Might I suggest Glenn Yarbrough's 'The Greatest Adventure' from Rankin-Bass's 'The Hobbit' soundtrack? He has an amazing warble. :3
I know im randomly asking but does someone know a method to get back into an instagram account??
I stupidly lost the account password. I love any tricks you can give me.
@Camilo Matthias Instablaster ;)
@Cayden Grady i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im trying it out now.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Fun fact: Idina Menzel audition for tangled but the directors thought she was just too powerful for the dainty Rapunzal so they saved her for a future project. So she was one of the first people that was thought of for the role of Elsa solely for the power ballads
should've been shoshana bean.
@@kalakalachuchu As with literally everything that idina menzel has touched. Shoshana is superior
Smarti3pants Didn't Kristen bell also audition?
@@Natenoooo16 i agree..soshana is far better..she has a more pleasant voice and a superior technique..
@@ASadPigeon probably, I dont know about
If Lea Salonga had an album where she sang every Disney song, I’d buy it.
Yes! How do we make this happen
Check YT she something close to what you're talking about and yes its in an Album Disney medley is the title
She does.
yeees!!
Heck I'll buy 10 of it for my family and friends got ear wash
Sad Fact: The voice actress for a Cinderella, Ilene Woods suffered from Alzheimer’s and forgot that she even voiced Cinderella, and this song. But, the nurses who took care of her actually played this song and she loved it and was most comforted by it, and she didn’t know who sang it. That honestly makes me want to cry...
Awww...
So sad
Aww😦
🥺🥺🥺
@@Khir.04Awe, that is just sad 😔
Lea Salonga's voice has really aged the best! She sounds almost exactly the same in 2015 as she did in 1991! Her voice is so pristine, so pure, so sweet, so POWERFUL. She's my favorite Disney Princess.
Yes i agree, her voice has become cleaner and prettier as well. She has taken good care of her vocals all these years
I agree. Judy Kuhn showed out well too.
yeeees!!
YES SHE'S A LEGEND!
Aged like a fine wine. 👌
Having been invited to voiced in Disney is rare.. Lea is the only one who sang for two Disney princesses.
Cant believe tangled was 10 years ago :o
Ohno i'm old
Omg
Whhaaaa???
Ikr
That's not okay. At all.
Can we just...for a moment...Lea Salonga’s voice didn’t change across 23 YEARS.
Came for Tara, stayed for Lea Salonga!
Lea will always be the darling of Disney princesses. 🥰
Hoo-ah
@@user-uv4xm1lw9c its ooh rah
SAME
Anika Noni Rose blows me away with her sheer power. One of my faves by far.
So the Snow White live recording was 35 years after the studio recording? That's pretty darn impressive!
Wow, looks like they really directly modeled Cinderella's face and expressions after the singer.
I've seen Jodi Benson in concert two or three times. She usually sounds better than that recording. And she absolutely loves singing "Colors of the Wind". (Disclaimer: It's probably been 15 years since I've seen her.)
I agree on Paige O'Hara. I may have seen her in concert once, too; but the video here definitely sounds disappointing. I hope it was just an off day for her. Her performances on the studio recordings were always among my favorites.
Lea Salonga is fantastic -- past, present, and surely future. She's a pro among pros. Absolutely spectacular. I _wish_ I could see her in concert!
I agree Mandy Moore's recording is the epitome of Disney princesses. And Kristen Bell is just perfect for Anna -- beautiful voice and hilarious.
Love Julie Fowlis's recording -- and that song! I like that acoustic version!
Auli'i Cavalho is another perfect Disney princess voice -- the studio recording and live (no, I haven't seen her in person, just several videos of live performances). So amazing!
I think since people like Jodi Benson started performing live after their Disney recordings, Disney's figured out they need to pick (and/or train) people who can deliver excellent performances live, too.
I completely agree that the modern trends toward having women with huge vocal power is a great thing! Soft and delicate and gentle is still nice when they choose -- and some of them show that near the beginning of their signature songs -- but having all that power and control is so captivating and inspiring!
They did model the animation on the vocalists in early Disney movies. They also had them act out scenes live to give the animators life model sources for their work.
@@valashar5313 - I knew they did it in later films (like from TLM on -- have even seen videos from Disney about it*), but I hadn't seen any video of the voice actors from the older films. I didn't realize they were already modeling them after the voice actors on the earlier films, especially modeling them that closely. It makes sense, since it gives them a reference of what somebody really does look like when they're singing that song or speaking the other parts.
* Disclaimer/side note: I realize some of the newer characters were modeled as sort of a composite of several people -- including the voice actors, but also other people. For example, Ariel was modeled not only after Jodi Benson, but also Sherri Stoner (I think she was the primary reference) and Alyssa Milano (obviously, at the age she was at the time).
I'd like to hear Lea Salonga sing her third Disney princess song. The clarity of her crystal clear voice is awesome. You can understand every word that comes out of her mouth. She continues to sing "A Whole New World" and " Reflection" in her concerts & her voice only gets better.
Lea definitely still has the most clear, beautiful, and Disney perfect voice. Paige O'Hara was such a wonderful singer when she was younger but her voice definitely didn't age as well as some of the others. To be fair, 1991-2011is a long time while some of these are fairly recent so we're not seeing what 10+ years does to all of their voices. Auli'i's voice is gorgeous but that live clip is only a year or two after she originally sang for Moana.Great job as always Tara! Keep doing more Disney!
Lea Salonga is the queen of disney world....!!
I'm not the least surprised by Anika. She's a vocal beast. That was a beautiful intro btw.
I'M LIVING FOR THE INTRO😍😍
@@ES11777 ❤️❤️❤️ she's a queen
That intro was so cringe
@@MC-oj4en that's okay if you didn't like it.. I personally think that it was beautiful 😅
@@MC-oj4en I loved the intro lol
Seriously
Hi Tara,
Usually when I see those "Live/Studio" or "Then/Now" videos, there's often arguments in the comments about whether the difference in singing is due to strain or age or something like that.
But artists like Lea Salonga sound the same, despite a twenty year gap.
Wondered if you might be able to talk about voice changes as a result of aging, and why some people appear to be affected and others not.
Hugs, a Tarabyte.
To add on that maybe react to video about vocal damage (there are videos about idina menzel and other singers) and do you agree that it is vocal damage or just bad techniques?
@@jessboo173 Interesting that you mention Menzel because there are claims she had damage after singing in Wicked, but either there wasn't any damage or she's recovered from it. Would be interesting to get Tara's thoughts on that.
Colors of the wind is so underrated how powerful its message is...it chokes me up every time.....RIP Kobe
All these Disney connections, Tara. I'm sensing a role in your future.
I love the feminine and pure voices of Disney from back in the day. Especially how pure Jasmine sounds. Love it. Side note: Belle and Ariel are my princess 🤣
Judy Kuhn and Lea Salong were in the LEs Mis 10th Anniversary together
I love all those but when Pocahontas starts singing I sit straighter, there's just something about this particular song that blows me away.
I completely agree there’s something so unique about Judy Kuhn’s voice I’m obsessed about!!
right? it's Judy's voice and the lyrics of the song. Alan Menken is a genius.
judy kuhn!!!!!! i love her voice so much ❤️❤️
Friendly reminder to look for the truth (: but it sounds nice otherwise
I really love messages of the Pocahontas song. It is the past and present of humanity.
How does Lea sound the exact sameeee?!?!! Amazinggggg!!
I came here after binge watching Lea Salonga’s videos starting from her audition for Miss Saigon to her studio recording videos for Aladdin and Mulan, to Les Miserables and other live performances on broadway. ❤️❤️❤️
The intro Is adorable😂😙
JUDY AND LEA are my favorite, Clear Voice and Pronounciation.
Lea Salonga has almost the same tone. Matured a bit but still. She is never the only singing voice for 2 princesses for nothing.
p.s. @12:19 is my favorite expression... So I say it to you as well. More Power!!!
YAAAAS, LEA SALONGA!!! SHE REALLY ALWAYS KILLED IT!!!!
This was such an interesting video -- it's so amazing to see the change in feminine voice over time as society changed and women asserted themselves in greater numbers, and how that bore itself out in the musical numbers and roles being portrayed -- but one thing is CONSTANT -- Lea and Idina are QUEENS OF ALL THINGS and TIMELESS!
Mandy Moore is my ultimate favorite disney princess voice, i agree with you tara she is indeed the epitome of a Disney princess voice🥰
I wish they had a live recording of Mary Costa as Princess Aurora! The best princess voice imo
I'm sure that Lea is heeeereeee 😍😍😍
Check out Italian voice of Anna: her name is Serena Rossi, she's an actress and a singer for movies and musicals! Regards from Italy
Evita
I watched the Italian Frozen in my Italian language class and my friends and I all agreed Anna had an amazing voice!
Anika noni rose was the BEST OF ALL IN THIS COMPLIATION
The difference for the movie Reflection and the live one may be because the movie has the shortened version of Reflection while Lea always sings the original song in live performances.
Lea's voice my God! There is no significant change on her voice from 1992 up to the present.
I like how Tara is name dropping here! "Fun fact: Jodi Benson is my cousin's mentor, and Kristen Bell is my BFF's cousin!". Those connections would really help Tara break into the music Industry if she's looking to become a professional recording artist, a Broadway performer, etc.
The lady who sang for snow white had a classically trained operatic voice. Definitely look up old recordings of her singing in house boat. Stunning!! Also, look up the singer in sleeping beauty. She also was a classically trained singer who starred in operas at the met. Her jewl aria is beautiful!!
Can you please react to Naomi Scott singing "Speechless"? I feel like her voice and technique are really good and that the song has some interesting vowels and register choices. I would love to hear Tara's insight on this performance. Thanks! :)
Lea's voice is so clear 😍
I'm surprised Julie Andrews has never voiced an animated Disney princess! She had the perfect singing voice for it.
The intro had me thinking, I should win the lottery and then have you flying to South Africa to train me for a full year straight.😭😭😭😭😭😭
When you realize Tangled was 10 years ago.... O_O
The song sung in the Disney movie Mulan was my absolute favorite i think it's called Reflection
We have to remember also that the older you get the harder it is to keep your pitch as you used to when you were younger your voice deepens...is that a word?...
The progression of vocals for Disney is quite insane when we look at them like this. I love it!
Always LOVED Colors of the Wind but didn't watch a live version until now. I started crying and felt so much emotion. Wow!
7:40 "I feel like I don't sound feminine." Girl 😂 I'm a 17 yrs old girl and I sing in the tenor - I feel you 😂
I love these new intros 😍
I'm a 23-yr old man and I am not ashamed to say that I am a Disney fan. I grew up with these films... 😍🥰
I remember after seeing the original Mulan, I went to a CD shop to see who sang Reflection, and heard about Christina Aguilera for the first time. Still my favourite song of hers
No not Christina is the original
The gorgeous David Campbell singing with Lea in the 2015 Aladdin Clip. He has an amazing voice too!
The pitch accuracy in that intro 👏🏻
I love your princess chair. You are channeling your inner Disney Princess, especially with that intro!
I love Disney.
I love Tara.
I love the intro.
Can this video be more perfect?
Awww!! No, I love YOU!!
Hahahah gotta love you Tara the intro was everything :D
Please react to either "Amber Riley covering 1+1 by Beyonce" or "Shoshana Bean and Amber Riley Never Loved A Man Live at the Ace" I'd love to see you reacting to Amber Riley
salumi yes!! Shoshana and Amber Riley!!!
I wanna voice a singing Disney character I'm a boy but nobody really talks about the boy characters voices lol
youll be there someday man
@@neinnine thank you 😁
Glad I'm not the only who wants to be a disney character😂
pikachu soulreaver sad but true...the difference between male and female disney singer's fanbase is huge.
Btw...I reaaaally love Shang's Ill make a man out of you.
I love how unique Quasimodo’s voice is! The guy who played him in the Broadway version a few years ago had a STUNNING voice.
It’s amazing how great they all sounded. I expected more variety between live and studio, but for the most part everyone sounded very much the same.
OOH, Can't you react to Disney in different languages? I'm from Sweden, and I'm so proud of the Swedish voices in older Disney movies. They are (and yes, I may be a "little" biased) some of the best dubbed versions. Though there are a lot of beautiful versions in other language.
Only movie the Swedish dubb was awful was lionking 2.. but yes rest is fine
Tara you are such a QUEEN I love it!
Cinderella, Ariel and Belle, Tiana, Jasmin are my favourite voices, sweet and powerfull with perfect mix and no yelling.
I love your work. I always enjoy Disney songs. Adriana Caselotti was a soubrette soprano. I used to love Ilene Woods as Cinderella, loved that dramatic sound to her voice.
OMG Love this! All these Disney Princesses have such elegant voices!! Big fan of the Disney Princess!
Fun fact: the voice actress for Pocahontas, Judy Kuhn originated Cosette in Les Miserables on Broadway.
Ver-sa-ti-li-ty. That's what we see in Tara!
Fun fact during the recording of the song “Something There” for Beauty and the Beast when Paige was singing “New and a bit alarming” she was going down on the word alarming and Howard Ashman was telling her to go Streisand on that word so that is what is heard in the finished product.
LOVE THIS INTRO! Perfection! I almost expected you to be in a full length ball gown, with a tiara.
Mrs. Caselotti and Mrs. Woods are incredible singers
I like how you have analysis of their singing technique. Some vocal coaches' reaction is just WOW..WOW...WOW...and no explanation.
Can you react to gospel singers “ honor of Bebe & CECE” they did really good honoring them
I think some gospel would be interesting to hear your input on, Ms. Tara!
😍😍 love the intro. Tara’s a vocal queen. Great reaction btw.
Mandy is the embodiment of a Disney princess
Tara, you are so good, and hilarious with your geeking out. 😄
I love the song Cinderella sings when dancing with Prince Charming, So this is Love, mmm mmmm!!!
Ooh... That was the best vocal intro so far, Tara. (All were great)
Thank you for including Anika Noni Rose.
ah, Ilene Woods has always been my absolute favourite!!
Please react to "The Movie in My Mind" - Eva Noblezada and Rachell Ann Go. Thanks Tara 🥰
Anna: For the first time in forever, nothing's in my way! *Gets hit by a horse seconds later*
LOL 😂
oh my gosh the ad before your video was from St. Judes. and i got caught up in her story and watched the whole thing crying LOL
The girl who was the voice of Moana was also in the shortlived, but SO GOOD show on NBC, Rise. And in that show, they do Spring Awakening, which she will also be a lead in the upcoming film version of it.
lea salonga voice is HD clear from ages to ages!
Me:
Tara: Kristen Bell is my best friend’s cousin
She didn't say that o.O
Huh? I could have sworn she said KB was her "bff's cousin." Edit, I watched it again and Tara said exactly, " Fun fact, Kristen Bell is my bff's cousin." Jarel was correct.
Yes. @8:12
That intro is the best so far omg ahahaha! 💕
That song from brave brought back memories. I used to belt that out in the car on my way to work.
I’m surprised there was no live recording of Mary Costa. Sleeping Beauty has one the most iconic singing voices in Disney
I'd love to see you become a new princess in one of Disney's movies Tara! How awesome would that be to have your voice live on forever like that😀
Tara, your voice fits a Disney princess beautifully, too! ❤️
This intro singing brought the biggest smile to my face
This intro is the best thing I’ve ever seen!!!!!!!
Honestly I so love disney princess songs, they help to build my confidence so much. the only male equivalent I can think of is hercules' go the distance
Plz react to Rise Up Children’s Choir - “Show Yourself”!!
I couldn’t stop crying
Never cry that long...
Thank you for doing this. I'm a huge Disney Princess fan! I'd love to see your take on Frozen II!
Watching this video just gave me lots of nostalgia! I love the princesses so much and seeing you react and saying that you love made me so happy! 😍😍❤️❤️
The intro!!!! 👏🏾I 👏🏾am👏🏾here👏🏾for 👏🏾it!!!
Reacting to Lea Salonga's medley
okay that beginning was SO GOOD I CRIED
i really like the little mermaid as a whole because of the songs and jodi's voice. correct me if im wrong, but i remember the vhs being a musical one.
What a great video! It was so cool to see the style change as times progressed. Btw some of those live vocals were just amazing!
