      People don't realize how emotional 1st Responders become when working. As a Field Training Officer I told my rookies to let out their emotions, just not in front of families. If not, it leads to drinking, obesity, and/or PTSD. Being a 1st responder is a calling because you live with memories no one should see.

      Yeah, I don't understand why, if they're found guilty of abuse with DNA proof, they won't put them down like the beasts they are! No jail time will make them stop being P.O.S trash who don't deserve to be breathing the same air as the innocent law-abiding people.

    • @marquisdelafayette1929
      @marquisdelafayette1929 2 года назад

      We are too busy locking up non violent drug offenders. You know that if two people use drugs together and one ODs and dies (despite calling 911) that person can get 40 plus years. But if you rape or abuse children (sexually or physically) you get a slap on the wrist.

  • @nobody8328
    @nobody8328 2 года назад +52

    Lawdamercy, that phone call! I can't imagine how intense that must be, for the cop as much as the son. The emotions in both of their voices are incredible.
    It detective's nervous anticipation at the beginning changing to pride and firm reassurance as the overwhelming reality takes over the son is amazing. I'm surprised they weren't ~both~ squalling by the end. I surely would have been!
    As much as homicide detectives have to see and experience, being able to tell a (middle aged) child that you've arrested someone for the decades old murder of his mother has got to be the sort of thing that makes the job bearable.

    Imagine being sentenced to death mainly by random witnesses reporting the person had a car similar in appearance to a "suspicious" looking car...that is just evil on the prosecutor's part.

    • @Zaft_K
      @Zaft_K 2 года назад +5

      That is why I can't support the death penalty. Eye witnesses are not that reliable, and there is always the chance an innocent person was convicted. Better 100 guilty people rot in jail than that 1 innocent person be wrongly executed.

    • @GenXfrom75
      @GenXfrom75 2 года назад +9

      @@Zaft_K you're right in that it can't be based on "eyewitness" alone. But with undeniable, DNA evidence, I support capital punishment.

    • @thebewitchinghour831
      @thebewitchinghour831 2 года назад +1

      The worst part was that fact that they admitted to helping with getting convictions in other cases 'just to close the cases'. That is such injustice to families looking for closer of their loved ones. The families are the ones that are being cheated.

  • @Joanla1954
    @Joanla1954 2 года назад +4

    Excluding Candy Rogers dad, there sure were a lot of cowards killing themselves in this case! As a Christian and a suicide survivor it saddens me when criminals kill themselves instead of facing the music. That they have no thought, nor care, of what will happen to their souls when they die.
    As for Candy's daddy and mine as well, I do understand a broken heart but stand firm in saying, suicide is never the answer. The sorrows upon sorrows you leave behind won't go away until we die. They even carry on, in some cases, to the next generation in your family.
    Thank you SG!

    Just found your channel I dig it . If I can be honest nothing pisses me off more than when I find out some scumbag lived a full life after taken a life . I'm grateful for Parabon solving many cases but why is the cost so high ? I'm just thinking if the cost was lower that would make it available to more people ? Have a Good night / day everyone 🙏

    • @kn3390
      @kn3390 2 года назад +2

      I imagine the cost is high because the reagents and equipment are expensive to buy and maintain. The amount of time it takes to run the test and analyze the data also factors in. I worked in a genetics lab (not Parabon) for a while and the test I would run cost clients $25K and took at least two days to get results back. Most of that fee went to the charges I indicated above--my salary was only $35K a year...

    Some very tragic cases with so much death from those not even found to be involved. The single murder (or double murder as in the first case) are so worrisome yet probably the most common as it could be anyone just living their lives after that one murder, getting away with it as long as they stay out of trouble and hope DNA genealogy doesn't find them.

  • @GenXfrom75

    Southern girl, you are something else. I am feeling so sad. All these case are horrible. Then you say take that smirky-assed grin of this face. I just not stop laughing. I had to get up from the computer. I hear you. I think there would be many people willing to do that.

    As I am an avid true crime viewer, I’ve literally watched many hundreds of posts by numerous YT t/c creators. In nearly all instances, CODIS fails to do what familial DNA research nearly always succeeds in doing….identifying a suspect. Time for CODIS to be replaced and for familial DNA research to be accessible to all law enforcement as a government funded crime solving option.

      I wouldn't say *replaced* but ALL resources for DNA should be utilized.

      @@GenXfrom75 Agreed. No family should be left without closure or answers bc of how cost prohibitive DNA sequencing and genetic genealogy are. It’s sad that money is the difference between peace of mind and agony for families of lost loved ones.

    It's weird how the Whitson man murdered just one time. I wonder if he killed others just didn't get caught.

    Their only child....🥺💔 If I lost a child, it would ONLY be my other children to keep me going. If I lost an only child, I don't think I'd have the will to go on. 😭

    Damn, that last little girl's body was found the day after I was born, very sad cases all of them.
