Amen. It's so baffling to me that rape gets called an act of power and control; sex not included. Well, if sex isn't included, why does male anatomy get involved so many times, especially with serial rapists? This creep is not only an example of having sex involved in his need for power and control over women; he probably enjoys it immensely. Including his sexual assaults, a rap sheet for 70 offenses--and then was let back out of prison??!? Repeatedly??? Yes, this sociopath needs a life sentence; it's beyond common sense and so obvious. Sociopaths can never be rehabilitated; the American justice system needs to get a better grip in sentencing with cases like this one. He's not going to change--duh!
I knew Bowden when we were kids. He was no good even then. When I was in the Army I heard he died during a drug deal gone bad. Then when he was arrested I was surprised and sad to learn he was still alive. He is a complete waste of space.

This was a big case here last year and the video of the 4wd was released and arrested 2 weeks later, if I remember correctly, from the day they released the footage. The argument was apparently over a camping spot. Was devastating to the family, not only did the daughters and wife find out Russel had been murdered but an affair at the same time.

As a woman, I find that hard to believe. In 32 year's of marriage a woman & a man notice the most suttle change in their mate, a different creamer, or sugar substitute, salt sub, little things that other's would not take notice of.
I live in the U.S. so this was my 1st hearing of this case. It's incredible how many cases I've seen from the pacific northwest that are completely botched. That first case is infuriating thinking that they didn't act on evidence they had! It's bad enough he killed the mother, but a little kid too! He should get the death penalty.

He should of been arrested sooner.

Here's a case. Dixie Burke was a roommate of mine in new Orleans. She disappeared from the area ( New Orleans, Fat City, or Metairie). She was found dismembered and in different trash bags. I don't remember if it was trash bins or the swamp. She dated asian guys. I never found out if her killer was found or what kind of time he/they got. She was a sweet if naive girl, but no one deserves to be fed to gators. You can contact me if needed.
