Better Call Saul: 25 Things You Missed

- Опубликовано: 6 авг 2024
- The experimental ending of Better Call Saul wrapped up the final season as well as the timeline for both Breaking Bad and El Camino. After being arrested does Saul try to escape? What does the future of the Heisenberg universe have in store? Will Gene the Cinnabon man spend the rest of his years at ADX Montrose? Better Call Saul is a spinoff series that has exceeded the expectations of its predecessor. For many it's a prequel delving deeper into the characters from a show that already ended, but for others Better Call Saul is a more compelling and character driven story than Breaking Bad. The show provides useful context and lore to many of Saul's lines like his deflection tactic of oppression; and lures fans in with world building Easter eggs much more exciting than the "SG WAS HERE" tags that Gene leaves around. I'm here to give you what you're waiting for, and this one's 25 things you missed in Better Call Saul. The Intros, Cinematography, Timeline, Domingo Molina, Better Call Lalo, Saul’s Items, Howard Hamlin, Ehrmantrout Family, Episode Titles, Flashbacks, Saul’s Influences, Breaking Bad References, Finger Guns, Saul’s Goons, Mike's Items, D-Day, Slippin Jimmy, Perfect Mark, Bonus Content, Familiar Faces, Easter Egg Businesses, Chicken Bomb, What’s Next. Things you missed include Wayfarer, Color in the Black and White sequences, Better Call Saul Advertisements, Slippin Jimmy, Employee Training, Legal Training, Safety Training, Filmmaker Training, Breaking Bad Cartoons, Better Call Saul Cartoons, Possible Sequel, Vince Gilligan, Thomas Scnauz, Peter Gould, Ann Cherkis.

Which easter egg did you not miss from this video?
The Blue ribbon
Everytime I mention this show to someone who hasn't watched it, I tell them, "Its storytelling at its pinnacle, and it is fantastic."
I think the last time he uses the finger guns you see him holster them. He doesn’t do that in any other scene when he uses them
Waltuh, put your finger away waltuh
Wow
BCS: One of the best show ever made.
And the best prequel show
The water analogy is so good… solid, liquid, gas = Saul, Jimmy, Gene
3 different phases, same man
Carol Burnett's first appearance in season 6 - Episode 10 " Nippy". She is trying to reach the Carnation Instant Milk Cans from the shelf in the grocery store. Her friend and co-star from the Carol Burnett Show, Vicky Lawrence, was well known for her TV commercials promoting Carnation products.
About the value 737.612,62
737 the value walt said
612 the 12 episode of season 6
62 the total of episodes until this episode of better call saul
Very underrated comment
People say it is boring...yes some episodes were slow paced but when it was fast paced there were some real wtf moments, which anyway made perfect sense, especially after rewatching and picking up on all the small details. I will miss this show.
Yup if someone had not paid attention to Lalo's small steps of getting to the climax of his plan of revenge and skipped those 'boring' scenes... they would not feel those gut-wrenching scary goosebumps when they would see Lalo's sudden 'demonic' appearance during Jimmy and Howards verbal feud...
Every second of the final season gave me the same anxiety and excitement as the final season of Breaking Bad.
It was less action driven than BB but much more character driven. Both are gold, comes down to personal preferences I think
I’m glad I watched BCS but I don’t think i will watch it ever again, just clips on youtube. BB is a series I would like to come back again from time to time. While I very much enjoyed BCS I do think the slow paced episodes made it harder to rewatch
One thing. Mike didn't regret the revenge. I think it regrets telling Matty to take the money in the first place. At least that's what I think
Thanks, that was my thought as well.
Speaking of the iconic Ms. Burnett, you missed the Easter Egg from the first, I believe, season in which Chuck and his wife come up with a signal to end the evening if Saul gets too... Saul, which was the Carol Burnett Ear Lobe Tug.
Amazing observation/memory😮
Do you know the definition of an easter egg
Better Call Saul is a Masterpiece
Wish the college film crew would of been mentioned, they played there part very well
Ah, I see y'all found my Waterworks/Monopoly reference. And people said I was "reaching." HA!
No more shows from this universe. Thats said, the genius writing of Vince and Peter I think warrants a new show in a new universe
Think they’ll atleast do one more movie. They have a great relationship with Netflix, the title went from “El Camino: The Breaking Bad story” to “…A Breaking Bad story. He said the possibility is open so never say never. I don’t think he would say that if it wasn’t possible especially since he isn’t afraid to be upfront and say he’s done making shows in the universe even though his network is publicly asking him. Just food for thought. I like to think they’ll do A Rise of Gus movie as a compromise to Giancarlo Esposito for stating he would like a show about Gus’ Origin.
But yes totally agree a whole new show in a completely different area, ig it can be in the same universe but not a story that’s so connected as drastically as the last two. Maybe just a way to leave Easter eggs in for fans of Peter Gould and Vince
@@AutisticOrphan the rise of Gus Fring would be pretty awesome...but I am worried that Giancarlo Esposito might look too old to portray a young Gus. Yes, they can deage him digitally but in most cases the result is a bit weird. This being said, I will watch anything related to BB/BCS!
We already know what is next. Vince is working on a whole new show, with a "twilight zone" type of feel. Completely different. Vince being from the X Files world, this makes sense as a next move. That said, I do want another movie or 2 from this universe eventually, if they find the right story to tell to bring us back there.
Only 25? 50 years from now they'll still be finding Easter eggs in Gillian's work.
Can’t wait to watch this video.
I’m going to miss this show with all my heart. I was so pleased it had a superb finale. I personally liked it better than Breaking Bad.
This show is possibly the best spinoff series ever created!
I agree wholeheartedly.
@@bussin_buses thanks so very much
We need a “Lyle: the Assistant to the Assistant Drug Lord” spinoff series
The best show ever. I’ll miss it
I want to sleep...now I saw this popping up...glad to stay awake for the good stuff :D
I would love to see a Mike prequel (Vietnam possibly) and early police days.
Better call Saul is a Peter Pan adaptation…. Change my mind…. Better call Saul
Is Peter Pan
1. “Saul Good”man= pan =all of everything he does magic and trickery he does commercials hence he flies.
2. Chuck is clearly Captain Hook
3. Kim wexler is both Wendy and tink
A. A Kimberly is a place where Diamond come from
B. The definition of “wex” is to grow
4. The cartel is the Indians
5. The sand Piper clients or the concept of sand Piper are the mermaids
6. Mike Ehrmantraut and Marco Pasternak amongst others are the lost boys.
7. Howard is Smee
Mesa Credit Union is NOT the same thing as Mesa Verde bank. Also it is confirmed that Mike served in Vietnam during the 2nd season.
I would like a gus spinoff as well cause one can only imagine what he's done to get where he's at!
I’d be so interested seeing a huell babineux series
This is so good I mean Vince and Peter literally thought of everything. Masterpiece of a show, just brilliant
$737,612.62
$737 (amount Walt needed)
612 (season 6 episode 12)
62 (62nd episode of the series)
I love your videos
LOL at ScreenRant dude wearing his best court suit for the video
You missed the magic guy is buzz from home alone
Jimmy actually does reach for a gun in the dessert during the Bagman shootout. He looks at it and quickly drops it when there is one cartel gang member left.
Waterworks triple meaning is so amazing
Moray? Also great video
I learned a lot
I finished watching it and i love it
Mike verified his veteran status during one of the episodes.
imagine not introducing the guy as buzz from home alone
I wish I could rewatch it as not having watched it yet. Best show ever. :)
Correct me if I am wrong, but does Mike not use a Taurus Judge revolver, the powerful little number that fires .410 & .45? Actually now that I look, he packs model 85 to be exact... haha
They look similar to that S&W, though. So can be easy to confuse.
my mans really said "frozen water" like we wouldn't get it if he just said "ice"
i would love to see more about mike's history or lalo salamanca in a new show
I think we could get a prequel movie for Gus, similar to El Camino being the epilogue to Breaking Bad.
You'd have to recast the part. The actor is too old for a prequel to the prequel
@@christheghostwriter maybe they should get the guy who played a young Stan Edgar in The Boys season 3!
Yeah he's too old
This is my favourite show ever i cant lie
As cool as that restaurant blowing-up sequence was, it always bugged me that Gus used a whole frozen chicken that apparently just happened to be in the freezer. Why would a fast food restaurant that sells exclusively processed chicken sections even have a whole chicken in it's freezer? Also, in the final flashback with Cchuck you can clearly see that Jimmy is wearing the pinky ring he inherited from Marco, which would mean the scene cannot be taking place any earlier than around the first episode of Season 2, except that makes no sense because by that point Chuck & Jimmy's relationship had deteriorated to the point where Jimmy was no longer bringing Chuck supplies. The only possible explanation was that the ring had to be a production mistake, a continuity error that for most shows wouldn't be any big deal at all, but seems almost impossible for BCS, a show that's always prided itself on the close attention it pays to minor details like that, and indeed routinely *relies* on just that sort of minor, subtle detail to establish a scene's setting in the timeline to begin with (i.e., the date of the sticker on the LWYR UP plate on the back of his iconic White Caddy as we finally see it in Plan and Execution.)
Damn. Good catch on the pinky ring. I'll have to go back and re-re-watch it.
As sad as it makes me to say, that would be a production / continuity oversight.
I would a like a spinoff detailing the rise of Madrigal Electromotive GmBh.
This video is a good example of apophenia, seeing patterns and connections where they were unintended.
I screamed at "The kid lawyer from 30 Rock" because omg that's where I know him from lmao
I’m here to see what we missed
8:42 well, character assassination, anyway
Is the movie about the Lawyer the same one Adrianna watched in the Sopranos? 😮
So Gene only lasted a few months in Nebraska?
Just started the video, but at 2:35 the graphic has the mall heist in the month previous to Saul calling Francesca(and calling Kim the same day). However Gene/Saul was propelled into 'slipping' and doing the mall heist after the phone call with Kim.
Mike’s Tales from the Force
"It was revealed that jesse had never heard of lalo and saul was trying to get walt into his pocket". I missed something here as this line doesn't make sense to me, can someone help clarify?
After watching BCS I went back and I rewatched clips of BB realized the weird dialogue with Hispanic actors
Yea...cause you know what i've missed.
"Better Ding Fring"💀💀💀
best show ever
Toilet Buddy was played by Daniel Day Lewis
i think the next series is about gus. nothing much about young gus other than He's from chile. They are building some mysteries about him like eldio mentioning that he didn't kill him because he knows what fring does in chile.
Better cal Saul -Saul goodman
You forgot Spooge!
So you guys were all really super satisfied with how it wrapped up? Just asking. For me I'm like blown away by the positive response. Thought for sure it would be somehow controversial. Guess they nailed it again!
The ending landed the reason the show was made, a story about redemption and still being bittersweet. Whats a story without purpose and this show nailed its purpose
@@ohiodoesnt_exist6690 I guess it's now conclusive, in the BB/BCS world, crime 100% never, ever, ever, pays. Nobody gets away anything.
It was the best finale I’ve ever seen possibly. Up there with the office imo
Waterworks also means Kim's tears.
737,612.62. $737,000is what Walt says he needs and 737 is the number is the flight that crashed. 612 is Episode 6-12. 62 is the 62nd episode in the series-63 in all.
Mike outright says he served in Vietnam, no?
chuck gave jimmy advice on the day i was born common decrbts dub
i would like a sequel show with jesse. yeah they had the movie with him, but that was 50% flashbacks. maybe even another prequel with gus. after that, probably retire the franchise to be honest.
The only minor thing I didn't like was ADX Montrose. ADX Florence houses dangerous terrorists like the Unabomber. Jimmy wouldn't go there after being allowed to go to a low security prison. It's 100% solitary confinement with no visitors.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
You deff need to watch breaking bad first, as the scenes with Saul will pull you in. After watching breaking bad, saul was deff my favorite character. Watched better call saul after finishing breaking bad and honestly, I thought better call saul was an overall better show than breaking bad. Breaking bad had its periods of filler episodes, much less in better call saul. Breaking bad had an insane beginning, saul was much more continuous.
Better Ding Fring lmao
I usually don’t like Screen Rant. Up until now. Please keep this format. …and host if possible..
I hate how this show will forever be linked to breaking bad, it was so much better and really different.
I think a Hank show would be cool
The Slippin Jimmy cartoon was an abomination
First I fell in love with Negan.
Now Lalo.
My choice in men needs some work.
The first time I watched BCS was before I got clean. I didn't like Jimmy and had a crush on Michael Mando (Nacho) and loved the swat team scene early in season 3 or so.
Next time around, I was sober (still am). This is one of the saddest shows I've ever seen. A man looses his name, house, reputation and the girl to his own ego. Every black and what BCS song is about Kim. So damn sad.
Exceeds the expectations of its predecessor? What does that eve mean?
the white noise between sections hurts the ears of 5 to 10 percent of the world, anyone with hearing damaged, especially tinnitus. I would ditch it. Makes this unwatchable and you're losing watchers. It's also a missed opportunity: I would have used Hector's bell anyway, (but not loud.)
BCS >>>>>> Breaking Bad in terms of visual storytelling !!
Where is this breaking_bad_the_movie?
r/lostmedia is where I found it
You need a better microphone and work on your inflections.
Regarding the finger guns... at the very end when Jimmy is in prison and he does the final finger guns to Kim, if you notice at 1:08:04 Kim is doing the finger gun with her hand down. I thought this tiny detail was really brilliant.
👌👍👏👏
