What do u mean by flattening the board?
Happy to help! When we talk about a flatter snowboard, or flattening the board, this is all to do with the amount of edge angle we are using. In these powder conditions, a flatter board means that we are using a low amount of edge angle. This helps us to keep the snowboard from sinking into the snow too much, as with a lower edge angle (flatter board) there is more surface area to keep the board afloat.
