    Never tell anyone, if you keep money in your home. Not anyone! People talk, and you don't know who they are, or if they have addiction issues.
    I'm so glad that Mary Jane's children, now have answers. I've known about the case, for several years. I wish she knew that her daughter, Anna, had been looking for her, since the 1960s.

      @Brieyonce 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@Ella0575if there was abuse going on she may have felt her kids turned their backs on her when they said she was lying.
      She also could have just wanted to restart and not let her new husband know about her previous life, it was very often back then especially because records aren't the same they are now, it was easy to pick up and start over

    • @Ella0575
      @Ella0575 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@Brieyonce They were just kids, why didn't she try to contact them when they grew up, she had many years to do that but she chose not to. I don't understand the second part of your comment. It's very obvious she wanted to restart, the issue is the way she did it. She disappeared just like that, letting her children live in a state of anguish and sadness.

    In Miss Mary Jane's case the newspaper article saying where they had visitors (or visited)? That was a very popular thing in newspapers at one point. When I grew up in the MO Ozarks in the 90s, my mom wrote our village's article. The biggest town ran the newspaper & each little village around in the county would have a person from that village write in every week, the latest things like who just got back from vacation, who was having a baby shower, who's kid made the basketball team, etc... basically just who was doing what in our little area! It was kinda nice.. if you read someone's family was visiting that week, then you knew to not bother them or at least call before you went over. Or if it was written in that someone was sick, all the ladies in the area would bring pies & casseroles to help the family out! Stuff like that!
    I hope this helps why they had that in a newspaper for some of y'all that may not have lived in the extreme backwoods! 😊
