this is probably one of the most fair review which mentioned most of the things what people would need to know. The most important take off for me, is that it is somewhat suitable to be a laptop replacement which makes it sort of good for work-travel replacement!

For those who still don't understand and ask "Why not just get a desktop PC? etc..."
The whole point why people get laptops, tablets and now handheld PCs is because of their portability and in the case of tablets and handhelds they're even more mobile for use on the go.
It just their ability to be docked for a desktop set up is a secondary but viable function as well.
    - lighter
    - portable
    - mobile
    - take your entire Pc with you
    - can be powerful enough to be desktop replacements for most people, especially if combined with mobile eGPUS which are also coming out. e.g OneNet XGPU. 7600M

I understand your cozy feel, that's why I go for laptops instead of desktops. in the moment I have the steam deck for games, and windows for working with music and all. most games break going higher then 60fps... and I always put the graphics on mid. In the future I would buy a handheld to use as a laptop replacement! it's much cheaper too for my needs.

At home, when I want to play eyecandy titles, I have the GO plugged to an eGpu enclosure with a good GPU inside and that is connected to a massive external display. Also good for all sorts of workloads.
It is satisfying to be able to just detach the thunderbolt 3 cable (my Razer Core X Chroma thunderbolt 3 docking station works well with the usb4 ports) and take the PC anywhere.
Follows me to my couch where I plug it to my tv via an usb / lan hub and I can control my entertainment with it.
More convenient to me than a laptop and the 8.8 inch quality screen is a joy for my eyes.
I have sold a laptop and a desktop PC and this is my solution now. The best so far.

I don't play games but I bought a Legion GO specifically to use as a portable workstation and it's been working an absolute treat. My main aim was to have something that doesn't look like a laptop on stage when my band performs and this tiny thing has done absolutely everything I've asked of it. We can pre-load a whole set, 20+ songs, and play them back without any problems at all, with minimal latency. I've also got Adobe Creative Suite loaded and I can get through some pretty big After Effects projects as easily as on my big workstation at the office. I haven't fired up my Core i9 laptop in weeks, it's gathering dust on a shelf.
I use the same USB Type C hub I was using with the laptop to connect to my big monitor and I use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. It even works OK with touch. When I bought it, I thought it would be OK to load up with songs for gigs but I'm using it as my main computer and it's doing a great job. It's been a revelation.

I guess they're just big enthusiasts about building PC and it's becoming increasingly niche. But especially now with integrated graphics getting so much better and these handhelds... The key really is getting right accessories. Like this legion go could really use a purpose-built folio with a keyboard

Had one of these. Retuned it for the Ally. I do better with the Ally on FPS games but I’m 41, missing my gaming laptop due to the small Ally screen. I don’t notice VRR. I’m buying another Go today and returning the Ally even though I bought accessories for it. I just want a gaming tablet that doesn’t look like a switch. One I can use at home and work and just bring a controller and WIRED earbuds along as there’s a delay like you said.
5g on cod with a controller, loved it
You can use the stock right controller thumbstick as a mouse pointer if you enable desktop controller mode on steam in the settings, not just for each game. Triggers are your L/R mouse buttons. I need to test this out with a controller, mouse pointer wise but it’s more of like, touch the game icon, load up the game, play in gamepad controller mode anyways
    Great video! 👍

The funny thing is that people tend to think this as a too big of a handheld, but looking from the perspective of a laptop, it is way more portable for gaming, specially if you do not care about 8k ultra graphics (wich I don't). And as a person who works from home and codes for web... I am defitely considering this as a next "laptop". It is the perfect blend of a mini pc and a laptop. If lenovo give us more usb and hdmi on the next device so we can avoid these hubs, it'll be just perfect

What you guys suggest? Is it worth it for Video editing also? Can it handle Color Grading like stuff with reasonable export times? I also need not to worry about Cooling much as Legion Go Cooling is not much of an issue as compared to Gaming laptop.

While Video editing with premiere pro was possible you're certainly held back by the 16GB ram which can become a problem in more complex scenes. If you plan on doing so more often I would advice to get an ultra book instead. Or maybe a less known gaming handheld with 32GB.

my laptop would turn the screen all black for a second unpredictably when I am browsing on edge , opera or chrome. I suspected that it was turning black the screen because I was running low on Ram. When that black screen happened nmany times I always have my task manager on showing the ram usage and I notice that when the screen turn black I wasn't running out of memory because there was more than 1 gb still available so I think it wasn't the ram . I also notice it will only happen when I am using a power plan that I tweaked to very low processor usage like 0% to 20% state on battery and plugged to the AC and it will not turn black the screen when I am using the Balance power plan which only allow 5% minimum and up to 100% processor state on battery and plugged to the AC. The legion go may be is turning your screen black when browsing is maybe because of the very low power state it is using when not gaming.

Some cool news though to make handhelds even more desktop replacements.
Mobile/portable eGPUS may start becoming a thing, OneNet are producing an XGPU on indiegogo.
So, handhelds would be able to connect with portable eGPUs to get more performance.
Asus ROG Ally can already do this with the XGmobile eGPU, but the port is proprietary.

It isn't great as far as use as a tablet goes - it weighs twice as much as the average tablet, for web browsing and similar the battery lasts approx. 5 hours on normal settings or 6 to 6.5 if you go to town tweaking it; 5W TDP limit, all battery saver settings on, screen at low brightness and 60Hz, etc. the CPU is way overkill for the device so drinks power and the screen isn't battery friendly either.

      Concerning your Temperature "issue":
That's the 7900x. If you don't use eco mode, it will immediatly go straight towards it's designed maximum temeprature of up to 95 °C.
It sounds and feels unhealthy, but is designed that way by AMD actually. And some apps/programms just immediatly use 100% of a cpu, which will cause those temepratures...
