That detective calling Tonya's son had me bawling. To know after so many years that his mother's killer was finally caught had to have been closure like nothing else.
My thoughts exactly. My heart went out to that young man who finally, finally had answers. And to the detective, who was equally emotional about solving this case.
I’m a U.S. Army Ranger (med discharge) I’ve been overseas many times and been in more fire fights than I care to count. Don’t cry often. I was in tears listening to that phone call. Absolute tears. You could feel the emotions of both those men.
I laughed out loud when you said that about that creep's smirk. You took the words right out of my mouth; I've never wanted to smack someone through my phone so much. You're awesome!
We can only pray that more detective's like him exist & that more emotional phone calls like that get to happen for many unsolved cases soon. Advancing technology is amazing.
People don't realize how emotional 1st Responders become when working. As a Field Training Officer I told my rookies to let out their emotions, just not in front of families. If not, it leads to drinking, obesity, and/or PTSD. Being a 1st responder is a calling because you live with memories no one should see.
WOW, if some of these guys had not gotten just a slap on the wrist for their violent crimes against women and children, they wouldn't have been out stealing away more lives. Thanks for sharing these solved cases.
Yeah, I don't understand why, if they're found guilty of abuse with DNA proof, they won't put them down like the beasts they are! No jail time will make them stop being P.O.S trash who don't deserve to be breathing the same air as the innocent law-abiding people.
We are too busy locking up non violent drug offenders. You know that if two people use drugs together and one ODs and dies (despite calling 911) that person can get 40 plus years. But if you rape or abuse children (sexually or physically) you get a slap on the wrist.
Lawdamercy, that phone call! I can't imagine how intense that must be, for the cop as much as the son. The emotions in both of their voices are incredible. It detective's nervous anticipation at the beginning changing to pride and firm reassurance as the overwhelming reality takes over the son is amazing. I'm surprised they weren't ~both~ squalling by the end. I surely would have been! As much as homicide detectives have to see and experience, being able to tell a (middle aged) child that you've arrested someone for the decades old murder of his mother has got to be the sort of thing that makes the job bearable.
Happy Birthday Tonya!! So glad justice has finally been served!! She was literally born on the same day as my own mom 01.25.1961! May they both rest peacefully 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 And I would be the same age as her son according to my numbers. Brought me to tears ❤️♥️
I was listening to your comment and staring at that SOB Dalrymple when you made the comment about that smug grin. I laughed out loud and was afraid I had awoken my wife as it's 4:37 AM. I agree with you on that one. One day someone's gonna teach that old boy a thing or two about revenge. I've been a sub to your channel for sometime now. You do excellent background research. Tina’s story hurts me. She had to take a different route just to avoid bullies. She probably would’ve never crossed the freaking killer if it wasn’t for them. Rest In Peace Tina❤️I’m a complete stranger and I’m generally sorry for your passing.
There is something pathetic about a guy in a prison jumpsuit trying to look cool. They aren’t the least bit remorseful for the pain and fear they inflicted. Some being little girls. I can’t even comprehend it.
Thank you for the kind words and compassion for the victims and their families. You are my favorite true crime stories ❤ ♥ 💖 but when you said you wanted to smack the smirk off his face we all agreed with you .
ty for saving us the details of the torture of the victims. i always felt like the delphi murders was handled classily--we really don't need to know what state their bodies were found in, or what was done w/ them.
Dead Indian road? They should really rename that. Lol Thanks for the video and giving me something to do on this cold rainy morning. No way I’m getting out of bed yet.
I just happened to stumble across another murder on dead Indian road but it’s a different road. I looked it up and I found like 5 roads with dead Indian in the title. So crazy.
Imagine being sentenced to death mainly by random witnesses reporting the person had a car similar in appearance to a "suspicious" looking car...that is just evil on the prosecutor's part.
That is why I can't support the death penalty. Eye witnesses are not that reliable, and there is always the chance an innocent person was convicted. Better 100 guilty people rot in jail than that 1 innocent person be wrongly executed.
The worst part was that fact that they admitted to helping with getting convictions in other cases 'just to close the cases'. That is such injustice to families looking for closer of their loved ones. The families are the ones that are being cheated.
Excluding Candy Rogers dad, there sure were a lot of cowards killing themselves in this case! As a Christian and a suicide survivor it saddens me when criminals kill themselves instead of facing the music. That they have no thought, nor care, of what will happen to their souls when they die. As for Candy's daddy and mine as well, I do understand a broken heart but stand firm in saying, suicide is never the answer. The sorrows upon sorrows you leave behind won't go away until we die. They even carry on, in some cases, to the next generation in your family. Thank you SG!
Just found your channel I dig it . If I can be honest nothing pisses me off more than when I find out some scumbag lived a full life after taken a life . I'm grateful for Parabon solving many cases but why is the cost so high ? I'm just thinking if the cost was lower that would make it available to more people ? Have a Good night / day everyone 🙏
I imagine the cost is high because the reagents and equipment are expensive to buy and maintain. The amount of time it takes to run the test and analyze the data also factors in. I worked in a genetics lab (not Parabon) for a while and the test I would run cost clients $25K and took at least two days to get results back. Most of that fee went to the charges I indicated above--my salary was only $35K a year...
Some very tragic cases with so much death from those not even found to be involved. The single murder (or double murder as in the first case) are so worrisome yet probably the most common as it could be anyone just living their lives after that one murder, getting away with it as long as they stay out of trouble and hope DNA genealogy doesn't find them.
I feel deeply sorry for not only victims families, but families who discover someone they loved and trusted was in actuality a monster. Especially when they NEVER saw that side of the person. Can you imagine finding out your loving, devoted father committed a disgusting offense? I can't imagine my world just imploding, just like that ....
I got distracted for a second on Candice’s case and didn’t hear you say “she went by Candy” so when I heard “the airmen were looking for candy” I saw milk duds and hot tamales in my head and thought it terrible they died because they were too busy looking for candy in the cockpit. I need to pay more attention 😂
I am also from the South. I was drinking coffee when I heard your remark re the smirk on a jerk's face. I am happily cleaning my coffee mess and appreciating your honest, absolutely on-point remark. My mantra has always been 'you might not like or agree with what I say but you can believe it to be the truth to the best of my knowledge '. IMHO most Southern Girls do not play.
RIP to all these innocent victims. I feel so sorry for Kirk and Cynthia's little dog. The pupper had to be so confused and scared. Some humans are pure garbage. I agree with Tonya's son Tim-her murderer was a total coward. When the officer called him to say they had caught her killer I broke down and cried right along with him. That was so gut-wrenching and emotional.
