@Kazuya, honestly, I felt more "cucked", as you put it, by trying to 100% BN3 than I ever did with BN4's New Game Plus. Requiring specific Style Changes to obtain specific battle chips to clear the Secret Area turned into a soul-crushing grindfest and it forces you to play in a style that the GAME dictates, instead of using your OWN style of combat, which completely betrays the entire theme behind "Style Change" to begin with.

@@chaikagaz Honestly, I couldn't really get into the Star Force games the same way that I got into MMBN. I remember counting down the days to get my GameStop exclusive StarForce Dragon. I played that game for about 6 months straight. Hopefully the profits generated from the MMBN collections is enough for a brand new MMBN-like series.
I completely agree with this video. If you are new to the series is good to go in order but if you the order of which are the best BN are 3,6,2,5,4 and 1. I'm excited to play all of them again since I was a kid by then and all I knew was to complete the story and I didn't have the internet to discover the secret areas or tricks. My first battle network was 3 white. I remember reading about the concept of a net Navi going into electronics to stop viruses and thought it was clever. I loved 3. So much, I went back and tried to hunt down the earlier ones. I only ended up having 1,3,4 though. I stopped after 4. I’m looking forward to this collection.

My personal pick: 2 3 Blue 4 Blue Moon unless you really want to play as Gutsman. Then play red sun. 5. Colonel on doubleteam. If you played BN2 this will hit all the right notes. 6. by this time you'll have an idea of playstyle. Play Gregar if you want to go for fast kills and a super aggressive style. Play Falzar if you want a more defensive playstyle. Both versions can get a lot of good combos but in general Gregar has the SLIGHTLY better crosses in specifically erase and slash. But Falzar has meteor knuckle which is incredible. back to 1
I think for me I'll be doing a Chronological playthrough even through all of the hiccups of BN1, and for the version of 3-6 I'll be doing Blue, Red Sun, Colonel, and Gregar. Most of those versions are the ones I owned, though I played every version at one time or another due to emulation. Blue is a must because of FolderBack alone, Red Sun just has more interesting Souls, Colonel edges out on Souls for me and kind of need to get to know Beryl and Colonel for 6's story implications, and Gregar because I enjoy the Crosses more, specifically Elec and Slash Crosses.
I just finished replaying 2 myself! I played 4.5 English patch, it was different but I did like it, def give it a try! The competitive scene is gonna be lit!! Thanks so much for watching!
If you don't mind emulating, not only is there an English patch for 4.5, as somebody else mentioned, there's also a patch that restores the battle system to match all of the mainline games, so you have full control instead of everything being automated. It's kind of amazing, modders used BN4 to port the entire battle system across, and started making unique custom abilities for each Navi.
I played all of them in my childhood. Megaman beast, I think thats game 6. Man, that is my favorite only because there is this one scene that made me cry like a baby.
I'll probably do 3 first since that's where I started as a kid and it blew my world. I actually started with the Battle Network games which was all the more frustrating when I was trying to look for more but kept finding these side scrolling jump n shooters... which I was too dumb to pick up at the time that they were the originals games, and that Battle Network was it's own side series. Then I'll do everything else in order.
First time playing series I had started StarForce 2&3 when I was a child I tried playing battle net one I couldn't finish I lost motivation and fun over half way through the game but You got me having hope for the battle network 2
Six was my first and only Battle Network as a kid. I looooved it. Loved the story and I beat it. I'm so excited to try the others now that this remaster came out! I didn't even know this was being released either! Also. Better change that smoke alarm battery. Lmao.
As a veteran who 100% finish all 6 games i can say he was very spot on on everything he said and recommend, exect for gater in my case i like heavy object and lifesword3 2-sets of each and post game is a breeze
I also agree the majority of the PvP will be in 3 and 6. 3 is my personal favorite for polish/combat/pvp, though 2 has my favorite story. I'm going to probably play the games in order and just pvp for fun unless the PvP scene has some kind of time exclusive rewards(Which I honestly hope it doesn't as I dislike time-sensitive ranked modes. It sucks missing out on rewards because i was 'too slow' to get powerful enough to compete)
I’ve only played 3 White and 4 Red Sun, so I can’t wait to play them all. I intend to go through them all in order, especially making use of the recently announces Max Buster Toggle. I do dread going into PvP, if only for all the “AntiDmg” chips that everyone’s gonna have and Navi chips pausing the gameplay.
Navi chips in PvP are going to be especially fun in 3 which had the most broken Navi chips in the series. If they pull out FlashMan you're just dead, no saving throws.
I tried streaming the series on an emulator during lockdown and as much as I loved the first one back in the day that first entry syndrome hits hard, soo many random battle you cant run from, back trackign maps because they all look the same leading to even more extra battles and the often unclear instructions on next streps furthering the wandering made me skip to BN2 after about 35% completion. 2 was the most memorable for me but 3 definitely was one of the most iconic in the community not that i knew of the community til well after the series ended. I vaguely remember 4 but i never finished it and never played the DS games as I traded in my DS before it really got good games since that first year but i remember really wanting the DS version of 5. I'm really looking forward to the collection to finally do a full play through. Kinda sad we didnt get the Network Transmission from the gamecube, but its so different it doesnt really fit with how capcom does their legacy collections
Started playing thru the legacy collection and the buster max mode makes the random battles of mmbn 1 bearable. I kind of wish they put it at say 40 since that's what your lowest HP metgaurds at the first areas are instead of 100 so that it wouldn't make the whole game too easy
Battle network 3 is and always will be a masterpiece of the GBA era. It is a perfect game and will always hold a special place in my heart as "the game we played at lunch every day for two years." In high school. I'm halfway through bn3 on the legacy collection. I bought it on my son's birthday a week ago while we were at GameStop for a different game. Bought my son a copy too. One old high school friend bought a copy, a different old high school friend bought a switch just so he could pick up a copy, and 1 new friend knows the game from then and bought a copy because he thinks he can beat me. We haven't been this excited to play a game in a long time.
all of them clearly 😁 5 and 6 are my favorite games but I'm nostalgic for the first 3 since I used to watch the anime along with it same with pokemon good times.

Read three articles about ranking the Series. Very consistent opinions. Favorite is 3 (blue), second is 2, and third is usually 6. At the bottom is usually 4 and 1.
The N1 Grand-Prix + Hospital chapter was TOOOOOO freakin good. Me as a kid playing through that..the adrenaline was on high as if i was really on a time limit.
I played BN1 so man times that I wrote myself a battery guide on a sheet for future playthrough. I love BN1 despite its flaws. Im currently playthroughing OSS… somehow…. It feels off since im so used to GBA/VC version. Bn2 is my fave but i lost it after getting 1. Bn3 white is what I played but i forgot what to do with accepting a quest. 🫠 4 i played both versions with a guide. The guide was beautiful! Each chapter from 1-3 also explained a summary of each game’s installment. Chapter 01 summarized the events of BN1 before starting bn4 guide, etc. definitely, the feels! 🙏 the game very difficult at the end. The anime tie ins was great! We need a release! Double team DS is just~ anime fan! Bn6 gregar, i had gotten a used copy off of gamestop. Someone had beat the game. I went and fought the boss to experience the ending. It was wonderful. Tldr: all of them of course in order
I loved the battle network games when I was a kid (I also had the pleasure to play the games at the same time I watched the Anime) as for my favorite game has to be network 6 cybeast gregor I remember replaying it a lot when I was younger
I remember when I was 7 I got to post game in 3 and I was in secret area 3, I had no idea wtf I was doing there. I had this neighborhood that beat it at the time, so one morning I woke up at 7am and banged on his door till he woke up and he told me what to do next. In retrospect that was rude AF but in retrospect it's also MegaMan Battle Network 😂
@@DontTrypGaming Ah, I may have neglected to mention I've played through BN2, BN3 Blue, BN5 Team Colonel, and BN6 Gregar. I don't remember which BN4 I played through, unfortunately.
I'm young enough that I got into gaming way past the point where the GBA was a thing, but they do air anime where I live, so my first game in the series was actually the DS version of BN5. Years later I tried emulating BN6 on my PC but halfway into the playthrough my emulator spontaneously decided that my save file did not exist, and I was too bummed out to do a fresh run after that, and that was kind of it. Did wind up owning all three of Star Force though. Kinda happy to get all the ones I missed after all theses years...but really Capcom can we have a Star Force Collection as well? They weren't as good but I still had my fun...
I will buy part 2 of the collection on steam which includes 4-6. In my opinion these are the most refined expierences of mmbn. Of course I played them all back the day already.
Im over here playing the legacy collection im playing BN6 first, im playing both at the same time lmao thats how much I love this shit. The item Cards, the codes you can start with omg.
@DontTryp yeah going to enjoy the story might just do like any % finish with all and slowly come back and finish the ones I like the least will they all have pvp compatibility I wish it was one giant chip library and use what ever you want
With the added improvements to the enchanced graphics its worth playing all of them plus all the chips that are available not available in gba titles in US
For someone new I would recommend 2, 4 (probably Red for Mayl development), and 6 Falzar from a story perspective. The story of 1 isn't strictly necessary, and the critical bits are revisited in 2. The bug fusing final act does a good job of setting up 6 and has maybe the most emotionally gripping final act in the series. 4 is more optional overall, but it does either revisit or introduce many characters, which does a good job of setting up 6. I also think that for narrative flow it's good to have a break game between 2 and 6. 6 Falzar I feel does the best job of progressing the story to it's final conclusion, with team 2 facing Gregar (a threat Lan and Megaman have already bested in game 2) while they instead wrestle with and eventually defeat Falzar, arguably the most powerful single program entity in the series. I found that 5 wasn't needed as while it introduced Colonel it doesn't really develop his character in ways necessary to know for the story of 6. I feel mixed on 3, it's a good game but it also isn't very story relevant to the larger narrative. It could possibly be slotted in place of 4 depending. I mostly included 4 because it "feels" like Lan and Megaman are established as Heroes and are operating at a higher tier, which sets them up for their final struggles in game 6.
I'm only buying the second half. I played all the games growing up but 5 is my fav and really 4/5/6 seem to be the major place where work is being done by the devs.
Yep folderback was such a game breaking chip. If you use any chip, use folderback is hands down the single greatest and strongest chip to use in every battle network game 1 through 6
It's been foreever since I played battle network but on top of suffling your "graveyard" of chips back into your deck it also just acted as a full custom chip(which you would play as its own broken chip by itself) which let you instantly let you repick more chips!?!?
I cannot wait for this started with battle network 3 for exe and played each sequel and alt version with the exception of double team but i played both team connel and team protoman seperately the only ones i didn't play were 1 and 2 since i could never find them in stores as a kid so i am going for those first then see which one i want to go for after playing now i all i need is a star force Collection as it rocked and needs more love and reconition. Funny thing though this and star force are basically the happy timeline in the mega franchise since the original timeline where they had robots instead of network and em wave technology ends with legends cannonically which literally has the last legitimate human die everyone else is a Machine or artifical being so doctor willy's and Light's robot wars basically ended the human race which makes the network/star force timeline way more intresting as they made beings beyond any of the robots in terms of power but had a way better and brighter timeline which i find very intresting.
I started with the first one but with no escape button i ended up using the max buster mode feature to end battles quickly. Its pretty good for farming too. I dont care about achievements so i dunno if using it disables anything.
I’ll be playing 2, 3 white, 4 red because I think it has better giga chips, team proto because of Napalm man and gregar. I’m playing both for chronological order and then pvp. On an unrelated note I’m also trying to avoid spoilers.
To me 3 is the best because of how well rounded the experience is in every sense. Lots of improvements from the past games. And personally i dislike the amount of gimmicks of later games.

@@DontTrypGaming no problem it was good watch. I’ll try to get to 4.5 but I hope to see you in a net battle someday!!
@@yojosenpai261 hell yeah bro!
@@kurtisharen yeah MMBN FANS are amazing I actually both patches downloaded rn but I haven’t even finished all of it yet
I can’t wait! Now they need to come out with golden sun
I played all of them in my childhood. Megaman beast, I think thats game 6. Man, that is my favorite only because there is this one scene that made me cry like a baby.
Was it the ending where it says that lan and his friends grow up?
Yes. Also, man I’m hype because all the chips and event that were exclusive to only Japan is going to be in this game.
Then I'll do everything else in order.
best way to play them is starting from 1 then choosing whatever version you prefer (but 5 since colonel is the canon one)
The only ones I haven’t played were MMBN 6 for both versions… Looks pretty cool to play
Great vid! Would love to be apart of that multiplayer stream if you end up having it bro 🤝
First time playing series I had started StarForce 2&3 when I was a child
I tried playing battle net one I couldn't finish I lost motivation and fun over half way through the game but You got me having hope for the battle network 2
It sucks missing out on rewards because i was 'too slow' to get powerful enough to compete)
yeah if I remember right 3 also had the most content outta them all too
I’ve only played 3 White and 4 Red Sun, so I can’t wait to play them all.

I just learned in watching your vid that falzar can also be merged with the other navi friends.... I keep finding new things out about these games...
Read three articles about ranking the Series. Very consistent opinions. Favorite is 3 (blue), second is 2, and third is usually 6. At the bottom is usually 4 and 1.
And I the middle is 5.
I remember feeling so big brain unlocking bugstyle in bn3 lol
SAMEEEE! 😂😂
For some reason 5 is the most nostalgic for me, especially the music
I need MMBN3 in my veins
Now we need a Star Force battle collection
7:35 Do I spot Roahmmythril footage of BN4 with Higsby's amazing hair? Lmao. Good taste.
I'd say the most memorable is 3,5 and 6. I love 3 the most.
4 i played both versions with a guide.
BN 1 will likely have the run option available as the Japanese exclusive crossover with Starforce (also reboot) was reprogrammed with the run option.
I really Hope So Bro!
I hope so too because the escape battle chip is a bit useless for me
I loved the battle network games when I was a kid (I also had the pleasure to play the games at the same time I watched the Anime) as for my favorite game has to be network 6 cybeast gregor I remember replaying it a lot when I was younger
The only one i’ve played was 3 white so i’m excited to try out the other ones tbh
I played MMBN1 once a long time ago, and that was plenty for one lifetime.
Hmmmm... You Should Try BN2 I feel You HAven't Lived Enough BN Yet
@@DontTrypGaming
Ah, I may have neglected to mention I've played through BN2, BN3 Blue, BN5 Team Colonel, and BN6 Gregar.
I'm playing 3 white version first since it's the only one I've played before and there's the nostalgia factor with that.
All of them but 4, but especially 2 and 3!
I bought the Megan Zero collection on my Xbox so I can't wait to buy the Battlenetwork collection too. Miss the glory days of Nintendo
I have only played 5 and 6 but mostly 5 100% it feels great to have this again from my sp to the ds now PC
Bro You Need To Play 2 When It Comes Out, But On A more Serious Note You Should Play Them All lol
@DontTryp yeah going to enjoy the story might just do like any % finish with all and slowly come back and finish the ones I like the least will they all have pvp compatibility I wish it was one giant chip library and use what ever you want
Good video. But change your fire alarm battery before recording next time 😅
I honestly thought it was mine when watching
With the added improvements to the enchanced graphics its worth playing all of them plus all the chips that are available not available in gba titles in US
Idk what that random soft beeping is during the audio but it drove me nuts. Otherwise phenomenal video
Thank you... Sorry about the smoke detector
I had no idea that those colorful viruses in the undernet of the third game came from the Life Virus of the first game. I played MMBN3: Blue first.
never been part of the online community but as a kid i can def say bn3 is a diamond of a game
New video dropping today and guess what? It's why BN3 Slaps harder than any other BN Game
It’s funny that people say 4 is the worst one, as it’s the best selling game in the series lol
Cause of how 3 did.
Oh damn I remember Gamefaqs thats a core memory.
So which of the Battle Network Games do you want to play?
Me: YES!
😂 thanks for watching bro honestly this had me dying
All of them!!!! 3 and 6 are the best love the extra bosses in them!!!!!!
I can finally play my childhood favorite megaman that all I care about beat all games 3 times
I've never played any of them. Looking forward to just tearing through them in cronological order.
Ill Be doing 2, 3 Blue , 4 is undecided still on which version, Protoman, And Falzar This Time Around. I've Ran Gregar So Many Times lol
GameFAQS! Ahh, so many memories.
To me 3 is the best because of how well rounded the experience is in every sense. Lots of improvements from the past games. And personally i dislike the amount of gimmicks of later games.
Battle network 3 white version was the first battle network game I had as well and yea its one of the best
So nice that half of the answers were "play a game on a console you don't have"
For number 3 one word. FOLDERBACK
Start with Battle Network 2 then work you’re way up and skip 4 and go str8 to 5
Ngl that would be the move for alot of fans
Yeah I'm not down to do 4 all over again and again and again
I Dont think many will lol
I would say 4 is still worth one run, so long as you're willing to deal with a hard final boss (partly due to a lack of good chips)
