These energy drinks failed miserably here in Australia when Coke launched them about a month or two ago. The last I saw them, they were offering them at 2$ each on a "Special Price", until finally stores were offering them at $1.50 each ("Reduced to Clear"). My own estimation as to why this happened? At least here in Australia - they tasted pretty awful. **EDIT** They tasted pretty awful - compared to existing energy drinks available in the Australian market - with which we are overwhelmed with choice.

For those of you who want energy boosts, but don’t want to have to rely on energy drinks (all the time) for that boost, try caffeine tablets. A LOT more potent than energy drinks, and better value for money. You can usually get 100 tablets for around £8 (which at an educated guess is $12-$13 or so) - only one tablet per day is needed. Red Bull (250ml) and Coca Cola energy contain approx 77mg of caffeine per can, cans of Monster (500ml) contain 160mg per can, whereas single caffeine tablets contain 200mg of caffeine. Honestly - they work wonders for me when I need to do some late evening studying. With that said, I love the taste of a lot of energy drinks so occasionally I’ll treat myself to one.
There was a new rockstar energy drink I found at 7-11 called "XD thermo" in cotton candy and marshmallow. You should really check it out. I bought a few but I havent had them yet. Would like to hear your take if you find them.

How are they brand-new? Over here in Germany it's been out for atleast a year. The normal taste that is, we don't have the cherry flavored Energy Drink. Actually has become my favorite Energy Drink, simply because it's actually refreshing and not "sticky".For instance, I appreciate the taste of Rockstar energy grape or blueberry, but it's so ridiculously sweet that I have to drink water afterwards. Not wanting to create controversy, but here in the Amazon there is the guarana smoothie with açaí (includes peanuts, mirantã, and catuaba) that even raises the deceased. It's delicious and a glass of this bad boy and you spend the rest of the day electric
I hold VENOM to be the BEST tasting and effective on the market and I've almost all of them. But this was surprising well done, imo. Coke hit a home run on this one. Tastes like Coke to me!
I've had the regular version a few times already, and it's one of the few energy drinks that does not make me sick to my stomach, or make me jittery if don't slam it, and sip on it over most of a day.

We've had it since last summer in Norway. It does not taste like a regular Coke. It's got a good hint of a redbull type of flavor mixed in with it!

How are they brand-new? Over here in Germany it's been out for atleast a year. The normal taste that is, we don't have the cherry flavored Energy Drink. Actually has become my favorite Energy Drink, simply because it's actually refreshing and not "sticky".For instance, I appreciate the taste of Rockstar energy grape or blueberry, but it's so ridiculously sweet that I have to drink water afterwards. But yeah, it's quite expensive.

Not wanting to create controversy, but here in the Amazon there is the guarana smoothie with açaí (includes peanuts, mirantã, and catuaba) that even raises the deceased. It's delicious and a glass of this bad boy and you spend the rest of the day electric

I hold VENOM to be the BEST tasting and effective on the market and I've almost all of them. But this was surprising well done, imo. Coke hit a home run on this one. Tastes like Coke to me!
