I got a echo speed feed 400 head yesterday for my redmax bcz260ts trimmer. do i gotta use the black spacer in the echo kit or since the arbor is identical can i just run the head up to the metal stock piece on the redmax head.
Husqvarna has now changed the Redmax Bcz260ts , now it’s an exact replica of the husqvarna 525lst in red plastic. Identical. The 260 shown here is now eliminated from the Redmax lineup.
@@real-g4life The BCZ 260 TS is still listed on their website, However the new model is BCZ 265S, which is a carbon copy to the Husqvarna 525lst. I do hope the BCZ 260 ts is kept in the trimmer lineup though. Can't go wrong with any of them, Red or Orange. The 525 orange platform and 260 Red platform are all outstanding performers.
Please do a video comparing the different gear ratios of regular and "T" models like echo's (2:1 & 1.62:1) husqvarna's (1.46:1 & 2.3:1) I feel like there is a lot to these numbers we don't understand.
I like the throttle trigger better on Redmax, it is longer and has more travel which lets you feather the throttle better. Also prefer the rubberized front loop handle on the Redmax vs the hard plastic on the Husky. The Husqvarna wins on the metal skid plate, and I like how the throttle cable is concealed on the Husky, nice touch. I prefer the Redmax, but both are awesome.
I bought a 535 LST recently. First Husqvarna product ever. I really enjoy the thing. It isn't on par with my FS240. I didn't expect it to be. But that doesn't change the fact that it's an incredible machine.
I’ve always wondered that too. Apparently they just find a tree or rock or cement pad/steps to grind it off to size. I read that in a comment section a few years ago
Cool vid. I knew husqvarna / redmax were pretty similar I’ve never actually used a redmax trimmer but heard great stuff about em. I had one husqvarna trimmer a long time ago it was a 323L it cut great but it started having carbs probs so I finally sold it.
@@exterminator1 They are out of stock. Said he ordered 50 I believe. They sent 25. Doesn’t know when he will get the rest of the order. So they must be good !
i really like the redmax string head, makes me cut the grass very smooth and straight, it has a great prescision cut. Echo speedfeed head its good for fast string line changing, but redmax string head has a better cutting prescision, it easier to cut grass with it.
Does the redmax like having long line out or is it like the husky? Start easy? I've seen reviews where they get frustrated having to make excessive pulls
I have both these trimmers. Both start extremely easy. And both love long line. Echo speed feed on both and let the line out 12+ inches on each end. I love having so much line out you can hear it “hiss” when you hit the trigger.
They both run the exact same guard, idk dia on the actual trimmer heads? My 525LST specs show with shield it has about 20" cutting width. Fwiw- Idk how Husky/Redmax is, Echo/Shindiawa won't warranty their gear box/clutch (possibly its engine given the chance to weasel out) if they suspect it was ran without the guard. Most likely they're the same way damn though. Just say'n...
the 525L replaced the 323L and the 322 took the place of the 223 supposedly id like to try a redmax or two but like echo there's no redmax dealers close by
I have watched most of your string trimmer videos and I am on the fence on what to get. I trim about 10 hours per week as I have about 1 mile or so of fence. I need a good trimmer that will last me. I am currently using an old 128LD but dont think it has enough power. I am debating between the 525 and the 535 LS or LST. Your Thoughts?????
IMO, 525 trimmer is way over kill for day to day trimming unless you are doing tall tick grass. 322 is better and weight is less. I switch between my 525 and 322 for each lawn and I would buy either one all day long as both are awesome.
Not sure why they would want to purchase Red Max. Husqvarna were the best hands down. My 325 and 326 LX e tech 2 is killer. The ldx is versatile. Who knows
Nices i want try a redmax since i got a ryobi 2 cycle that one i had it for 7 years in it still good in i got a husqvarna 525l in a stihl fs70r i got brand on this summer in plus a stihl fs100rx i got it use
Its the opposite here. Im the only one ive ever seen running husqvarna everyone else has stihl and a few have redmax. Im thinking of trying stihl next time just due to dealer support. I fix my own equipment but its hard to get husqvarna parts. Stihl is like McDonald's there's a dealer on every corner just about lol
My set up is much smaller than yours as it's just me in a small van, I have two 535LK's and wouldn't swap them for anything. As we Brits would say, they are the dog's bollocks!! 🇬🇧
Question about the 535lk, been thinking of getting it instead of the Stihl km131, do you have any experience with both? I’m mostly concerned about vibrations since I will be using it a lot( a ton of brush and polesaw use) and powering through tall tall brush
@@ryanalam5669. Haven't used the latest Sthil equipment, but from my experience, the Husquavana's have excellent anti vibe systems! I have 2 535LK's and wouldn't swap them for anything! Easy start, quieter, and shedloads of power!
me and the guy that works for me love our husqvarna and redmax for sure. he will still use the stihl fs111r for the really thick stuff but i think the redmax/husq does plenty good for it. yea i bet if i was there all we would see is kubota and stihl like last time LOL xD
They have different carbs. I prefer the barrel carb on the Redmax. The Redmax trigger is unbreakable too. Husqvarna has high idle choke too. Look at the intake ports behind the air filter. The Redmax has additional strato port, Husky doesn't.
I think the RedMax is a piece of junk first off it doesn't have a plate you have to set it right on the gas tank that's just stupid Husqvarna has that little plate that you can set it on it doesn't sit right on the gas tank that's a big thing right there at Husqvarna is got the most powerful Motors right now and most reliable
Husqvarna basically is Redmax owner. The trimmers you are comparing are not the bes to compare. If you compare your Husqvarna 535 LST to the Redmax 350S you will find they are practically identical.
("Its not the same, Ye it is") for me!!! Had me rolling!!!!
Hows things bud? Yall got any cool weather yet?
@@exterminator1 It's cooling down on this end, we got a warm up coming Thursday and Friday and back cool next week 💪🏽
I run all husqvarna products trimmers edgers blowers chainsaws love them ❤️ especially my 525 lst mark 2 !!!

how much stronger is the 240r? I'm torn between both but leaning heavily towards the beastly fs240
I've seen a few videos with the guard removed, how do you keep the line trimmed? Do you cut the line manually?
I’ve always wondered that too. Apparently they just find a tree or rock or cement pad/steps to grind it off to size. I read that in a comment section a few years ago
Just reel back in if to long .....no need to grind it off or cut it manually
Thank you, brother, for an also review on the product. Thanks to you, I made up my mind on which trimmer to buy.

Sorry for the typo, I meant to say get the 525 LST
The only reason husky bought redmax out was because of how good of a product redmax made
why would they buy a bad product?
Great video bud, you said it! Husky and redmax are the exact same thing. I’d take the husky over the Redmax all day everyday.

They are the same manufacturer
The pull starter is defrent
I liked red max
All husky stuff has different things on them. But redmax makes all husky stuff
