    I love rewatching these videos, I learn something new every time. I see that you shoot split finger, I was taught to shoot 3 under but I see the value in shooting split finger since you will address the string exactly the same every time. Thanks again, RC you are an absolute legend!

    The pig dying ten steps from the road made me laugh...I once shot a Wisconsin whitetail buck and it covered 300 yards after the hit to die twenty yards in front of my truck on the two track on which I drove in! LOL

    Hey Robert, I like your ridges, the ones around here are straight up and down and can be rather high at that. Always an awesome sign to find mud on the sides of the trees. mud with hog hair imbedded in the bark. Love the hog wallows too. You keep slinging those arrows like you do, love it so much that I go back and watch your videos several times.

    Nice spot and stalk rob.
    I missed 4 deer this year with my longbow and was feeling pretty discouraged about it.
    But the last week of the season I made a good shot on a sow.
    Keep up the great videos 👍.

    The part where you said to take a compass bearing of the last sighting clicked with me. Just tracked 2 deer at night that would were found on their line of travel. I will be doing that from now on. Thank you.

    Also , I see your backpack in this video. Do you just bone out the good chunks, bag them and haul out? Granted this one was really close to your truck but normally you are back in there a ways.

    • @robertcarte95
      @robertcarte95  2 года назад +1

      Yessir I bone out all the meat and carry it out in the pack. Even if it is close to the road. I only drag one to the nearest high spot to get it done. I get all the meat with very little waste. Same on deer.

    I'm not sure where you are, however I would be stepping on top of the log instead of stepping over. That way you can see the snake as you step on him. Just a thought. (It hurt too)

    Excellent video. One of these days I'm going to make it down there to experience this. Getting a pig with and longbow is an all time bucket list animal. Were you one public? So after small game season ends you can't hunt pigs anymore?

    • @robertcarte95
      @robertcarte95  2 года назад +1

      I was on public land. I hunt 95% of the time on public land. You can only hunt pigs on a wma' when there is something in season.

      I love hunting and shooting with Hill style bows. They are my favorite. I don't like a quiver on my bow but trying to film and hunting miles from the truck it's just more convenient.
