to play around with though. As far as knowing your actual speed, I guess installing a separate bike cyclometer could take care of that.
The timer can run at just about any speed below 4hz. Mine is running around 2Hz. The transistor is run in saturation mode so the voltage drop across it is low delivering maximum power to the coil. The number of turns in the coil is up to you. I suggest as many winds as you can get on there.
If only I never had constantly played with my dozens and dozens of lead toy soldiers which used to have most of the paint worn off as a kid , I might have been able do this for my Bike :))
Can't I just go into the computer and set the wheel size to 12 inches. Then my 27 inch wheels will spin as fast as 12 inch wheels need to spin to reach the limited speed.
