A bear plows through immediately. Whereas, a mountain lion stalks it's prey ( sometimes from 3 days to 3 weeks. Unless there's sudden, quick movement of rabbit. or human within that window of 3 days to three weeks. It can travel 28 miles easily. It will return if there is food and water source.
